Wooo Hooo, Lee!
-
Yea, Lee7! I love having someone new each time.
Lorraine, congrats on the new house. I can't believe you have another surgery!
-
Without going into details, I have a need to publicly say Thank You to MondaysChild. She was a huge help to me in dealing with an emergency situation this week.
Thank You, for you know what a mess things would have been without your help.
-
galsal - that is so sweet, and I thank MondaysChild too for whatever she did for you! It is good to have friends!
-
What a wealth of wonderful Ladies here. Don't think I haven't included you in my estimation of being wonderful too, SpecialK. You took the time and trouble to visit me in the hospital after the BMX and we didn't even know each other.
-
Yes, SpecialK goes out of her way to help.
We were acquainted on the TE Trouble thread, and she drove some distance to see me after I had been discharged from the hospital following my first TE failure -- the Saturday after Thanksgiving 2011. She even brought roses and a People mag.
We talked and swapped our TE and cancer war stories. That led to meeting up with y'all at Cheesecake Factory a couple of times. I missed both "house" meetings this year, but I'm looking forward to this get-together in 2 more weeks!
-
We are blessed to have such wonderful, generous and gracious members in this group! See you there, Ann. I will be there, even if I can't drive by then.
-
galsal, do you need me to come and get you? You know I will, right? It was my absolute pleasure to come and see both galsal and annalive - if it helped you that makes me happy, but it helped me too!
-
Awww, no way of knowing just yet. Thanks for offering and will keep it in mind.
-
Hope everything is okay, GalSal! MondaysChild is a great friend.
-
Oops, just saw my calendar and realize our meet up is NEXT week, not in 2 weeks. Yay! I hope more can join us, and please be there Galsal.
-
Things went well, I'm home now.
-
Aww, I just saw this. Galsal, thanks for letting me know when you had a problem arise and trusting me to help. I am happy I had was able to be there for you and happier still that you are doing well tonight. ((Hugs))
-
Galsal, glad you are home and things went well. Sending you good thoughts! Take care. ((Hugs))
-
Has anyone heard from ameron or kira lately?
-
MondaysChild I'm still here. I have way too much on my platter so mostly just checking in. I would love to join up with everyone next week, but school is just too stressful right now. Our school was one of the bottom 100 in Florida for the fcat last year so you can imagine the stress we are all under. I might add we are the poorest district in Florida as well.
-
kira, I am sorry you are under stress. That is not good for your health so I hope that eases up soon.
It is good to see you are still around, but we will miss you next weekend. Perhaps next time.
-
Ladies, I'll be seeing you this weekend as planned and under my own speed too. Cheesecake is calling my name!! I'd not yet shared this, but here's the scoop.
An unplanned surgery was done Aug 16 for a complication starting Aug 12, stemming from the July 15 surgery. With my Nurse Son being out of town when this happened, I freaked a bit and contacted one that I knew could handle hearing/seeing it and give me direction. MondaysChild came to the rescue.
Thankfully, drain has been removed and I'm cleared for careful/cautious driving although still off work for a recovery phase.
-
galsal - glad you can make it and that you are doing better!
-
Okay, it's me again.......I'll be there Saturday if someone reminds me what time we're meeting!
Surgery went very well! Well, I could fuss about the long wait........blah blah blah...but now that its done I'm very happy!
This month marks two years since chemo started and 25 months since my Bi Lat mastectomy. Time to put Humpty Dumpty back together again!!!
Ameron, you riding with me?! -
GalSal,
Do you need a ride? I do t know where you live but I believe it's in FL so I believe I could find it!!!!!! Let me know!
Firework -
firework - ameron has not been on since the first week of Aug, so I am not sure she knows about this get together on Sat. Do you have a way to reach her outside of BCO? Or does anyone? The only thing I could think of was a contact through her jewelry business.
Edited for spelling - apparently spelling firework was too much for me, lol!
-
I live incredibly close to where we're going. Don't let me stop any one from getting me, if the desire is great.
Pop me a mesage for the address.
Galsal
-
Looking forward to seeing everyone!
Galsal - Glad that you are doing better, and sorry that you had to go through that!
-
Hi Ladies,
Firework thanks for sending me the private message so I was reminded of the upcoming lunch. Really, its the 24th already??? I needed a little more time this summer! But yes count me in, wouldn't miss it!
-
ameron - glad you got the word!
Looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday!
-
SpecialK,
I too have issues with or without spellcheck!
Ameron answered my email this morning. We're gonna meet at the Starbucks on Ulmerton and ride together!
Look forward to seeing all of you!
L -
firework - Lol! I know what you mean - glad you two can carpool it! (Haha, this time I mispelled two, but caught it before I hit submit!)
-
Glad to hear from you ameron! I have to be out of my house the night before, so I am actually going to be coming from the hotel at International Mall.
-
The trip will be so tiring for you, MondaysChild.
