hi gals: can't even attempt to catch up with you all.. but want to congratulate Meece.. Im so glad this new girl is marrying Matt!i've been praying for the Lord to put the right one in his life.
Things are dicey here.. yesterday, the cardio told me i'm "primed" for ANOTHER heart attack, still. He said the surgeon noted that the anterior aorta has a :"leatherlike" consistency.. he said its a side effect from chemo, and the old cardio should've been checking the bloating, and pain in the sternum all along.
He also told me chemo troubles show up in the heart 3-4 yrs later.. a warning if you're having any pain, from me..
I passed my stress test, and 2 days later, had a massivee heart attack.. so, goes to show yu, they don't know.. only God, the Great physician does..
Thank you all for lifting me up. I didn't know
Eli was having problems, somebody send me a pm, and let me know whats up with her. I'm still praying, and thinking of you all...3jays/cherie -
Thank you.
First I want to extend my sympathy to you, Eph, on your loss, YOu gave Ruby a wonderful life.
Patch is going to throw temper fits and uncontrolable crying due to his sister. He will be unconsolable by anyone other than mama which will break his grandma's heart. He will "hold" Lala for a minute or two then when she squirms or fusses he will leap out of his seat, and luckily there will be another set of arms cradling the baby as his feet hit the ground. He will get used to this, but he is giving us a run for our money right now. It has been a very long past two days and I need patience, something I know not to ask God for as He will give me a reason to use it. The children are okay, it's just tough in other ways. Please keep this little family in your prayers.
3Jays, I will PM you.

Matt contacted me at 2 am. His fiance's baby is in the hospital with an elevated white BC and possible meningitis. Please keep him in your prayers. It tears me up that I cannot be there for them right now.
-
JUst got this Meece. Shot up an arrow prayer! What's going on?
-
Just seeing this as well. Praying for y'all.
-
Meece.....Very sorry...Did they do a spinal on the baby?
My DD @ 5 months was hospitalized for the same reason...
they were concerned for Meningitis...she had a spinal and after keeping her in for 3 days....She was discharged....DX..Viral Infection........
HUGS♥
-
Meece, adding my prayers.
-
They've done the spinal and it is not Meningitis. Praise the Lord. Since he is in the Foster system they can only take him to certain hospitals. They have been waiting a good part of the day for a bed to open, but now that the spinal is back, they may not admit him. He is the best natured little guy and he is in such discomfort right now. Come to find out his grandmother has been picking him up from day care and taking him to see his father in jail! The grandmother was only supposed to be having visits for herself. The ability to pick him up has been cancelled. In case you are concerned that he is in daycare, his "mommy" is a teacher at the center and he go into the infant room with 3 other children while she works down the hall.
Thank you for the prayers. I KNOW they are what has brought our little one out of such a dire situation!
-
Praise God!!He's ok.. i used to foster babies, too, and the visits many times were a problem.. glad the little guy will be allright!what have they dxed him with?3jays

We are home from our trip to care for DS and his family with the birth of the new little one. Today we got to see "Tony" the little one who was in the hospital. No idea what he had/has but he has horrible asthma and his little lungs rattle so. So glad to be home safely and be with our outher family, so sad to be far away from the new baby and her family. I miss Patch yoddeling for MiMa and rocking Lala to sleep through her evening hiccups. I just sat and rocked "Tony" tonight.

So Garden buddies, my church is working actively on establishing a mission to an unreached people group. We have been praying for God's direction on where in the world we should seek & overwhelming response of the congregation has been Bangledesh & a Hindu group. There are tons & tons of details to work out and the location is not written in stone yet. I have indicated that I would be interested in going on a fact finding mission once we have a place identified. We are following the P.A.C.E. model through an organization called Team Expansion. Anyway, when you think about it, I would appreciate prayers for our congregation to get clarity as well as prayers for my involvement & what level that might look like.
When I was a tween & early teen, I was certain I was going to join the Peace Corp. That never happened. Throughout my life, at various stages, I've thought of the mission field, but just didn't really have a sense that it was the right time. With Mom's death, daughter's graduation & a variety of other possible impediments, I'm thinking if I'm going to do something, it should be sooner than later. I'll be 60 in 2014 (that's the new 40 right?) so I would want to sign up by then, don't you agree?
Anyway, prayers when you think about it; thanks so much.
-
Congratulations Meece on your new grandbaby! I will keep Tony in my prayers too. Ladies after going with my daughter to hear the twins heartbeats today we were happy and having a great day when her best friend since high school called to say she found out this afternoon that she has BC, she is 35 and has 2 babies under 5. Please keep Stephanie in your prayers.
Hugs to all of you!
Linda
-
Linda, Well, many congrats on the happy part of the day. I will pray for Stephanie & her family.
-
And so will I.
-
And I will, too. For you and your Church, Eph, and for Stephanie and her family.
Thank you ladies for your prayers.
I am glad to see some activity here once more, even if it is to ask for prayer.

