Hugs, Sheila.

Sheila, missed you too...love the pic.
Chris, bummer on the hours, but it's could be a mixed blessing... Doesn't the summer go by so fast? My DD in DC is sending her kids back to school in a week. Is DD done with her chemistry course? (can't remember)
Sandy, Happy Birthday (I tried to post earlier but it got lost...) I hope you enjoyed the plans you made. You deserve it!! And some of us don't think 60 is so old...it's just a day past 59...And for me, birthdays are everything!
I hope most of you enjoyed the beautiful weather we have in the east.
-
Missing you all. Very busy summer. I hope you are all enjoying it!
-
I had Colonoscopy & Endoscopy today
DR said everything was good and he added he found a lesion on the esophagus removed and send it for Biopsy
Don't they know you can't use lesion and biopsy in one sentence.....It made me nervous he wasn't concern but now it's in my head
I asked him if he thought it was cancer he said NO......Still I'm nervous
The End
Good Night my friends ♥
-
Due for the same tests Sheila...just have to get my act together...so tired of hospitals, Drs, tests, and meds......oh well shit happens
-
I had so many tests this year they were all routine
Everything was fine......Today's test was the last one...i don't know maybe i'm making a big deal about this

Sheila, so glad you had good results Yay!!!
I had mine last summer and dr. found lesions on my stomach lining and biopsied. It was negative and he wants me back this summer....not wanting to go back...I've had enough appointments, too. Cardiologist on the 19th....I have to tell him I stopped taking the statins. I hope my cholesterol is still in the safe zone.Linda, hope your summer is great...it just goes too fast! My DD is visiting her new home (rental) tomorrow...and registering her 5 year old for kindergarten in Cohasset. They spent 2 days in Nantucket with friends...and fell in love....I hope they don't adopt that as their new favorite beach town....
Thinking of everyone (((ToL)))

Sheila, SO god to see you!
Sorry I missed your birthday, Sandy.
It gets frustrating when life gets so busy you can't enjoy coming here. Last week we were gone for our anniversary/my annual onc visit. Tomorrow is our actual anniversary, but we usually incorporate my dr visit on our trip. This Friday I head back for an MRI and a mammo. On Wednesday I go with DS to three different dr appointments. I'm tired!

Has it ever been so quiet?
Sheila, I do not know the answer to your question. I guess if there is anything revealing in your emails, then change PWs for those things.
Hope nothing ever comes of it...
J -
Sheila---yes change your password on everything.
Even if you just change one letter or a number please do it.
Joan--about those damn statins I'm off them as of today.this morning when I got up my legs from the knees down had those pins and needles and naturally I fell.I have a black and blue mark on my rear end the size of an eggplant..done.
Still unpackin...grrrrrr
Nice to see you Meece, ducky and anyone else I forgot.
Xo grannydukes -
I hear you Gran.....fed up with all the meds...this I not living.....
-
Hi GrannyK, hi Ducky...
I have to go to my cardiologist on the 19th and did not tell him yet that I'm off the wonder drugs....hope I pass my blood tests.Sorry to hear about your mishap, K, this is NOT what you need...
It sure has been quiet ..guess not many are TOL -
I hope you pass your tests, Joan. And that no doctors give anyone a hard time about what meds they don't want to take.
Hope you aren't too sore, grannydukes.
My yahoo email was hacked a little while back - such a feeling of violation. Best thing is to change passwords frequently and try to make them hard to "guess." Of course, the harder it is for a hacker to come up with it, the harder it is for us to remember...
"D"H is watching Duck Dynasty. I want him to go to bed so I can watch my recording of Perception and eat my Peanut Buster Parfait I've been waiting to eat...
((((((TOL))))))
-
I like Perception, too. I have an episode or two recorded to catch up on.
Took DS to the VA yesterday for 3 appointments. 10:30, 1 and 1:30. Should have been able to have a nice lunch between them. HA!!! We didn't get finished until 4 pm.
I have an appointment with myCardiologist soon and I still haven't had the bllodwork done that he requested on my last appointment. I'll plead ignorance that I thought I was supposed to get the test done just before the appointment.
-
Hey Meece......works for me...sounds good...........lol
-
Have the alarm set for 4:30 am so we can head out to my MRI appt. then 2 hours later for a mamma. Not looking forward to it.
-
Meece, sending positive thoughts along with you for your MRI and mammo...
I was supposed to have blood drawn 6 weeks after I doubled the statin dose; never went; now stopped the statin so dr. will not know if it even worked...hey, if my levels are within acceptable range, i am going to continue taking a break from the pain the drug caused.
Grandkids here...we had fun at the beach...they were up too late and me too...We watched Parental Guidance - it was fun. Hope we all sleep at least past 8 AM. I left breakfast on the table for them just in case they get up early.
-
Thank you! I need to drink plenty of liquids on my way to make the IV easier.
-
Good luck today Meece.
Hey Joan--I feel so good off the statins
I'm glad I don't have a Dr yet to scream at me.
I finally got my AC and I have the heat on...it's freezing here but this is my weather.
Xo everyone
Grannydukes -
Hi all. Hey Granny and Joan I have a question for you. I went back a couple of pages but couldn't find an answer to my question so I am going to just ask and if you don't want to tell me then just tell me to STFU (oh yeah that's another thread) hahahaha... No seriously I take a statin and am wondering what made you decide to go off from it? Was it because of what they can do to you, interaction with another drug, QOL... Just curious as I take a statin. It was my goal before BC (it was the only prescription I took before BC) to get myself off from it because I hate taking pills and what they can do to you...
Thanks,
Cindy AKA Squishey (name from another board) -
Crog.........if your within range maybe you can stop.........however I would not do it without checking first with your Dr......know what you mean about SE's.........I you take Coq 10......it helped me. 200 mg a day.........then when Letrozole joined the club SE's of aches and pains returned, but the statin thing was under control till then........
I had unstable plaque, and a piece broke off blocking a small artery........heart attack, but mo major damage to the heart...thank heavens..........
Would love to stop all of it....... -
Thanks Ducky. I have an appointment with my primary doctor in a couple of weeks. I will talk with her then... Last time I had it checked I think it was around 154 total cholesterol (of course that is with taking the statin).. I do not take Coq 10.. Will look into and check if it would affect anything else I am taking. I know what you mean about aching, I ache all of the time now. Oh to not have to take any prescriptions would be wonderful!!!!
Cindy AKA Squishy -
Squish...My underdstanding Coq10 interfere with nothing.......google it..Hugs
Headed to the shore tonight for the weekend.. -
Ducky, sounds like fun.
-
Veggy...it will be 2 of my favorite Grandchildren.....their Mom....(youngest daughter), and her husband........shore time is coming to an end......much to short a season.....how nice to have 6 months of each instead of barely 4......way too short...seems like your just settling in,many it's over....
Wish I could take you Veg......you would love it......we could sit by the pool and chat away.....hugs -
Thanks Ducky. Will check it out. Have a good weekend!!!!
