Blue - that's a snark/joke romney, right? You found it in the Onion? We're supposed to laugh, yet???
JACKIE - perfect...I did a Happy Dance after I read it

It is 70, sunny, BLUEBLUEBLUE sky - oh, Divine weather...
Kentucky Derby winner gonna be a mudder....

a quiver hold arrows - or it used to....

Now, the use of the phrase "quiver full" can hardly be accidental, given the existence of theQuiverfull movement--whose leaders believe that if women do not consent to serving as baby factories, men will turn gay.
Edited to add: You have to look at the link to believe it.
-
Oh my...once again I am full of questions with few answers. The speech---very much Romneyesque. Yes there is that 47 %. Well, you know, having all those babies are great if you have the funds to properly bring them up and get them through college and all that.
We wouldn't want a one of them from those lofty quivers to accidentally become part of the peon, lazy ne're-do-wells who need handouts and all sorts of help from the government. The ones who many on the right would not give a glance to or a helping hand.
Actually....with some of the pieces I'm reading from Add Info I'm aghast. Much like your link RR. It is hard to reconcile some of these people being where they are ( Senate/House of Republicans etc. ) and coming up with some of that total, nonsense, completely off the wall. Would like to know what definite proof there is, but of course, there is none which is what sets them up as absolute fools and those who believe it as well.
Yes.....I am on the ignore, mute, and free speech train and it is liberating though can't say I get as many laughs as I was having but am saved from a boatload of nonsensical drivel. It was alwasy STDD. Yawn !!!!!

This is a sort of Romney to me:

I actually felt ashamed using Nicholas's name in connection with not getting a gun for his 1st birthday but I wonder if it actually happens over there.
We are here with him, he's in a gorgeous mood - smiling at everyone - the wonders of sleep.

"There Are No ‘Absolute’ Rights"
"Nearly every idea in the Bill of Rights comes with restrictions and limitations. To think that the Second Amendment should be any different is absurd, writes Michael Tomasky."
"Every time I write a column on guns, the howl arises that I am talking about a right that is enshrined in the Constitution, buddy, and I better watch myself. The howl then transmutes into an extended harangue that this right is absolute, and no libtard fascist, whether me or the Satanesque Dianne Feinstein, is going to limit the right in any way. The first soldier to charge across this rhetorical veld is followed by hundreds harrumphing their assent. The only problem is that it’s an ahistorical, afactual, and barbaric argument. No right is absolute. In fact, the Second Amendment arguably has fewer restrictions on it these days than many of the other first ten, and there is and should be no guarantee that things are going to stay that way. In fact, if we’re ever going to be serious about trying to stop this mass butchery that we endure every few months, they cannot......"

I so agree with that article....very tired of those who DEMAND their rights and have such a heavy-duty entitlement but they don't want the restrictive laws that must follow along.

Saw another little gem just now:

riverrat - that is an AMAZING link - makes me gag to read it....wish I could laugh, but it's so tragic.

Jackie - your Ted Cruz graphic is pretty darn good. Carville thinks he's the next GOP nominee, as he can verbally beat down any opponent. (Maybe this is wishful thinking on the part of Carville too.) He's already displayed his Joeseph McCarthy bona fides, so he might just be a perfect fit for this new-fashioned GOP!
-
I have no opinion on the merits of Ted Cruz as a potential Republican candidate - but, given that he really was born outide the US, is he eligible to be a presidential candidate or is the discussion about some other level of candidacy?
-
I don't care if he was born in Canada. I just care that he's an ignorant and intolerant jerk.
-
Even Republicans dislike him -- he seems to be incapable of holding any kind of civil conversation, which does not play well in the Senate. He is too extreme and they are once again afraid that he will get the nomination and the electorate will run screaming for the Democrats -- again.
He was born of a U.S. citizen mother who had spent the requisite amount of time in the United States to transmit her citizenship, so he does count as a "natural-born citizen," having received citizenship at birth. Sadly. And oh, BTW, even if Barack Obama had been born in Kenya (which he wasn't, feverish and delusional conspiracists notwithstanding), he would also have been a natural-born citizen since his mother was born in the United States and had met the transmission requirements.

I was taking pics of my flowering trees today.....

When I realized I had these still in my camera from Easter....

Well fed mom (bless her she has Alzheimers with Parkinsonism)

Well fed dad (who tkes care of mom 24/7) and of course,

Well fed furbabies!
And here's another one just because my daughter bought them for me.

The pictures are great. Pretty flowers from your daughter. Gorgeous vase.

For Athena,

-
All the pictures were great....loved the one of Mom and Dad. I have a great fondness for older people. They generally have great stories to tell and wisdom to pass along. I miss mine every day. Love the furby's too.

-
Hi girls - all packed and at our DD's - have to be at the airport at 2pm. We'll miss our bubby but unfortunately the job prospects in this city are very small for my skills and age, so moving is not really an option.
Just had a thought and checked - Athena logged in to BCO yesterday - so she is there but maybe not able to post.
-
Suzie - your down under yesterday is our today

-
Does that mean that Suzie can predict the future, since it already happened for her?
-
Well, she certainly has a better idea than we do that the sun will come up tomorrow.
-
Ha ha - so she logged in on the 5th May - is that better?
We're finally home - flight delayed an hour - mountain of washing to do and work tomorrow. Can't pick up kittie until after work tomorrow.
Missing bubby terribly.
-
