Stage 3, HER+ Survivors, How long? Anyone from Wisconsin?
Hi Girls,
This is my first post but have been coming here for a while for good news, hope. I have read many good stories. I am from Wisconsin and do not know many Her+ Stage 3 girls from Wisconsin. Some of you long term girls have helped me greatly. You make me feel better by posting-thank you. I still do not like to hear not so good news, just positve news. I want this post to be just positive good news and if you could tell me your state that would be great.

Not from your state, but still vertical and grooving!

Thanks for posting and letting me know. I was wondering if anyone was going to respond to me. Hopefully more will respond. It took a lot for me to post. I am usually not a type of person who would do this posting stuff but I want to help others like some of you have helped me. I want to tell others I am doing great in 5, 10, 15, 20 years. It helps me when I am down to read comments from long term survivors. I always look at the year and figure out how long you have been doing great (NED). It gives me hope and peace and happiness that others are doing good. I am almost done with herceptin 3 more to go. I felt it is time to try to help others. Looking for walks to do or something to meet more survivors and maybe even help someone else.

Brandi, you will hear more from others, and so many of us know exactly how you feel. It's so important in the healing process to be able to talk to people who have gone through it. Come here to find peace, community and some humor through it all to!
Peace

Hi Brandi,
Congratulations on almost finisging your Herceptin. That's great. I am an " Oldster" 8 years from a stage IIIC her 2 pos BC.
I did alot of reading in my early days and definitely cleaned up my act regarding my diet. I swear by Flaxseed, low fat, green tea and minimal sugars, exercise and most defintely releasing stress from my life.
My life is sweeter then ever.

Hi Brandi,
I am from Wisconsin too. Just finished my herceptin tx on 6/27/13. I don't know many other HER2+ girls from either. I also don't usually posted on these boards, but thought I would reach out to you and say hi. It's always great to connect with other bc survivors for support and to help each other.

Anyone have necrosis present and long term survivor
-
Hi Karen, Nice to hear from you. Our treatment time was about the same time. I finished my last herceptin July 19th. Yes, it is nice to connect with other BC survivors. It seems that other BC survivors are the only ones who really understand the stuff we experience and go through. I don't have a lot of support so thank you for saying HI.

Ok, I wouldn't call myself long term but I just hit my three year mark! I had numerous tumors, extensive high grade DCIS with necrosis and paget's disease of the nipple. The cancer went to four nodes, one node was 4.5cm and one was 3.5cm. However, my largest tumor was only 1.6cm. The overall size of the area was 7cm. I've not from Wisconsin but I camped there once when I went to Devil's lake! At least I think it was Wisconsin it was a long time ago and I still have chemo brain
....I can tell you that there are many, many, ,many long term survivors who were initally diagnosed with very serious cancers. Don't......lose.....hope!

Hi Brandi,
My dx was very similar to yours and I'm from Bloomer, WI. I'm 8.5 years out from dx now... I was dx when I turned 40. I wish you the very best. I do not visit this site as often now but will try to check in a bit more often. Feel free to private message with questions.
blessings,
Wendy
