Let's Post our Daily Exercise

Badger glad that you are keeping up with your walking, it was cooler here yesterday too but we're on the way up again for the weekend. Ruth the next big LM event I know about is Las Vegas in March hmmmmm
mrtw43 I would find mall walking dangerous as I'd be wanting to go in the stores instead if walking around the perimeter. Annie/Odie cake/brownies put the kettle on I'll be over
Tonight did spin class.

Walked about 2 miles with the spouse and some hooping. Not quite up to my quota but better than nothing. I feel like I need to do hills every day and keep to the 30 minute minimum on the hooping. I like my new hooping area-- I have a stereo with speakers rather than just the iPod. It's nice to hear some bass and have a larger music collection. I still have far more music on CD than ripped and loaded in the iPod.
-
Cheryl, mil sent a coffee-walnut cake to her son that arrived yesterday, to help get weight on - sweet. Vermont in October will be lovely Claire, Ann, I like the hooping area too in the way you described it. (((Joy)))
Did freestyle step and body balance classes at the gym this morning.
-
Went for my daily walk.
-
Snuck in an extra walk last night. Walked the dogs as usual this morning and on my long lunch break I went to the gym and did about 45 minutes of strength training.
-
Annie: Yea for fat!
Cheryl: Great picture!
Ann: Your area for hooping sounds nice.
Just returned from my fast walk/run. Cooler temperature is coming tomorrow and I can't wait!
-
Exercise today consisted of lots of walking while running errands.
-
Five mile hike with hills. Ooof! Tired.
-
Went walking in the glorious fall weather after work yesterday and was hailed by neighbors having an impromptu get-together. Hung out with them for a few hours and had a few beers and a lot of laughs. Logged 8.87 km = 5.51 miles for the day. Just having my first cuppa this morning. Will get out soon and walk to the Farmers Market and see what looks good for supper, then the library, then pick up my car where it's having an oil change. ♥
-
Well, the only thing I did over the last 2 days is go on a campus tour at the new job. The campus is huge, we walked for almost an hour and a half, so it was something. Leaving on a bike ride now. I'll get it figured out.
-
Didn't exercise yesterday because I tagged along with a friend who needed some moral support when she went to see some specialists & have some specialized tests at a hospital 100 miles away. When we got home, I went right to a football game. It is raining right now (a good thing here) and I feel like I'm getting a cold so will do indoor things as soon as I drink some coffee!
-
Did an hour of spot toning with Denise Austin.
-
Walked 6.55 km = 4.07 miles today. Good day to hit the Farmers Market. Found some local brussels sprouts that I'll roast, and a few ounces of a new three-milk blue cheese that I'll crumble over top. Had a taste and it's YUMMY! http://host.madison.com/entertainment/dining/hook-s-new-cheese-is-a-triple-threat/article_5f4f7a57-742b-562a-bf25-7ccc62913d6b.html
Super-nice here today. Makes me wish I had a clothesline. I'd wash the sheets and hang them outside to dry. ♥ to all
-
Bike ride postponed until tomorrow. Substituted 6 miles of hiking.
-
This morning did Body Combat followed by Boot Camp and when the sun goes down a little more I'm going out to do some yard work.
LB mmmm on the cake but you know what it made me think of and I don't know why, but a nice piece of Dundee cake sounds good to me, and yes I am one of those weird people who actually likes Christmas Cake
Badger this morning I actualy wore a long sleeve top to the gym, of course now it's 90 degrees outside! Ann your hooping area sounds really nice. Claire Vermont in the fall sounds really lovely. -
Badger: We have had a hang-your-sheets-out-in the-sun-to-dry kind of day also!
I stayed outside weeding, trimming, sunning, reading, daydreaming, etc.
-
Had to work today, but walked the dogs this morning and will walk another mile before bedtime.
-
Didn't get in my routine walk in, but did walk all around today so I am counting that and it was definitely more than 2 blocks
-
Hmmmmm. Dundee cake! Just an easy and fun ride around Seattle today to loosen up things for my big ride tomorrow. Here's hoping the showers and storms hold off. I brought home fresh salmon and fingerling potatoes for dinner.
I am gettinge excited about my Vermont trip. Can't wait. - Claire
-
Glorious weather here today too. Spent the morning doing some serious cleaning then took a nice 3.19 mile walk this afternoon after relaxing for a while on the patio.
Good luck on your ride tomorrow Claire.
The vacation in Vermont should be beautiful this time of the year.
Happy Sunday everyone. -
Lots to catch up on. It's a good weather day here today, for a change. I have not much energy for a hike but may putter in the garden for awhile. In-laws are in town and will be here for dinner tonight. What to prepare for dinner?
Autumn is closing in - the cooler weather is a welcome relief as we have had a very hot summer. AnnieLane Good news on your biopsy! LB and DH (((hugs)))
Life goes on and I am trying my hardest to keep up. I'm functioning, but am taking the time to grieve and heal. Thank you for thoughts and prayers.
-
Spent most of yesteray drinking water, gargling, & taking naps. I think this will be a nusiance cold, not the knock down/drag out kind. Today I did some light toning & a slower than normal 45 minute walk.
Sending good thoughts to you joy, and lilac too.
-
Took that bike ride today. Found a nice, easy paved bike path to reintroduce DD to her bike (it's been years.) It went, well, just OK I guess. But getting back on is the hardest part.
-
Yay SAB!!!!
Joy....what about schnitzl??? Super easy to prepare, and always a hit. Serve with some cucumber salad, potatoes, another veg (we have lovely fresh beans here right now) and you're good to go. I would add wine...perhaps a sylvaner? Have them bring dessert. I am glad that you have DH's family close.
I did the 60 miles as planned today. Hurts to sit down, and I didn't quite do all the hills. But one hour less time than last year, so I am super thrilled with everything. I started late as overslept and still finished earlier than last year.
Off to the supermarket for supper eats suitable for recovering from my ride and celebrating! So an additional mile on foot. Had my first hot bath of the season. Feel relaxed, but butt is talking to me big time. - Claire
-
Today I wiped myself out by walking too far. Learned my lesson, take it even slower than I think I should
-
Walked the dogs 2 hot, humid miles. That is all.
-
Claire I just had to pop back in to give you a virtual high five!
Take it easy mrtw, you WILL get there! -
Going to Zumba! today after a week off. I was in NOLA getting my tatoos with Vinny Myers which came out awesome. Still wearing pads on them so gotta prep them before and after work out.
-
After a weekend of weddings, birthday dinners and fall kickoff dinners I am back. Rode inside today while watching a movie. I need to find some more chick flicks! I planned to ride around 10 miles and got so caught up in the movie that I rode 17!
-
Trying to catch up but too much to read, so I will just jump back in. Finally over my 2 week cold which really knocked my socks off. But now to get back to exercising - did a little classical stretch this morning - no walk at lunch due to showers, but I'm definitely adding that back in. Hope to add the gym by Wednesday, will probably put spinning off for a week and just do intervals and weight machines.
Put my baby on a plane yesterday to London, where he is moving for work. He was our challenging child, and we are so proud that he finally has got his life together. But I did shed a few tears, as I know now he is really out of the nest, and a lot further away than I would like. But this is a great opportunity for him, and now is the time to do these things while he is young and unencumbered.
