Thinking Out Loud.....

I don't know, I've been cut off
Long court battle, they moved away from here in Jan and I haven't heard from them. Unfriended me and most of the family. So sad. May 26 will be a year. I miss her andd her kids.
-
wow Linda it has been a year....that went fast....they unfriended you what is that about, so sorry....
ice cream cone coming soon, along with Oscar the Cat book and the nursing home...
Meeting at school for Andrew he needs an IEP....
chemo wednesday then my week off....already scheduled to work on the 1st...there is a party but I want to get at least 4 hours a month in...it is only 25.00 but I love it...
Diane, Joan, Foots, Linda, Shiela, Val, Meece and Chris....I treasure you and your friendship....
Have a good night....ice cream is calling!!
-
LInda - that is horrible. Sometimes families just don't make sense - why would anyone would her kids to unfriend you, her bff. So silly. Glad you can get updates from her stepson though.
Sheila - cold but humid so AC is on? Sounds like a hormonal thing.
-
Diane....NO AC is not on......but im all sticky
i'm fine with dry heat but humidity really makes me very uncomfortable
I went into menapause very comfortably...no hot flushes nothing
Linda....I should shut up but why they unfriended you.......Just TOL
Sandy...i feel the same way our friendship
Now we all sing......It was a very boring and lazy day
-
LONG STORY, they unfriended their grandfather, aunts, uncles, etc. They were with her sis my other BFF and another family, very wealthy took them to court for sutody. Log story short, they won, took the kids and now the family knows nothing. So sad.
Good night my friends.
Enjoy the kinda cool weather. Open those windows.
-
I'm using this for my tea....
Can it be used for coffee?
-
A court battle - that's so terrible. I'm so sorry all that happened. I hope they can get back in touch with everyone they want to soon! Are they close to being adults or are they still very young? ((((((Linda))))))
Glad you got to have ice cream, Sandy!
I did not go for my "run." I figured I can go in 12 hrs when I'm hoping it's not raining... I sinned all weekend. I ate SO much this weekend... I will try to eat just the minimum tomorrow... If I still feel the way I do right now, it shouldn't be difficult not to eat... (And I might be bloated -pms (tmi)) I did have a couple margaritas last night and thought of you, Linda
-
Oh, yummy, yummy, yummy .....
margaritas .........
Can't go back & look, but whoever said, "Dimwit" on the previous page - haven't heard that in a while. Someone said "nincompoop" the other day on FB. These words are so much more fun to hear or say for that matter than some of the filth that comes out of some people these days. JMHO of course.
Linda, that is so very sad that your BFF's kids have broken off from their family. I also hope they find their way back in the very near future. Sorry for your loss again......... hard to lose someone so special in our life... I had never met stillverticle (Melissa) physically but I miss her every day....
I usually keep my family names away from here, but seeing "Denny's" mentioned several times, I have to share that that is my DH's name. Sandy, I thought you were coming to my house for breakfast - ha, ha - just kidding. I knew what/where you meant. We have one in my hometown but I have never eaten there. I'd rather have ice cream anyway. Yes, I have had it for breakfast before. I must add that was when I was pregnant & was on a fishing trip in Canada. We'd taken our wet sleeping bags & clothes in to town to the dry cleaners & stopped at an ice cream parlor. YUM!
I hope ((Deb)) is doing okay. She is going through so much...
Hugs to all

Hi TOL
Sheila, I love agave in anything, but only a small amount. Just switched to Stevia in my coffee and it has to be exactly 5 drops in my to go cup. One more drop and it tastes awful.
Linda, glad you got the ideal card set up arranged. I remember when I had my first checking account. I used to balance it every day...I was obsessed with keeping track of everything. I don't understand my kids...they just used the card or wrote checks until the bank wouldn't honor them.
So, I am visiting DS and having a great time...I have to put in my grades tonight so I am glad I have internet. My summer course was canceled with not enough people...I do not get paid in the summer . I am trying to convince myself that it's OK to stay home and fix up the house; but it isn't working. My DD did not rent a beach house this summer so that means my dear grandaughters will be in NJ instead of at the beach with me.
