Beautiful birdies. Fine-looking squirrel there, too. I had a cute bird perch atop the feeder hanger outside my window today. I watched him/her for a long time.
It didn't rain today. The weather said it would rain today but not tomorrow, so I planned to cut the grass tomorrow. It better not rain tomorrow. . . . Oh, I feel bad writing that, with those terrible tornadoes in Oklahoma. I saw video of one of the tornadoes. It was a big and angry thing.

THats a good one GMA
Veggy - lets hope no news IS good news then but it is NOT fair on you, still in your pocket and will be til you get some news......then I hope I´ll jump out for a while

Good Morning world - this picture explains my brain this morning -
"In the fog"
-
Veggy, it is already TUESDAY - do you have your results yet? I have been reading not really contributing anything anywhere because of LE and my hand is so bandaged up I can't do much of anything except watch TV - good thing I have lots of funny videos! But I just couldn't NOT let you know you have been in my prayers this week and wishing I could give you a big hug!
Greetings to the rest of you crazy ladies, and I SO appreciate the daily photos. I am reminded of a home we had in Vermont with a beautiful view of the mountains. I miss it. Then again, I have to remember so many of the frustrations that went with that house so I don't get too sad over it! -
I have heard very little. My liver stopped lighting up, everything else looked good except the left side where I have an open wound. Pet scans cant tell the difference from an infection from cancer so both will light up.
The plastic surgeon was pleased with how the open wound, failed skin from a TE, is healing. He so much wants to close it up but knows the chemo will prevent it from healing. I need a chemo vacation so he can do it. He said I look really good, better than the last time I was in.
Thanks Lily and Linda. You both are so sweet. I love my cyber hugs. Tomorrow I'll find out the rest of the story.
Hugs

Thinking of you veggy...HUGS xx
-
Veggy - My thoughts/prayers are with you. So all in all news is good???
-
*****CYBERHugs**** Veggy - I want in on that group HUG!!! Still praying all will heal up....
-
So far - good news.
Thanks Kaza and Luvmygoats. Luvmygoats I hope you are safe there in Texas. Those storms are dangerous.
Hugs

Thanks Veggy. I am NW of Ft. Worth about 1.5 hours south of OK border. Storms are building NW. I do have a tornado shelter and DH is off today. His dentist office messed up his appt. and not going into FW today. Yeah. I have 3 radars up and running. As prepared as I can be with my bags of essentials packed - meds, phone charger, radio, etc. We would like to move out of here but house paid off and what little family I have is here in metro area. I'm not a native Texan but mom/dad were and rest of family was. Raised in the SW and Texas. I hate spring in Texas along with summer. Give me fall and winter.
-
GOATS, I hope the tornados pass you by, get thee to a great hotel.
FOLEY, LOVE them colorful finches! Our squirrels are more furry and brown.
VEGGY, Thank you so much for the good news. I think your doc will continue on,and the fact that the open area is closing up better is extremely positive for it not being cancer, becuz if it were, it would be exploding out of there. So,you're good to go.
LIL, go ahead and get your boobs back. If they ain't perfect, put some little unfurling leaves and a few pretty flowers to cover any wierdness left over. A woman to do your surgery is better, but then again, I had three very serious cancers in one boob, and it was a man who saved my life quite literally. No more feel bad. Look forward to what you get. And start checking out tattoo people and ask for boob porfolios! Always, GG
-
You are so right GG. If it was cancer in that hole in my chest it would be busting out. I didn't think of that. My friend who died had it coming out and I remember what it looked like now. My hole doesn't look like that. That makes sense. Thank you. I could squeeze you!!!!!
-
Yeah for GG's brilliant answer for Veggy.
-
I call this, "Good morning Mamma" She has about a month to go - its her first.
-
Veggy, I'm so glad you are getting good news girl! It made me smile when I read your reply to Gail's comment about the open area closing up. I'm glad it made you feel better.
Esther, I love that fog picture. I love momma dear too, but that picture of mountains and fog is amazing.
My foob is bothering me. I guess the LE is acting up and I should do some MLD. My nerves are screwed up too. I have three fever blisters trying to bust out on my lips. I'm just a mess. Oh well. This too shall pass.

