Aimee, so glad things are improving for your mom! Continued prayers!
After I got back from Iowa my brother and his family came to visit from Colorado. The day after they left my MIL came, bless her heart. I can truly only handle about 2 days with her! She is a racist. She interrupts so no one can even finish a sentence. She talks about everyone else in the family so you know she talks about us to everyone else! Bless her heart!
Hugs and prayers to everyone! Miss you all! -
Sheila, I freakin really laughed out loud at your post!!! I'm so sorry you have a MIL like that, I can't imagine the stress. My mom, interrupts like that too, it's frustrating but she's not racist at all. Plus I know my mom is in the beginning stages of Alzheimer's so she's a little off her rocker lol
-
Yes, Sheila , bless her heart.....ha ha ha
-
Thoughts with you Sheila - but yes, like shianne I laughed too.
-
Just read all the posts. What a good time you girls had together! So special that you did this for Mcook, and that she ran the marathon in that T-shirt.
Latigger, I'm with you on that 'crawl for the cure' - LOL. Best wishes for your mom!
Swgee, your MIL sounds like fun - how long is she staying?
-
My mom got to go home yesterday and gave me a call today to tell me shes still alive and feeling pretty good. Shes got thrush so she can't talk very well but it was very relieving to hear from her. Hopefully everthing will settle down for her and her mouth will heal quickly. Thanks all for the positive thoughts for her.
Or should I say bless your hearts. Lol -
Aimee ~ So happy to hear the good news about your mom!
-
Aimee.....me too...((((()))))
-
Hugs Aimee ... Glad that mom is home and on the mend.
-
Glad to hear mom is doing well, Aimee.
Fighting a flu bug today, it's a real pisser when you have a fever and chills then get a hot flash!!! Holy shit, I'm exhausted from covers on and off!!!! Wonder how many calories I'm burning!! -
Hey gals what do you think of sharing one of our group green shirt pics for BCO to use in their fundraiser that the moderators posted about? -
Go for it Aimee. -
that is fine with me ... Also what about them using the picture with all of us .. The one with Christine holding the monkey. -
Jo....That's a great idea... -
LMAO!!!!! Christine I thought of you!!! -
I like that idea Aimee, I was thinking the same thing. If you want to submit it and write the little "story" you could sign all our names. I know this group in general and most specifically the IOWA girls helped me feel not so alone. I felt like I could finally breathe when I knew someone understood what I felt. -
OK I will pull out my pics and find the monkey one and the one of us with our BCO shirts on. -
Love the Organic Coke pic Luanne! -
Luanne.....luv ya girl.....too bad I don't drink coke...ha ha ha -
I need a trip with the women who made me laugh and lifted my spirits! -

I'll be in Boston the week of the 9th-15th December. -
Mary, miss you too. I agree, can't wait to be together again. Being with you lot is better than therapy.... -
Canadian ladies! I was looking at tickets from Providence to Ontario and Toronto. If it would be possible to get together for the weekend for all, most some, or one of you all, which would be the most convenient for you all? Hotel is my treat. Of course, we'll be sleeping together.I can do the 7th-9th Dec 2013.
-
I have a commitment on Friday December 6th but I can be there for the Saturday to Sunday. It would be great to see you. Just let me know. -