thinking and praying for you all........3jays

Checking in: Evebarry

Sweet Ladies, I haven't visited here for awhile. It's good to see you all hangin together.
3jaysmom, I'm sad to hear of your recent health problems. You are such a light and blessing to the ladies here at bco; especially to those who walk with you in The Garden. One day, we will all step into glory and be forever healthy. For now prayers and hugs...:)
My annual mammo is this Wednesday. I had a mastectomy on the right breast Dec. 27, 2011 so still have my left breast. I've been doing well, except for coming down with a nasty flu in February that I had a difficult time getting over. Ever since Feb, my chest feels tight, lots of coughing and easily out of breath...maybe I've develop ashma? I also have little pea size lumps around my implant where cancer was found (new ones about a month ago). It's probably nothing more than fat nerosis. Most of the time, I do not think about a recurrence. I'm pretty busy with work, and life.
Happy that most of you are together and doing well. (((HUGS))) Evebarry

You changed your "name"!?
Prayers for good results from your mammo Wednesday. It is good when Life can override our focus on BC. Living for our future is much more rewarding.
I am guessing that this will be my last year going for followups as I will hit my 10 year mark in November. Kind of scary, but it will be for the best if my onc makes that decision, I trust her.
-

-
Thank you for the insight, hindsfeet Sounds like an interesting project.
I have a job interview at 11:50 today, but have a temp assignment all day. Please make a little prayer that they will let me have my lunch a little early so I can make it to my interview.
-
Hope your job interview went well Meece. We found out that the twins are both boys!! I was hoping for a little pink in my life besides BC, but grandchildren are so awesome I don't care about the gender at all!!
Just to let you know the young women Stephanie is holding her own as she heads down the road for treatment, thanks for all your prayers.
Hugs and Love

I come to the garden to pray for my friend.
Good Shepherd, please, put thy hand on her shoulder, guide her to the doctor on Friday, be with her, and put that doctor before her where he will know for certain this child of God needs his healing hand, so he will help her to finally sleep, and sleep, and sleep. Please, heavenly father, if this is not too much to ask in a world that needs so much help, this friend of mine needs you too, just like the sparrow, if you care for him, care for her, guide her doctor to help her, oh righteous Shepherd whom I love more than life, thru God Almighty, be her protector and give her what she needs and wants. Amen.

The interview went great, but I didn't get the job. Since I only substitute job are given to current FT employess who are wanting to change locations. I finished subbing for 8 days yesterday and got a call to sub on the 20th. Then at nearly 10 last night a sub job came in for today. So at least I will have an income of sorts so I am doing okay. My Father has not forgotten to provide. He never does.

I come to the garden to pray again, Lord.
Please watch over my friend today as she goes to her doctor, who is the exact right person for what she needs. I have complete faith and understanding You will bring her what she needs and then some. You will help her sleep, You will make her sing again, You will help her with everything that has been an obstacle, which has been everything. All people need to sleep, and this is her only wish, her one wish, and my prayer, that she be given the peace and quiet that only YOU can provide for her. God willing, and in the beautiful name of Jesus the Christ, I pray you give her a Holy Church in which to pour all her sorrows, so she will awake anew, and filled with the love of the Saviour, who gave his life for all men and women ever to walk this earth, that they may be free. Amen.

Gardeners, Need a little help please. A friend of mine (CArol), non-believer, is going through a crisis & through another friend(Debbie) has indicated she, Carol, wants to learn about God. Debbie called me to find out if I would be willing to go & pray with her, Carol, this evening. I'm scheduled to go over at 6:30 pm. Please cover me with prayer for God's wisdom & his words in this important task.
