STFU (Shut the F*** UP)

Went to see the oncologist's assistant. Ended up getting fluids. Blood reassure was
98/ 60. Now I want to take a nap. -
LOL I was caught up in reading then didn't post for X hours and there's 3 more pages. SO much happening. thinking of you all, if I forget someone sorry. Reading last page I finally thought to take notes.
Julianna--toilet is STILL on the porch, BUT I am making headway. I think I finally have made choices on wall tile. Looked at soooo much. Found lots that I love, but trying to keep the dollars reasonable. Samples, on the truck. Hoping I don't change my mind again. Visualizing the end product though is gelling after months. AARP HARTFORD HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE SUCKS. Hope the PS can correct the frosting problem
Mostlymom--you didn't say neutered .....Yay, hope your energy finds you again
Blondie, what a relief, you can stay put---All the acivity of moving, ranks right up there with the plague. Sorry about the lice. Spookie can tell you that anywhere in florida, when we feel like somethings on our skin we react quick. The other night, in bed, lights off, tickle on my eyebrow, rapid sweep of brow and just as rapid swipe on bedsheet. Felt a gush. Knew it was something, but oh so didn't want to turn on the light. IT WAS A SPIDER-UGH.
Veggy Hugs and all the thoughts that go with it sweetie.
A thought for everyone and Veggy. Way back when, I talked about YouScript owned by Genelex RE: DNA testing for how the liver metabolizes drugs. I found them in Jan 2010. They are the ONLY ones in the world doing the combination of DNA testing AND the application of the results to actual drugs. Other companies do the same DNA testing, but not the analysis to the drug component. Veggy Ixempra didn't do well with you, but the unknown is why? 1-800-TEST-DNA.
The good news is after ALL this time I spent talking about having the test done, I FINALLY had it done. It's a simple swab in the cheek for 30 seconds with two swabs. Can be done by blood sample too. I still can check peoples drugs and not have my info involved. For those that weren't here for the discussion. It's not that I'm telling anyone what or what not to take. It allows someone to say to their docs "Hey we have a drug interaction going on here, or my DNA says this drug won't work on me as it does in others. Whatever your system is it hasn't identified it".
I "failed" my adjuvant chemo. It was b/c of a drug interaction. No drug checker picked it up but Genelex's. That's why I talk about it so much. Rationale: If a drug isn't working, let it be for a known reason. Not because a doc is doing protocol drug use, at universal dose when perhaps I need a smaller or larger dose, or there's a drug interaction. I'll never know if those 4 chemo treatments will have changed my life. I do know that one chemo almost killed me.
So much for the breezy lite post I meant to write.
-
breezy and lite is fine for sometimes. This was juicy information. MUCH better!!!
-
Chevy, in Girl Scouts we called that kind of camping "primitive camping". They dug there own latrines. Buried their food in trash cans to use the earth as a fridge, lots of other survival stuff......Anyways LOL....not for me.....have to have at least a clean toilet. I used to bribe someone at girl scout camp to take my rotation on latrine cleaning. Got caught one time. Punishment was I had to clean them by myself.
Cami glad you don't let anyone give you grief, you are so funny in defending yourself. But it's also fun for certain ones to see what they come up with ---keeps me laughing gals thanks
Phillysotired call me when your up, or I will try soon
Shells hear anything yet????????

Hey Chevy, yes my name is Kathy and I am the little sister, sometimes you'd think I was the older one, still, I love my sisssys. Ducky, I am really glad I found this board, a little venting never hurt anyone! I love my boss, but I have to say he's needs a filter sometimes. This is a great place to get info. I always look up meds and then look up what all of you have to say about it, because you all know better what it does than the doctors I think. Anyways, I told them at work that they need to look this thread up and read all the stupid shit they say to me. Thanks for welcoming me! It's nice to talk to people that know how I feel, for real.
-
Mary, I'm with you!
-
Welcome Kathy
Mary in your pocket

