We're here - been helping clean up the yard for the party tomorrow - what a mess. They actually thought they'd already cleaned it up - sigh.

We picked Nickie up from day care early - he gave Steve a big smile. He's asleep just now - he seemed to recognise me - I got a big smile too.

SIL came home from hospital - he seems really spaced, which would be understandable.

Our hotel is great - we got the exact same room as last year, which is really weird.

E - weird biopsy results - hopethe clinical trial works!!!

    Good morning to all!

Suzie, I'm going to import you to my house so you can clean what I thought was already clean.  :-)  You are a tornado of energy!

PsychoChaplain - Aren't we already BFFs?  I *heart* you!

Sunny, I'll take it all and maybe share with my horse.  ;-)

I am still baffled by the biopsy results and angry for having probable false-hope in my head.  I'm doing my best to shut it out (You STOP that, brain!  You stop that right NOW!) but it's still there, whispering, holding balloons, and painting rainbows.

E - ya mean the hammering was for nada?  I can't wrap what's left of my brain around that....really, but whadda I know - nothing.  I might question, well, I do question my regualr docs, but when my oncologist says something, I pretty much accept it as best information - jeez - when it comes to bc, there has to be someone you can trust???

Saw a PBS special the other night - training of the Lipizan (sp?) gorgeous white DANCING horses - amazing, just amazing - and I LOVE the first 3 years they live and romp in the fields b4 being trained - always with humans around them, the most incredible horses...they love people.

Lippizzaners are amazing!  They mature more slowly than other horses, and the demands placed on their bodies through training necessitate a longer "growth" period.  My horse, a warmblood, also matured slowly.  He's turning seven and was just started under saddle, but I'm fine with that.  I'm convinced he'll have fewer problems with lameness now that he's fully mature.

E - I am so happy for Samson's homecoming.  Is he a Dutch warmblood?  i have to come visit you and meet him.  With apples and carrots, of course.

No, Sampson's a Hanoverian/Oldenburg cross, but he's more the Oldenburg "type."  Yes!  Come and visit!

Sorry if these pics offend some, and that we have virtual drinks, but life is too short to dwell on all that hate and negativity.  OH and by the way, please let Nicki rest in peace.  Don't use her for your own device, please.  She was a good friend!

Blue - I like the more "subtle" ones like the flowers on the wooden swing.  I'm not on FB, no social media, too invasive for my current life....but appreciate what all of you share from there.  My little cabin is FULL FULL FULL of daffodils in vases - I bring them in when they are in bud, so I get to watch them bloom.

Old fashioned? moi?  tee, hee...just got zillions of lily of the vally plants I dug up from friend who says they are taking over too much of her garden so I helped clear it for her, and put them right in front of my door - and soon the lilacs will bloom....joy.

I second Sunny's request to Athena!  It's hard to carry on without knowing what is happening to our lioness.  Hopefully she is just getting the treatment she needs and will be back soon. Cry  I miss her.  Athena!!!!

E- that is the oddest biopsy results I've ever heard of.  I know the PetScan results in lesion signatures in the form of SUV uptake values (how fast the lesion uses glucose) and BC has it's own value range.  I remember, as there was no mistaking my 8.3 value as cancer.  Still, you want to know the characteristics...er+ etc.   Sheesh.

We're having beautiful weather here in California, which has been great for retirement, but I fear it is going to be a very bad fire year and lots of bark beetles killing our Pine trees, should the insect cycle coincide with this drought we are having.  It's supposedly as bad as 1977, which was not a good year for the forests, but with the overall increase in our average temps, due to climate change, even if only 1-3 degrees, we've gone from our average big fire being at most 100K acres in the 1990's, to 300-500k acres since the turn of the century, during our dry summers. Fires have a purpose, but at that size, they create havoc with air quality, wildlife and water quality.  Ok, enough of my soapbox.

oh my, I love love love lily of the valley.  I haven't been able to grow any for so many years, as the soil at my last two homes simply would not grow them (too much clay).  I'm hoping that my next place they will run riot.  :) (If, that is, we ever find a place.... Frown)  growing frustrated....

My neighbour planted some lily of the valley near our mutual property line. She apologized when they wandered into my yard. No apologies necessary!! - anything that blooms lovely flowers is welcome wherever it decides to grow in my yard.
