Thinking Out Loud.....

Tamoxifen steals energy and strength, at least from me.

wishing you lots of wonderful MH, Sheila. DDs are beautiful!
DD is 19 and she knows she is under my thumb. I've tried to make it clear how expensive it is to live and that I will NOT fund irresponsible behavior(not that I expect bad behavior, but just in case she started to get ideas...). Though she did get a 3rd piercing of her ear without telling me she was going to do it - sneaking behind my back - like i wouldn't find out (eventually - truth be told, I didn't notice at first)
She's an adult, but realistically, the only freedom she really has is to leave- which she can't do 'cause she has no money... (like me - lol)
(((((TOL)))))

Supermoon tonight......make sure you look at it
-
My sons legal at 18??? Legal for what? lol
The moon is awesome. I was out looking at it a 3 deer walked in the yard. Love them.
DH is at Jimmy Buffet and I'm jealous!!
-
Can't see it damn it.....
-
Ducky, look south and high in the sky...if you are still up. I was driving when the moon rose tonight...huge and misty, so beautiful! I never get tired of looking at the sky.
Sheila, the girls are beautiful! you must be so happy to have them near.
Chris, we learn to pick our battles...I sneaked my pierced ears at 17... mom got used to it. I always find out the latest in the summer...my grandson had a dreadful tattoo of Army of Darkness chainsaw arm guy...he told me he was covering it up. I was so happy...until short sleeves happened....he covered it with a new grotesque huge fish....but he lives on his own and supports himself so...not my problem!
So...Granny, we are planning...oops I forgot to post the pics....maybe this week!
Meece, I am so clueless about FB. I never know what I'll see or who...and can't control it....I don't go there too often. But I should learn...
Is Diane traveling this week?
Linda, I had a deer at dusk & full moon...great night for concert...I'd be jealous too!
-
Joan, first clouds, then finally clear.....by that time the moon was visible, but normal size....however, very bright and shiny. Oh well, maybe next year, ( if I'm still around).....,,.I don't even buy "green bananas anymore".....lol
-
Joan, I'm with you. I rarely go to FB because someone will say something about pics and I go there. Spend time searching through their site and still can't find them. I feel like I'm stalking.

Speaking of tattoos I have one so when my kids and grands got them I really couldn't say much..my GS got the ugliest tattoo across his entire chest of the Brooklyn bridge..
And the rebel that I am I got my ears pierced when I was 10..didnt even tell my mom.those days they ded it with a machine and put this thread in for a week...I thought my mom would have a heart attack...you see my dad died when I was 8 and I really was a rebels as a rebel...damn I'm still one.
Huggs everyone
Grannydukes -
I'm afraid of permanent things - I want to be able to change things if I don't like them or get tired of them...so tattoos aren't for me.
I think we can still see the Super Full Moon tonight...
-
I have 4 tattoos and want 4 more, can't wait til I get another one....wasn't until my 40's I think til I got one...will be 60 in 6 weeks, omg how did I get that old.
Shiela so happy that the wedding is almost here and you will be your children again....on your turf...can't wait to see the dress among other things.
Chris unfortunately kids have minds of their own and we can only teach them what we think they need to know to be able to grow up and be productive adults...in the mean time we lose our minds as they grow....for me the older they are the worse it is, lack of control....and I am not a controlling person....you are a good mom!!!
Hey Joan HUGS!!!!
Ducky didn't even pay attention to the moon....
Linda....did he say how the concert was?
Me doing ok after the 3rd week of chemo, expect to feel somewhat normal by wednesday for my off week and then I can get things some maybe accomplished...tried to get hours at macy's and nothing there, texted my boss....
Meece and Diane, how r u?

Somehow I managed to think moonrise was at 7:30, so I dragged my family up the street where I have seen the big moons on the horizon in the past when I've been out for a run. No moon - too early. so DH and DS walked to Subway to get DS dinner and then they had ice cream, while DD and I went jogging around looking in various places for good views of the horizon so we might see the super moon. We went down to the river - no moon. we went to the quarry - no moon - but lots of mosquitoes. We went back to a road where there is a nice glimpse of the horizon and there it was - with clouds across it. ugh. So we cut through the high school and went home and as we walked up our driveway - there it was in a space between the trees without as much cloud cover. It wasn't quite as impressive as it would have been closer to the horizon, but it was impressive. So we got some exercise and saw the moon.

I have 2 tattoos, from m radiation. lol. I would love to get some but am a wimp. DH has several. i think it;s his mid life crisis. He had on his arms, one life, one love, Cameron and Cory over his heart, Bruins logo, red sox logo and a rose for me.
Concert was awesome Sandy. It was Buffet!! ♥
Moon is awesome Chris, go look at it now!
-
I joke that I have six tattoos, all from rads. I tell people I have a heart, a butterfly, A dragonfly, a cross, rose and a ribbon, all done in micro-tattoo style.

