    Cowgirl,
You will be happy to hear that I am somewhat of an expert on goats. I took my granddaughter to the county fair. I walked up to a little girl and asked if my granddaughter could pet her goat. She gave me this look and said, "She's welcome to pet her, but she's a sheep." Oh, boy.

Cowgirl -- Cute goat! I'm glad you are getting the house clean. I know it's tedious work, but you sound less stress already!

Carrie -- I'm glad you are feeling better too! It's good to see you laugh.
I used to be scared of storms as well, but then I slept through a category 3 hurricane when I was 10 and haven't been scared since. *shrug* I guess I figure if I could sleep through a hurricane, a normal storm shouldn't be that scary.

    imageLet's celebrate!image

Mom did post rads blood work Monday and saw the onc Wednesday. Good news all around! The only thing is her liver function was slightly high, but it could have been all the burgers, pizza, and french fries she ate while they were up for a visit. She starts Arimidex today and, if she tollerates it, will be on it for a while. My parents are now planning a trip to Albuqueque to visit my brother and his family. They will also visit mom's aunts, uncles and such on the way up and back. I think they are planning on being gone about 3 weeks.

Also, I had my Thermodynamics final last night and I think I aced it! I know I at least passed it so I passed at least passed the class -- which is all I really needed to do.

    imageSo, let's party!image

Our cocker spaniel puppy thinks he's a goat. This morning he was chewing on a lense from my daughter's glasses. I was irritated with her for leaving them where he could get them too. She lost them in her gym locker for six months! It's enough to drive me nuts.

she will eat it . She knows how to open the
lazy susan too ! One day she ate a whole apple pie!

She will eat box and all . Really she is a 8 year old counter surfer

BLU - that's wonderful news for your mother and for you with your course! I'm so happy for both of you!!

Catherine and Carrie, you guys are making me nervous about getting a dog!! I love spaniels ~ had one when I was a little girl and she did some silly, silly things. Dogs that eat reading glasses and eat pies, box and all??! Oh No!! I'll keep these things in mind when we bring a baby home in the next few weeks!!

Hi ladies, had to stop by to check in. Only one more test to do and then the visit to the doctor. Everything is fine so far apart from the elevated liver enzymes which I think is due to the tamoxifen. So that's ct scan, blood work, gynae stuff and bone scan today. Only the mammo left to do. Tried to do it yesterday but the radiologist wasn't there. I'll be so glad when this is over with again for another year. It took 5 hours today to get the bone scan done.
Hopefully when I write here next month it will be full of days at the beach lol.
Carrie as soon as the wind gets up here I am nervous and we don't get tornados so I don't blame you for getting worried.
Cowgirl the goat is sooooooooo cute.
Blu one in three women develop fatty liver from tamoxifen so if your mum is taking it then maybe that's why her liver enzymes are raised.
Catherine,Sherry and Paula, nice to meet you.
So ladies I will keep checking in with the good news.
    Hugs

Nice to meet you too! I think Max is just the "demon dog"; most puppies aren't as goofy as him. Several people have suggested getting him fixed, but I'm not sure that would help the chewing problem.

    It's a good thing he's so cute!

CatherineF, the "demon" dog huh? I had a basinji and they don't call them the devil dog for nothing. No, getting them fixed doesn't help.

    Margaret,
When I use to show dogs I always loved the basinji
I don't know alot about them but I loved to watch them show, little tails always wagging they seem like such a happy dog !

I read in another thread about goat dogs and a breeder suggested putting vanilla extract on items the goat I mean dog, likes to chew I guess it taste terrible.

Now would'nt that ruin a loaf of bread or box of Oreo's

    hugs,
    Carrie

I am back from goat camp! Three days of being with goats, and people more obcessed with goats than me! Talk about fun!

We came home to doctor, worm and dehorn a few goats. We dehorned two goats with bands. They have a headache right now but they look fine. We also did a small bit of other doctoring which is better left unsaid. Middle one trimmed his and younger's goat till 10 PM the night before the show. We were the last in the barn, thankfully the people running it understood Middle's determination with showing a good goat.

You guys kept it up, and more new people! Yay!!! Mags DH's gallbladder affected his liver, so many things can! Glad you are almost done! Blu I am very proud of you!

I will post pictures if I can get some uploaded!

Whine away girlfriend, whine away...with the heat that's been going around and you've got a cold?! Not pleasant...a cold in the heat just makes you feel worse. Lots of liquids, rest when you can...I know, I know..with kids and goats and a DH and your mother and everything else, next to impossible..but do try! Time to be good to you.

    Hey all!

Sorry it took so long to get on here...busy weekend! We kept our grandson while mommy went to the hospital to bring Savanna into my life (yes, it is all about ME!) She is sooo beautiful, has my laid back personality and her grandpa's hair line! LOL! Actually, she has way more hair than him.
    Man, am I in love!!!

lini, baby breath is awesome. Right up there with puppy breath!

Cowgirl, do baby goat's breath smell good? Bet you wish you could smell anything right now! So sorry you are feeling yuck.

Sherry, I stole your picture, it is so sweet.

Carrie, When Trenton (grandson) held Savanna he said that he heard her first words. It was "Hi Trenton"! When his dad tried to explain that that didn't happen, Trenton said "Dad, my ears don't fail me!" ROFL

    Have a great nite everyone!

ohhhh kids are too cute! I agree with Trenton, I am sure they just didn't here Savanna!

Well I can smell a big mess, one goat that is not coming forward pooped and peeped in a feeder that he knocked to the ground. I think it was Big Boy. he is mad I told him yesterday that cabrito was an option if he didn't shape up! So I began with disinfecting and hearing Middle one scraping poop while complaining that the goats didn't behave!
