I am on the ledge a little.

I had tumor markers drawn. my CA 15 rose from 20 in dec to 34 . high is over 30. its just 4 points over. other markers fine.

I had septoplasty like week before draw and phase 2 recon like 2 months before draw. and has some sinus drainage-allergies

I'm calling my doc that ordered these today. I think its elevated due to surgery. I am just little worried about this. Its probably nothing. this is way my normal MO doesn't want me to have these tests. hate it when he is right.

Hoping it's just all the inflamation. Tests are always a love-hate thing.

Fredntan, my onc wouldn't even draw my markers until I'd been a month post-op from my DIEP. The inflammation and trauma of surgery throws everything off. I know how our cancer-radio tunes in with stuff like this, but please don't let yourself become too concerned. I'd bet my next paycheck that you're fine.

Fran My Onco will not even draw blood for tumor markers she says they are to unreliable. So DON'T panic stay clam you are just fine. I will keep you in my prayers

Fredntan...I have read on these boards the scare of TM going up and down. Seems like this can happen easily...praying the next blood work shows all is well and back to normal!!
