Thank you all for coming to my house. I loved having you all there and hope we can do it again.  Just take the leftovers next time! (Ameron, I was thinking of you specifically when I was putting away the black bean soup and wished you had taken it with you.)

We really do have a good time with each other.  It is amazing how cohesive we have become.

Meant to ask while there yesterday - what thoughts do you have about the concept of if one is on an AI and has little harsh or many side effects that it's working as it should overall, compared to the opposite.

This is merely my curiousity about opinions.

Ha!  Mondays Child, about dinner time I was wishing I would have taken some left overs as well! :)  I did forget to get the recipe for the BB soup as well!  I'm sure we ALL want that recipe :)

galsal - not having SE is not necessarily a measure of whether or not the AI is working, having SE is just a more outward sign that it is.  Kind of like some women going through menopause naturally with no hot flashes, or other symptoms.  They are no less menopausal than someone with hot flashes, we all just experience it differently.  Does that make sense?

Arimidex must be working for me, because I've about reached my "I can handle these SE's" limit.   I'm seeing my onc soon and and I'm going to ask if I can take a break then maybe try one of the other AI's.  If I seemed a little spacey or distracted yesterday, I apologize, my pain level was up there and I didn't want to take anything and be driving.

Anyone else get caught in all that rain?  Looks like this afternoon will be a repeat.

Ameron, the recipe is in the Tampa Treasures cookbook. It is the recipe from Valencia Gardens Restaurant that used to be on Kennedy Blvd.

Lee7, I hope you feel better today.  You did not seem spacy to me yesterday.  It was quite a downpour later in the day!

    Lee7,

We're here for you. Arimidex has awful SE's. I'm just sorry you were in pain yesterday.....I use to complain about my bone and joint pain but my onco wouldn't give me any "pain meds" she said there's no way the pain could be that bad!! I'm glad she knows that..........and can determine MY level of pain at night......

You weren't spacey at all, those other ladies were but not you, lol

It was very, very nice---& a huge relief that he made it through HS! It was @ the USF Sun Dome, which was a really nice venue for the ceremony. Plenty of seating for extended family too.

dll - my DD's HS grad and recent USF grad were held at the Sun Dome - I agree it is really nice and having the jumbotron for the USF ceremony was nice so we could see her!  Glad you had a good time, and congrats to you and to him!

    Thanks, SpecialK!

Hope that everyone is riding the storm out without any issues or storm damage. It hasn't been bad up in my area.

I am going back to work today...had the fat injection procedure done on Tuesday. I am not as sore as I was expecting to be. Smile

dll - so far, so good!  Hope everyone else is doing OK, and that MondaysChild stays dry!  Glad your fat-graft is not too bad - I found it to be one of my easier surgeries.

High and dry for me!  As usual, several blocks up the street all the way to the Davis Islands bridges is flooded.  That area is old creek bed. You cannot tell it driving down the road, but it is significantly lower than the rest of the street.

Just checkin' in to see how all of the Tampa girls are doing. Anyone have fun plans this weekend?

I am looking forward to swimming again now that I am healed enough to do so.

dll - was looking forward to a quiet weekend - DH and DD were both headed to S. Carolina today (in-laws house), with DD continuing tomorrow on to Virginia to help her boyfriend pack up his household prior to deployment.  DH was traveling with his brother, DD in her truck.  An hour up the road she finds out the boyfriend flew to Tampa last night!  She had to turn around and come back and was mad as a wet hen.  He knew she was getting ready to drive up but I guess he thought this would be a fun surprise - NOT!!! So my quiet weekend is not happening!

Holy sh*t!  Talk about screwing up plans.  In-laws, yours, DH, DD...where does it stop?

Yikes, SpecialK! And I'll bet the BF doesn't understand why she is so mad, either! Sorry you won't have a nice, quiet weekend.

Yes, he is/was clueless.  Adding on is that while she was initially mad, but still thinking they would drive back up on Tuesday, he booked his return flight to VA, so now she has the time off from the aquarium and work and it does not look like she is going at all!  She is not a happy camper.  It is totally ridiculous.  It is like they live on two different planets and speak two different languages.  I give up.....

    SpecialK,

They write soap operas with stories like these! I hope all is patched up between the two and that you'll have another chance for that quiet night again.

    Hope all is well everybody!!

Any recommendations for a good upholstery cleaner?  Have a Lazy Boy that needs it.  Thanks
