Five years!!
Five years ago today my life changed forever when I found out I had cancer. I was 42, with no family history, my kids were 2 and 4. I seriously believed my life was over.
But 5 years later, here I still am! It hasn't always been easy, but today I am healthy and happy.
I still think of cancer every day, but the terror of the first few years has eased. If you're newly dx or struggling post treatment, know that it does get better; that you just need to keep moving forward, and the days will become weeks and the weeks years.
Bring on the next 5 years!!

Kerry
so glad to see this as we were dx on the same day--- I agree- it was a shock-like you, no history, kids were 7 & 12 and I thought that was the end..... even with all the positive noise the dr.s were making.
Definitely feel great and am so grateful for all of the wonderful things that have happened over the past 5 years--- this is a major milestone and while one can never be sure, I am choosing to think that I will be healthy going forward!!
Congrats!!! -