Worse, DD told me she is interviewing for a job in Quincy MA. I can't think about it...right now they are 2 hours away; if they move, then it's 4-4.5 hours with the ferry ride. I don't like big changes...
Sandy, darn, it's those little things that make each day special...sorry you missed Denny's...I hope good things happen for you this week. I think it's awesome that you get to work on your week off and that they are accommodating your shedule.
Val, glad you popped in.
Chris, your washer sounds just like mine...only it is DH who throws it all in together and stuffs it so full there's little room for water. i have to hide the white stuff from him.
Gotta stop TOL...nite all -
The oldest just turned 16, then theres a 12 and 10 year old.
Glad you thought of me Chris.
I love those works too, Val, reminds me of my childhood.
Joan, Quincy is beautiful! Rigt on the water!!
-
Linda, that is so sad about your BFF's children. When you say "they" unfriended you, do you think that the kids were forced to unfriend you?
Val, I remember when I was in high school my brother occasionally referred to one of his friends as a dipstick. Once day my mother asked about "skinny dip" After we recouperated from a fit of laughter we decided that Skiny dip was an appropriate name for him when the occasion warranted it.
The dinner Saturday night was another success. DH decided he would stay in the kitchen and "help" me all day cooking. He commented that he didn't know how I did the last dinner by myself. I don't know how I did this one with him in the kitchen. Nothing's more fun than when your help makes the decisions as to with what things he will help. NOT!!
-
I don't know how you do it either, Meece - good thing I'm 3000 miles away and can't try to help too!
My mother used to use the word dipstick. I think she used to call me a dipstick. lol
DD's wet laundry is still in the basket I put it in after I took it out of the washer. I told her about it - she didn't take care of it. I want to smack her upside the head. (A Gibbs slap - for any NCIS fans...)
Hope you got your grades in, Joan. And I hope you didn't take offense at my expression of my dissatisfaction with DD's professors... They make me SO mad! DD doesn't do herself any favors, but she is trying - she just really has a ways to go to figure out what she is missing when it comes to studying.
Sky is starting to clear - guess I'd better get out for that "run" I said I'd take...
-
Yes Meece, they were forced to do it. Can't call them either, numbers have been changed. sad.
GLad your dinner was a success!! Sorry about the help. lol
Good to hear sky is clearing. DH left for NYC this morning at 530, and is still in the air. It's a 45 minute flight! Apparently so much fog they have to circle. He is NOT going to be in a good mood!
-
Linda...sun is out and very humid
Meece....i was thinking maybe you can start your own catering business......you're a very talented woman
Chris.....Are you running today/
i have to drink lots of water today ...1 day eating didn't agree well
Yogurt for breakfast and lunch and some meat with salad for dinner........
Joan...Children moving far away it's a challenging situation...i can relate to you
Yes I miss them but at the same time i'm happy that my DD found a nice man
I guess it's complicated
Call me if you want to talk...
(((TOL)))♥
(((DEB))) ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
-
Went for my "run." It was hot for me. I walked the last bit. Sadly, I run so slowly, it took me only one minute longer to walk the last bit than if I had "run" it.
Hope you feel better soon, Sheila. I'm still recovering from all my eating too.
I don't want to think about when my kids move out/away...
((((((TOL)))))
-
you guys have been busy...
Linda, the kids are older when they can bet they would seek you out, you are a strong connection with you...they will regret the decisions they have made...
sitting home doing nothing after going out to macys to pick something up that I left there and to the giant to get hamburger rolls.....had a meeting for andrew with jamie at the schoo....
Deb thinking of you!!!
BBL
-
Hot and humid, I can't believe you ran in this!
-
I need to ask the children to come and put the AC in the window
Usually that was never done before mid June
Cancelled my Dentist appointment to Wednesday they are close tomorrow......
