I'm 27 and was diagnosed at 26. I live in SI but work in NYC. I found a great monthly support group for premenopausal women in NYC. The women were in their 20's through late 30's. It's called Young Survival Coalition f2f network. Google it. So happy I went. I hadn't felt that normal nor had anyone to relate to in a very long time.

EricaB and DaniellaBella, I'm 34 and in NYC. Thanks for starting the thread. I'm about to start my chemo next week, where are you in terms of treatment phases?

hi daniellabella - congratulations on finding a great group! IM SO JEALOUS!!!! ive been trying like crazy and i havent had any luck at all. im in between the age brackets and im about to give up trying to find where the girls like me are hiding. its been 8 months going it alone and the depression is setting in from the loneliness... not having any peers is killing me

my stats: im 47, i dont have a husband, i have no kids, and i have no pets! on what few boards i can find for my age i find myself reading about kids and teenage daughters and husbands and cats having kittens and i find myself feeling even more isolated and frankly, screwed. i live in NY. i have a 28 year old boyfriend who has pretty much had it with my brush with death. i'm a creative exec in fashion which means everyone i know is under 30. which would be fine, but if i've learned anything this year it's that it really doesnt matter how long you can look great in hot pants and a crop top, inside we are all the age we are. plus a million other age-sensitive things that compound my situation, like aging parents who need me and can't offer me any support at all. you get the idea.

does anyone have any ideas about how to find the right support group? i need bald friends!
