Suspect reportedly dead according to the nets. Remember, though - 95% of what you hear in situations like this is not true. I did just hear the child was a baby.
We will see. -
I did hear there was a baby in the car. Did not hear that suspect is dead. Can't wait until law enforcement digs into her background. Of course I know nothing, but I sure have my suspicions.
-
All the nets are now reporting suspect was shot and killed.
-
They're also saying that the child is safe.
-
RR, so glad to hear that. What kind of maniac takes her baby to a shoot out???
-
The same kind of maniac who thinks it is a good idea to crash a car into the gates at the White House ... Not very rational. I have my theories too.
-
My shoulder has been botoxed. So I will have a "young" looking shoulder, hopefully pain free. Takes a week to start working.
Watching CNN to see what the heck is going on!
-
Blue - happy botox. ALSO hoping for pain free. that'a really what it's supposed to be used for.
Sad about the DC incident. Hope it doesn't turn out the women just didn't know what she was doing. Or didn't get the mental help she needed. Baby in the car, hope who ever comes forward on her behalf speaks English, an doesn't confirm she was just out of her mind - if she was paranoid, having the whole od DC police cafter you can't help the matter...it started cuz she was trying to get by cement barriers at WH.
-
MSNBC just now said there's no word on the child. I'm worried about the previous use of the word "safe." That doesn't necessarily mean not injured.
-
Wendy Davis is making her bid for Governor of Texas. I hope Ann Richards haunts the hell out of Dewherst and Abbot.
The governors wife made remarks that had hubby back pedaling for wifey. She actually said though she doesn't agree with abortion she believes its a choice for women. -

Saw the baby on CBS news a few minutes ago (filmed earlier this afternoon) - she looked o.k. was being carried by an EMT - about a year old I'd guess - poor baby.
-
-
Before we went to dinner I heard the baby was about 18 months old. I also heard it had been injured, but we just got back from dinner at 5:30 so I have been completely out of the loop. I did just hear a good phrase from Chris Matthews - "this sort of troglodyte know-nothing-ism is a hallmark of the tea party." Perfect descriptor!
On a related note, we have these ridiculous "don't tread on me" licence plates that resemble the Gadsden flag here in Virginia. Does anyone else see the irony in the fact that most of them I see are on Japanese vehicles? -
Yes, Matthews called it perfectly! Hope the little baby is ok and has a loving family.
-
I hope the baby is OK too. I first heard OK, then I heard injured and I have only heard "protective custody" since we got home.

This lady is laughable as far as I'm concerned. Can't she just be happy with hubby.............get over it please, you lost....it's over, it really is. We knew your husband about as well as we needed too.

P.S. Pres. trip to Asia is off. It was not a vacation so John Kerry will have to go in his place. Of course, I won't have to turn on Faux News to know they will have already said..............the country is in a mess and the President is going on a trip. It is what they always do........make up their crappy lies that don't happen.....but no one really cares. What a bunch of riff-raff.

Haven't seen anywhere that the woman was armed - shoot now and ask questions later? You all may have more info than we do.
-
Interesting - our news said she was unarmed and they decided to shoot now and ask questions later - great minds think alike. I feel so sorry for that wee girl - tragic.
We had a death of a child yesterday in another state. Apparaently the father went to pick him up from child care and they said he had not been dropped off that day - seems like the father forgot to drop him off and he was in the father's car for the whole day and passed away - some parents do not deserve to be parents.