GAP not good for me due to higher risk of failure from tiny veins....
Has anyone else had reduction on remaining breast?
Were there any complications?
How long did it take you to recover from this?!
Is there a risk of stirring up cancer on "healthy" breast?
Recommendation for me is BRAVA with reduction on remaining breast......this is cheaper than other options and i had a very good feeling about this surgeon but its a lot to take in...i am shaky and upset that i will never get my body back and will have scars on both sides......but i dont want to stay as i am
All advice and shared experiences welcome - i am going to get other opinions but this ps really put in to words what i think re options......and since posting this on recon thread, I still feel upset deep down as it sseems a no win situation especially as the cost has to be paid by me in full!!! -
FOLEY, gorgeous picture.
LILY, dear one, I HAVE heard of the Brava technique, would be the least invasive. I think if this whole thing is bothering you enought o consider these things, go ahead. Get your booby back. And if for some reason it's not exactly right, remember tattoo people can put a lovely rhododendron or tendrils of May grasses with tiny blue flowers somewhere on it, to completely "hide" any oddness to it that may worry yourself (after you've healed, of course). It takes a couple years for a scar to settle in.
I feel for you, girl. I am extremely annoyed at mine, for I chose no reconstrution because I'm older and don't care anymore, but gosh, it looks like some kid took a wad of my skin and jammed it into my armpit. SIGH. Eventually I'll get a plastic surgeon to smooth it out, but first I gots to lose some weight. And even then, I may go with the tattoo routine. Have you seen the pictures from "The Scar Project," which is precisely how you find it online. GG

FOLEY, I know I'll never do it, but I'd love to take your pic, crop it a little, and photoshop in a man on horseback kind of towards the left just below the fog so you could see his head and his horse's head silhouetted against the lighter part. It looks SO WESTERN. I've been to Southern California (nice weather), but never up in the northwest. We in western NC also have lots of mountains, sometimes fog, but our mist is more split up and spiraly, like smoke, hence Smokey Mountains. Are you far from the ocean? We're about four hours drive, almost a straight shot to Charleston SC, my dream vacation place, Richard and I even have a fav room in our fav hotel in the historic section, and it's just minutes from the islands and beaches.
FOLEY, I think you express yourself with your pictures like I do with words. Some days I can write the words and music and sing it all simultaneously, I kind of like that nightclub blues, easy and smooth, just a little guitar and such in the background. OH, I just feel like I've got to get some weight off, wear some unique clothes (I collect stuff, but some things are way too small right now), and soon my hair will be long enough to get a nice cut to it, so it will lay just right without a lot of work, and yet still be long, and put GOBS of this new purple sparkle eye shadow all around my eyes, and a bright pink lipstick... and... gloves? I already sport a GLASS bracelet, it's rows and rows of cut sparkling glass, glows kind of maroon, only cost me $3.99. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT? I'm all the way up into my sixties, but gee whiz, I used to be a hippie flower type child, and WHY CAN'T I dress up and still be pretty? Mostly I prefer pajamas for my day wear. Hahahahaahah.
oH, WELL, I got off key for a second. I jus likes to taqlk about happy stuff sometimes. I've cried at least three times today, and I'm talking big gulping sobs, and one was about one of our dogs we lost when I was in cancer treatment. It's like all this emotion is suddenly rushing out of me. Well, that's okay. Soon enough I'll be walking my property with my dog (I DID go out on Memorial Day and pick some flowers with the dog). Oh, he was rolling in the tall grass, and then I fell down, and I couldn't see Smokey. So, I called him an called him, "Smoke,Smoke, come!" And suddenly he lifted his had up above the grass and he was just a few yards from me, so I got him over there where I was, and he stood still for me, and I just used him to get up. I am IN LOVE with that dog. He's a fine dog. He's helped me get off the couch before,so he knew what to do. Well, I'll shut up now. Love TO ALL SISTERS EVERYWHERE, it's a'gonna be alright, you'll see! GG