Went for a bike ride with DS. You know how they say, "It's just like riding a bike?" Well, riding a bike isn't just like riding a bike. I just cannot ride the way I used to... I don't think I could stand up and ride - like up a hill - I would fall over. I don't know if it's just because I'm fat and out of shape or the seat isn't the right height or the handle bars are straight or the tires are knobby...or I'm just plain too old. (not to mention the 24 gears - really, do I LOOK like I need 24 gears?!!!) I rode anyway hoping I wouldnt hit a funny bump and wipe out or something. We went down to the "meadows" where there are gravel roads - which presented their own challenges with some parts with thick gravel and others with pot holes - but at least i wasn't going to get hit by a car!
So I was glad to get out with DS (and get him away from his video games and get him some exercise. )
We stopped at Subway for lunch on our way home. I refilled my soda and then poured it into my Poland Spring water bottle I had recycled from the day before. When I got home, I went to open it to drink some and the cap popped off and ricocheted off my eyebrow and then off the ceiling I think and ended up who knows where... I'm lucky it didn't hit me in the eye. I should have known better - I wondered when I poured it into the bottle if the gases would build up from my riding...It wasn't fizzy, so I wasn't expecting a problem.
It's all fun and games 'til someone loses an eye... I wonder if I will have a bruise to explain at work tomorrow...
-
Meece..I forgot about those 6 tats I got for the rads but when I told my GS he said come on Grannydukes lets get one together..yeah right!!!!
-
yep have those tatts too Linda!!
-
I wish I could say I had pretty tatts in micro-style, but 2 of my 3 are bigger than they should be - you can tell it is nothing but a blotch of ink - looks like a blue pen mark. I had 2 people working on me - a guy and a girl. The guy did 2 of them and they are bigger than they should be. The one the girl did was smaller...the way it should be... Actually, they should figure something else out besides permanent tattoos- we should not have to have this crap on our bodies in addition to everything else forever. Stupid pen mark smack in the middle of my chest...duh.
DD started her repeat chem class today...any and all prayers that she does well this time will be most appreciated. Poor kid is stressed out (not that she does herself any favors... I had to TELL her that if her homework is to be done online and is due tomorrow that she should make sure she has access to what she needs online before the IT people go home for the day...duh!!!!! Help!)
Added DS to ins policy - omg - so expensive. DD will be on campus in August, so we can save some money there - they can drop her coverage to a different coverage amount considering she won't be driving 1/2 the year - BUT when they ask for documentation to keep the good student discount...uh...guess we'll be losing that... Life is too expensive. They need to create a "good kid" discount for kids who struggle in school, but are still responsible kids...
I had the weekend off and today and I don't have to go in until 4 tomorrow - so it was like I had a 4-day weekend - boy did I need it. I hope the next 5 days go as well as or better than last week. It wasn't as bad last week - I find myself being thankful for each individual nice customer we have.
((((((TOL))))))
-
Actually if I went looking for my tats, I think 2-3 of them went bye-bye during my two recons. The one in the middle of my breast bone is still visable even without holding up a mirrior.
-
Actually I forgot about them..I never see them or look for them.
If you didnt mention it i would have only thought of my tat that I have on my shoulder.
And no one ever sees it anymore.ha. -
I hate the one between my boobs. You can see it when I wear a bathing suit or a V neck. Looks like I have a blacjhead
11 teenagers here today. Yuvk, I'm tired.
Bruins lost
-
Poor Linda! For the loss...and the gain of nine teenagers.
-
(((Sheila))) Hope your day is happy.
(((Sandy))) Here's to feeling better for your week off. Hope you get hours...
(((TOL))) Hope everyone is going to enjoy a beautiful summer day (even though the Bruins lost)...
My tattoos wouldn't really be noticeable in a bathing suit i don't think...they are perfect tiny dots smaller than a pencil point. My scar shows at times, but it is barely noticeable. Thing is, I am not supposed to get sun on any of those places, so they are mostly covered.
Chris, I know it isn't funny but the way you told your exploding bottle story made me smile...and I hate biking on gravel ever! Everything I do now, walking, stairs, getting in/out of cars, I have to concentrate so I don't trip and fall or something. When I was in grad school (in my 50s) I tripped on a bad sidewalk once and fell flat...everyone around me just kept walking. I was kind of glad.
Chris, what kind of quarry do you have nearby? A geologist wants to know - I collect rocks and sand.
Granny, you rebel! You should get one of those cutaway shoulder tops to reveal your tattoo.
I went for a ride along the ocean road Sunday PM after a very stressful day...the supermoon arose for the 2nd night and we stopped and i got a photo...will try to link it later.
Diane, hope all is well! -
Sorry about the Bruins, Linda.
Hope you are feeling good, Sandy and can get some hours...
Work called and asked if I could come in earlier...
I wish I could figure out why I can't deal with anything.
(((((TOL)))))
-
Nope looked again no hours....
hope to feel "normal" tomorrow....usually it is tuesday or wednesday that I feel well and then get it again, so tomorrow is the day I hope, thanks for caring...
Chris it is a good thing they are calling you AND you are getting out of the house, I am jealous, with no car working yet and no hours at Macy's I have been in the house since saturday!!!
-
Having troublw with this site!!! GRRRR! I can only see Sandys comments. I hope you are feeling better Sandy!
