I wouldnt say its better but I wouldnt stress over it. Just look at it this way, as long as they took out the lymphnodes and surrounding tissue thaan its all gone and you will probably get radiation too just in case. I had all that stuff and did bmx, chemo, and radiation. They threw everything at it. So actully you get more treatment. Healing hugs

Just for the record, I had this...

Its been 9 and a half years, and I am still fine. No reoccurance....

I had stage 3, 7.5 cm tumor, ER+/PR+, HER-, 2 positive lymph nodes, macroinvasion and extracapsular extension, grade 3 aggressive.

I was told the cancer would likely recur in 2 years... it didn't. At my 5 year mark, the oncologist told me I was extremely lucky...

    hahahahaha

I am still here... and many others are too... so try not too stress too much.

Stats are only stats... its not about your personal recovery.

    God bless.

    Wendy

I had it too with 12 positive nodes. That was well over 8 years ago and I am still here and healthy!

peacestrength, what is the rest of your profile (pathology)? Elements in isolation ... hard to gauge.

Thanks everyone for sharing - it's an encouragement. I had neoadjuvant chemo 1st and then bmx.

MmeJ : My pathology showed macroinvasion and small amount extracap on 1 of the 4 nodes - this may have been the largest node before chemo - it reduced significantly based upon the scans. Or, this large lymph node of cancer could have been several grouped together lighting up as one on PET and breast MRI.

I did not have cPR but neodjuvant shrunk the tumor and on last PET before surgery showed no uptake lighting in lymph node area.

    Thanks again ladies!