This is the horse picture I use on my Facebook page, except I managed to delete almost the whole thing the other day. Oh, well, I'll fix it one of these days. Anyhow, this was my banner where my picture was:
-
Thanks Dogeyed - Here is the morning birds from yesterday - they start chirping outside my office window about 4:30am - not one of my greatest pictures but their is a view of something else than just the birds and birdfeeders.
And here is a clearer picture of some of the other birds chirping this morning.
-
FOLEY, what is that orange bird with some white patches on his wings and the long beak? My husband has some feeders outside our big window here where the computer is, and I am fortunate to hear the budgies flutter and chirp as the sun rises. We live in a cove, lots of trees, ridges bearing down, winds just zoom through here, so unless I am in a position to see the sky, then early mornings I have no earthly idea that the world has awakened. GG
P.S. I had some lymphedema pile up in one of my arms, so I worked on it for a few days until the dang thing hurt, and I DID notice pain in my shoulder blade! So, I cannot help but think it's part of the whole breast operation thing, somehow the lymph gets jammed up. And later, I asked husband to just kind of massage my uppper arm and shoulder and blade, and exactly where the arm, clavicle, collar bone meet, a little indentation right there, some how released the lymph. Well, also could be I just needed some rejuvination in the whole area, and do you know I felt really warm all of a sudden! It's still kind of bunchy-looking in the upper arm part
-
The orange bird is a Grossbeak - Oh you see the feeder stand not the beak LOL - He has a stubby beak. Look at the orange bird on the right - same beak.
You are lucky to have a DH massage for you. Mine has such a hard touch - he refuses to even try. He seems to flare it instead of help it.
Lets see if I can find a picture to relax us for today....

Thanks, FOLEY, I feel like a dultz for not seeing that beak correctly, but you know, I did take a doubletake to make sure... Now, as for training thy husband how to massage, this is only for women who are willing and often talk back to their men. He's a sweet soul and I try hard, but sometimes... Anyhow, you would think a man who is truly a fine artist, just gentle flowing hands, could work like a meat cleaver on me. OHHHH, it seems even now he always grabs that collar bone like it's part of the muscle. Anyhooo, since I have a bad back, always have, I always have to have someone rub it out or pay to have it masssaged, which in my household it's split sort of evenly. But husband will do in a pinch. I just scream when he hits the wrong spot, hahahaha, and tell him the scientific name of the bone he just tore off me, and then tell him where the meat of the thing is. I don't know how he did that shoulder thing the other day, but it's like he became curious about how all those bones came together in one place. I forgot to mention it was kind of towards the back of my upper arm. I could get addicted to that heat rush I got, tho. And this morning, my upper bunched part of my arm is much subdued. But yup, ya gotta 'splain to the men how to go about doing some things without creating a crisis.
FOLEY, I know it looks like we're the only ones holding up this thread, but the others usually come in on the weekends. We don't have children, so not a lot going on around here. But we love our dogs. Do you have dog? I just know you've mentioned it before, but I cannot remember. And is Esther your given name? I'll come up with a nickname, perhaps. Its a Southern tradition to nickname people. Thanks for writing back and bless you, child. What shall you name the new little fawn? Will he be a June baby? Always, and always to all my sisters, I am grateful for you all, Gail
-
She will probably drop the twins within the next week. and all the fawns are named baby LOL... or maybe tidbit.. I do have a dog, she is a 12 year old whippet and chinese crested. She had liver failure about 3 months before I found my cancer. The vet brought her through it and then my cancer. She has been my best buddy through the last 2 years. I got to go to the docs so will check in later. Luvs and hugs - oh and here is a picture of my doggy.

Our deer are starting to birth their fawns this week. Saw a little wobbly yesterday morning that was so new it was still wet! Sooo Cute.