Sas, how receptive was your doc to the YouScript? I looked at the site and it looks like the MD has to request it. Do you know how much it costs?
-
Savi, Pcp very receptive, also, psych counselor. I introduced both of them to the Genelex in Feb 2010 after I found it. The predessor to YouScript was GenemedRX. The GenemedRx name was changed to YouScript in 2012. maybe late 2011.
PCP attempted to get me tested during 2011. insurance wouldn't approve it so it wasn't done. PCP continued working with Genelex when insurance would approve for her other patients. Slow going at first, but she's into it.
When I received the insurance rejection letter. I could have appealed it, but allot happened around the rejection time. My testing fell by the wayside. Medicare approves it, so my medicare HMO should approve it now. Many insurances follow Medicares lead. The company has a billing prompt, they might be able to tell you if your insurance will accept testing.
Pcp and I intended to do it way before this, we just kept getting sidetracked. We talk to much LOL. I had a DUH moment a couple of weeks ago and went in specifically for the test. No idea of cost, will let you know if i get a none coverage letter. This time my mind is in a better place to do battle.
Pcp offers it to all her patients as she determines need. Don't know if the 6-7 other docs in the practice are doing the same.
My counselor is a Licensed Pyschiatric Social Worker-- LPSW. As such he can't prescribe medicine. He recommends drugs based on his dx to either PCP or Psychiatrists. He has 35 plus years in practice. He at one point thanked me for introducing Genelex and GenemedRX to him. He attempts to get all patients tested. He will make no treatment recomendations unless DNA testing done. In his thanks, he said that his approach to drug treatment had changed entirely since using the DNA testing, thus changing his whole approach to his practice. COOL eh?
A pebble thrown into a pond sends out a wave, what that wave affects is unknown.
-
Savi, introduced MO to Genelex@ same time as Pcp and counselor. I'm talking 2D6, 2C9, 2C19, and about a dozen or so other enzyme pathways. MO's mouth dropped and he said "I don't even know this stuff". That was in FEb 2010. In early June 2010, one of the oncology nurses told Dh and I that they just had an inservice on testing people for DNA, to make sure how their drugs worked. We just smiled. Not sure how it has progressed. Forgotten about this Savi, wonder if the wave countinued. If it did that's three practices that I changed. Again, COOL
How did I get into it? DH's Chemo wasn't going well. Did an internet search.
-
Oh Mary and Ducky - it does my heart good to be around youse, so, so good!
Mary, Blondiee and Veggy - in your pocket, dont mind the lint at all. Some of the other hoolies are rambunctious, though, not me.
Welcome Little Sis! You knowm Duckster has been MIA for part of the summer, but as soon as we have a new friend, there she is with her mile high club. You would not BELIEVE what a ringer she put us through before she took that plane trip! I thought we would never hear the end of it. She is awfully smart and cute, though.
All you other hoolies, Chevy, Wren, Cammi, et al............................. and sweet Julianna, hope you all are well. Miss my son, getting back into the groove of life, very low energy but it is what it is. No word, yet, on the job. Still collecting unemployment.
💛

-
Morning Chickers! Are you still in bed with little Cooper? Wake up! Wake up! Don't know why, but it sounded good...Wait Ducky! You have a hot-tub in your bathroom? One of those 8 foot round ones? With room for what? 6 or 8? Do you have a deck around it? Who knew?Geez! I ALSO didn't know our little Phylliphotoperson was so talented! She is entering a show! Dang! I Can you post some of your pictures here? After they are shown? Or is it a secret?
Oh! What are they of? Can you even post them here? Ha!
LittleGardens... So most of don't even have a clue what you are talking about.... like installing firewalls for some sort of people.... except I, of course, do. You must work for a IT business that helps those of us who are too clueless as to how a firewall benefits us... on our computers. It's to keep the bad guys out.... right? And that is your job! Man, I HATE to do stuff like that, and then try and un-screw what I just did. Much LESS, do it to people I hardly even know!Spookie! You are right And I'm gonna meet my misharamio! Ha, ha! I know craw-dads.... kind of like a big ugly shrimp... that live in the mud. Oh yum!And of COURSE you have "palmetto bugs".... You live in Florida with my DD....I think that's a relation to a CR? You also have "love-bugs" and those cute little gecko things...I just went outdoors this morning, before dawn, and I could hear crickets all over! I think it means Autumn is on it's way... I'll really be happy when it cools off.Veggy.... hope you are feeling better this morning.... thinking about you!And Sassy! Did you see our "new" gal? She got mad at someone for something.... We have to be armed..... for these brainless people... they roam around EVERYwhere! We have to take care of her.And yes, I was a Camp-fire girl too! And we cooked hamburgers on the tops of those tomato juice cans, with a little fire underneath! Do you have ANY idea of how long that takes? Like we could have STARVED to death waiting for that thing to cook! And we sat around the camp-fire singing 99 bottles of beer on the wall?Oh Ducky, you blabbed about us to Lilsis! She is just a little squirt, so go easy on her. I wonder if she can tell you ARE full of s**t? But yes, you ARE the cutest! You look just like this.... right?
Lilsis, if you tell people to read this, they will think we are ALL nuts... Just Ducky is. She is a rebel... She walks around with sword and a shield..... she's just that way.Morning Shells, Mary, Alyson and Lilli! Talk to y'all laters....xoxoxo
