I've used Stanley Steemer in the past, not sure thy are still around?
-
How are you doing, Galsal? Long time since we have seen each other. I have been slammed busy and miss regular times seeing you.
I can't think of an upholstery cleaner because I can't remember using one! No doubt, in my smoking days I should have had a good one on speed dial. I will ask someone who I am certain does know, however, and let you know.
-
Please add me to the list. I live in St. Petersburg, and would like to meet up with you next time.
-
Thanks, Ladies. Mary, good...join us next time. MC, miss the Tues eves.
-
galsal - Chem-Dry does upholstery cleaning, here is a link. Google Chem-Dry to find one locally.

Hey everyone,
Happy July 4th tomorrow!!! I'm glad we've had some rain today so I don't have to worry about my back yard catching fire this year from all the fireworks...... Hope everyone is doing well.
-
But I hope it doesn't rain all day tomorrow. We're hoping to swim, or at least hoping the grandkids can swim.
-
Happy 4th! Hope everyone has fun celebrating. Lucky (the rabbit) has his radar ears up!
-
Thanks for the recommendations. Found a veteran-owned small business that is decently rated on Angie's List for half the price of the big companies. At that rate, can afford to get the rug and chair and recliner all cleaned.

Hi Ladies,
The forum has been quiet here for a while. Just checking in and hopinng everyone is well. Galsal, hope your doing better since surgery and all is going as planned. I'm having a busy summer, got a small vacation in to see the grand canyon. Bucket list items, (check). I know others are traveling this summer as well. Just wanted all of you to know I was thinking about you! Miss all of you and we'll have to plan another get together at the end of summer. My guess is we'll be opting for a Cheesecake Fact. outing since most of us just can't even compete with the last 2 private home get togethers we had
They were over the top, fabulous in every way. So thanks again SpecialK and MondaysChild!
Hope everyone is having a great summer!! Ameron
-
Ameron, I was thinking the very same thing yeterday. Missing our BCO pals!
Thanks for asking. I'm recovering very nicely. Surgery was uneventful, thanks be to God! I'll be consulting with a few PS though. Unfortunately, the purpose of this most recent surgery was not fully realized nor completed. Nothing was helped in that the VA scheduled me for a different PS than whom I wanted and planned this with.
I'm being told there was too much skin/flesh to excise smoothly at one time when peformed with the lipo at the side-bra area, that to obtain a smooth incision closure it would extend onto my back. Personally, I find this to be a fair amount of BS since the PS I planned things with had shared with me it was unknown just how far back that would have to go.
yummmmm...cheesecake has now started calling my name!
-
Hope you all are enjoying a nice summer! I am working mega-hours like a crazy person. A couple of weeks ago I was complaining about having my hours cut down to 29.5 (I was an hourly full-time assistant manager). The store manager got canned yesterday, so my first week of running the store I have myself scheduled 63 hours because we are temporarily down to 2 managers from 4.
I'm going to see the Psychedelic Furs Sunday night---really loooking forward to a night out!
-
Too many "o"s, LOL.
-
Good to hear from you, DLL. I took me four reads to find the extra o. My brain is totally shot. Congrats on the promotion.
Galsal, you will get there eventually. It is a looooooooong road. (extra o's!) lI had one extra surgery related to cancer, all the rest recon. Most everyone who has had more than one surgery had the extra surgery for recon related reasons, whether symmetry, failed expanders, or whatever. Sing along: if I knew then what I know now..... But we will walk the path with you.
Ameron is right. This place has been too slow (long hot summer) and we are long overdue. I am always up for my house and will do several if okay with everyone else, but right now it is too hot and rainy. So indoors at Cheesecake Factory is probably a better choice for the next one.
Anyone up for Saturday, August 24th?
-
August 24 is probably fine for me. Which Cheesecake Factory are we talking about?
-
The Cheesecake Factory at International Mall in Tampa which is next to the airport at Westshore and Spruce.
-
Aug 24 is good for me. I've missed seeing you and will have to learn most names again! Looking forward to cheesecake too.
-
Okay, new list started. Ann and I are on it. MaryLW, let me know if I am to add you. Everyone else: Roll call!
-
Monday'sChild, you can add me.
-
Count me in!
-
Count me in too!
-
I am in - barring any surprises!
-
I will try to be there if I can. Thanks for the congrats, MondaysChild!
Saw my PS on Monday & scheduled a tattoo touch-up. Other than that, I am finished. It was a long journey & I don't think I could have done it with anyone else.
-
You did have a long path, DLL. Your surgeon was very good to you and for you. I am happy for that. We all eventually get there on our own journeys, which is good news for those not complete. It can end in a good place. So happy for you and I really hope to see you on the 24th.
-
Count me in too!
-
MondaysChild, I'm sorry, I won't be able to come after all. We're going to NC to see our daughter. I hope I can make it next time!
Mary -
MaryLW, have a wonderful trip and we will look forward to you being able to join us next time.
FLWarrior, glad you can make it.
-
Count me in for the August 24th Cheesecake Factory get together!
Sorry I've been sooo out of touch. It's funny 'cause I think of you often with the best wishes and prayers. I forgot my password. Yeah, great excuse but I remembered how much I liked that password!
So, here I am. I hope everyone has had some great adventures this summer!
I'm in our new home we bought (across the street from where we were renting!) so, I'll host everyone as soon as we're settled in. Our get together here, will be on a much smaller scale than our previous afternoons but, it'll be great to have any and all of you over to break bread.
My next surgery (reconstruction-areoles -nips) will be on the 14th of Aug so I'll be ready to come out and play!!
Lorraine -
congratulations on the new digs Lorraine!
-
Did I hear someone say the magic word? CHEESECAKE!!!
I really miss all of you and am looking forward to the get together. Count me in, and please save another seat for a new bc friend I hope will be coming along with me. I told her what a great group this is and that's no exaggeration.
Catching up reading the posts here, sounds like lots of good news! YAY!!!
