Ear plugs may be a good idea lol. Unless we all fall asleep at the same time ;-)

Speaking for the group .... I would suspect we will get up, shower, breakie and hit the road ... If we leave at 9ish or a tad earlier, what time does that put us in Iowa City?

Christine, want me to pack a heating blanket?

Joanne I agree with that, even if we hit the road and stop for breakie an hour into the trip is good for me.

Everything is packed except my toothbrush

I was wondering if we could get a group rate (play the BC CARD and the GIRL RAN A MARATHON CARD) and get discounted pedicures at the hotel. :-D

Did anyone get that list of names together for Michelle?

PS Joanne and Christine, don't pack shampoo or conditioner unless your partial to your brand. My GF is a hairdresser and I get it dirt cheap. It'll save on some room for packing and counter space in the hotels lol

The list is on my IPad, which I'm bringing with me.

Love how you think about using the C card.....WTH....must be some perks to getting BC....lol

Depends on where you are leaving from around chicago but roughly 4 hrs to the hotel.

Luanne, you work on that discounted pedicure angle. :)

I had asked that Sheila's and ours be close ... I didn't have Mary's confirmation number. Are you and Sheila going to go into Mary's room?

I'm still not sure if I should keep my room or not. My energy level still really sucks and I may need to (gasp) nap. Maybe we can still consolidate once we're there? My room is reserved for Wed. to Sunday. Anyone else still staying Saturday night?

I spent yesterday afternoon at Urgent Care with DD Greer. The doctor thinks she has mono......hmmmmm. At age 50 he thought I would have had it by now but it makes me wonder a little. That would just be the icing on the cake, lol!

I'm packing today. I can't wait to see you all!!😎

Sheila, we are staying to Sunday. The rooms have a separate bedroom area. If you want, if it is ok with Mary, give up your room, stay with her and Aimee from Wednesday until Saturday and Saturday night stay with us (Scottiee, shianne and me). Like I said there is a separate bedroom area so it is easier to lie down and not be disturbed.

I am going to leave Omaha about 5 pm and it's approx a 4 - 4.5 hours drive. I'll contact the front desk and let them know you will be arriving and could check in before I get there.

Unfortunately, it's like bud lite, cheap wine and cafeteria food.  The breakfasts are pretty good though.

The pool sounds great. Supposed to be hot all week. I hope Michele has a great cooling team. In Chicago we should find a dicks sports and get some cooling towels

Mary did you check to see if your room could be upgraded to a two bedroom even if we could just pay cash for the difference? Sheila when you check in make sure they put us by Joannes and Micheles rooms if possible.

Sounds like it might get warm next week. Maybe we should bring squirt guns to cool the team off as they run by :).

So if you gals are sticking around until Sunday is there any interest in coming up to my place Saturday for pool and Bbq party. Just need to know if I should stock up on supplies.

We are just 35 min northwest just up interstate 380 then west on Hwy 30. Very easy drive.

It might beat fighting a bunch of kids for the pool at the hotel. Just dont expect my house to be totally clean and un cluttered. It looks lived in :)

According to the diamond desk and the hotel, there are no two bedroom suites available; however, I am on the upgrade list if one does become available. I'll take the sofa/sofabed.  I'm used to tent camping (hard, lumpy ground) and sleep on the sofa bed with Ezra when he is here for the weekend.  Laughing

Wow i cannot do tent camping anymore, i wake up with half my body asleep and my back a mess because of those lumps and bumps. We have moved up to a travel trailer, no more roughing it to enjoy the great outdoors.

I just talked to a neighbor and she is very familiar with the area where we are staying so I asked her to give me a list of restaurants she would recommend. She said she would even like to give us a bottle of wine or two to share because she had an aunt that passed from BC and thinks our get together is so neat. I have cool neighbors.
