Bren, that looks gorgeous! The colors here in Kansas are also outstanding this year! I remember hearing that brilliant Fall colors mean a hard winter is coming. Have no idea if that has any validity. -
Yorkie ... you might be right about the hard winter. The Famer's Almanac said we were going to have a bad winter this year. yikes ... lots more shoveling! Perfect day out today though!
hugs,

Blue and Ray, my deepest sympathy. Beautiful cactus. -

Bren, it is very rainy here, but beautiful! Maybe I'll try posting pictures of my yard. -
We don't have the right trees here to turn red.....but have lots of green gold and brownish leaves. I think most of the ones that turn so well are in the Maple family. There are scores of Maples around, but just not any in my yard, or many yards close by. If we want red leaves for table decorations we have to snatch them from other yards and save them.
I have heard that we too will have a very cold winter here in Illinois. I don't think it will bother me too much, as the others ones we have had ( except during chemo when I was frozen the whole time no matter what ) haven't fazed me much.

Blue - so sorry to hear about Ray's Mum - lots of hugs to you both

Just watched a most wonderful speech given by Pres. Obama in Boston. It was a fantastic speech and wonder of wonders......what he mentioned ( not that I did not know it already ) was that if we had true bi-partisan efforts going on how well things would work.
Essentially what it meant to me was that my dumb terribly stupid family ( who now seem to be going extremist Republican ) will not be able to snatch my health care and that of my friends away. You know, it sort of bothers a person when their own family -- who boasts how much they look at both sides of an issue -- just don't come close to getting it.
Sigh !!!!! over and over again.

Mind boggling his afternoon listening to Repugs plus Boehner ( ( Krazy Krauthammer first ) just keep pounding away about the Obamacare/ACA being a lie. I guess I might as well as well say are they stupider than a pet rock or are they worse.
Also heard a great take on the Sibelius hearings. Yes, she is sitting in a hearing room being forced to explain ( but a whole lot of the rest of the country gets to hear the truth while she does ) to Repugs who wouldn't be asking most of the questions they do if they had read the book on it --- and why would you make accusations about things you know nothing about -- because your a Repug I guess. Anyway......they don't seem to see they are in fact giving her a huge chance to SET the record straight because she will be un-covering so many half-truths and outright lies. As they use to say in school ( was that 100 yrs. ago now ) smooth move, X-lax.
While there are problems and no one ( that I know of ) denies that, IMHO many of the Repugs just keep digging the hole deeper. They were and are on shaky ground and why you would just continue to exacerbate that is completely beyond me.

Sending healing wishes to Ray and Blue.
Really tired today, guess most people I know stayed up LATE last night celebrating, now I really understand why most of NE is called Red Sox Nation. What a year this has been - so good to see people celebrating in Boston.
Most of our Fall colour is gone, Hounds of Baskerville fog today, and rain starting now, feel so badly for all the Trick or treaters. We don't get many out here, too rural, but every town has a Rag/Shag Parade, never heard of one b4, wonder if it's another NE thing?
Some really strange things online about Cruz father, very, very strange. -
Hey Guys ... please keep Enjoyful in your thoughts. I just got word that she broke her arm just below the shoulder. That's all the information I have right now. I'll write more as soon as I hear something.