-
I hope they are going to help Andrew. I know no one would help my kids... and you can see the results- poor DD is having so much trouble with some of her classes... I want to make a copy of her unofficial transcript and give copies to all her middle school and high school teachers and guidance counselors and principals and the board of ed and say see what a good job you all did - and thanks for all the help you gave that I asked for - losers. (too lazy to capitalize...plus they don't deserve capitalization...)
there I go complaining again... sorry...
Linda - it wasn't this hot and humid when I went - too hot for me, but not that hot for others who aren't 50lbs overweight and out of shape...
DD bought 2 gallons of milk and then DS told "D"H we needed milk, so he bought a gallon. so now we have to make Pillsbury chocolate chip cookies so we can drink the milk - lol. I could drink a gallon of milk all by myself eating those cookies.
-
That's an awesome theory, Chris. Make the cookies!!!
I hope the meeting went well Sandy.
-
thanks it did Linda and Chris you can freeze the milk!!!
oh and again you don't go shopping when you are hungry, went in to get hamburger rolls, got a dozen donuts, a mini lemon meringue pie, chips and 4 muffins,
-
Haha - that's how I shop...mmmm, lemon meringue pie - that's sounds yummy.
The milk will get drunk - it's just taking up so much room in the fridge. We had EL Fudge double stuffed cookies and Keebler Fudge Sticks instead of the Pillsbury cookies. And I wonder why I don't lose weight... oink
-
Chris you are killing me! I haven't had those in years......now I want them!!
-
lol chris and the LM pie was awesome, I think, wish I could taste it...
-
Glad you enjoyed the pie!! You deserve it!
-
I'm gonna sound like a baby but i was cleaning the yard and i felt this sharp pain like a bite or something with thorns
My thumb is swollen it's double size...
What do I do ?
-
Ice and benadryl - no idea if it was bite or thorn?
-
Sheila, DH says (no matter what my complaint is) -- "soak it" and "did you take something for it?" Not sure what to tell you...ice sounds good too...but try to be sure there's nothing stuck in your finger.
I am not thinking about DD moving right now...but I know you understand...your DD is REALLY far. Wings required.
Chris, no offense about profs...I am the biggest critic of how they do things... DD has a full plate....It is true about the sleeping...I am a bad sleeper and when I slow down like now, I seems to always be tired and need more sleep. My body is probably taking advantage of my staying in one place for a little while...
Am still visiting with DS..tonight we made a great dinner (4 of us = so little work)After dinner I put out a few sweets and fruits.
I looked at the peppers left in the salad bowl and thought "perfect, all cut up for tomorrow's omelette" and the strawberries for my yogurt....but when I went into thekitchen later, it was al in the garbage pail. Those darned organic strawberries were $4/box.Linda, so sorry about your friend...
Going to try to sleep now, but it will be hard knowing that once again children are suffering in our country...darned storms....I just don't understand.J
-
Only scheduled to work yesterday this week, but I checked and found an opening for today so I snagged it. I've now worked at 1/3 of the regular high schools at the district and the adult school.
DS3 called and asked if he and wife could come for dinner tomorrow night. I said of course, but I'm figuring he wants his hair cut or something. Told him we'd have leftovers. Not really, but he refuses leftovers no matter how yummy they were the first time around.(I have to clear up all the wedding prep stuff that is out so I don't have to hear the snide remarks from DIL).
DH brought me a flight schedule to go visit DS1 and his little family in July. DH will fly me there and then drive himself 4-5 days later. That's so cool! Skyped with Patch last night and had fun but when he saw DH come in he got very excited to see PawPaw! He calls me pawpaw, too but not with the excitement he expresses for DH. I'll use my time with them to train him to say Grandma.
-
Snide remarks...I don't know what I would do if I had a DIL who had the nerve to behave that way. I'm not good with confrontation. I hope she can behave herself.
Is DH loving having Patch get so excited to see him? I'm glad you will have a nice visit in July.
I'm going to try to go for a "run," but I think it is too warm for me already, but I'll do what I can do.
