You are Mine By David Haas
I will come to you in the silence I will lift you from all your fear You will hear My voice I claim you as My choice Be still, and know I am near
I am hope for all who are hopeless I am eyes for all who long to see In the shadows of the night, I will be your light Come and rest in Me
Chorus: Do not be afraid, I am with you I have called you each by name Come and follow Me I will bring you home I love you and you are mine
I am strength for all the despairing Healing for the ones who dwell in shame All the blind will see, the lame will all run free And all will know My name
Chorus: Do not be afraid, I am with you I have called you each by name Come and follow Me I will bring you home I love you and you are mine
I am the Word that leads all to freedom I am the peace the world cannot give I will call your name, embracing all your pain Stand up, now, walk, and live
Chorus: Do not be afraid, I am with you I have called you each by name Come and follow Me I will bring you home I love you and you are mine

When The Saints Go Marching In

Happy by Carolyn Arends. If you never heard of her, she was a psychologist and is a songwriter. Here are the lyrics:
Do I annoy you with my optimism? Am I an insult to your realism? I got hope and just a little bit of passion
And I know both those things have gone right out of fashion So call me a rebel, you can call me a foolI won't give up the fight, I just refuse
And I will dare to dreamI will dare to believe in something, babyAnd I will dare to be happyAnd I will dare to be happy
Does it offend you that I've made that decision?Does it betray your sense of fatalism? Please forgive me but I don't believe it's treason
For me to live my life like it's mine for a reasonSo call me Pollyanna, you can call me a childBut I will not lie down, that's not my style
And I will dare to dreamI will dare to believe in something, babyAnd I will dare to be happyAnd I will dare to be happy
Do I annoy you with my stubborn insistence? That love can save us and I've seen its existenceI got Jesus and a little bit of passion
And I know both those things have gone right out of fashionSo you can call me crazy 'cause here's whatI'm gonna do, I'm gonna dare to pray the same for you
And I will dare to dreamI will dare to believe in something, babyAnd I will dare to be happyAnd I will dare to be happy
I will dare to dreamI will dare to believe in something, babyAnd I will dare to be happyAnd I will dare to be happyYeah, I will dare to be happy -
BY FAR! THE VERY BEST (caps intended here!) Album (CD) I have ever, ever heard in ONE album is:
How Can I Keep From Singing - by Noel Henry
http://www.irishrecords.com/howcanikeepf.html
Noel Henry was a well-known recording artist who, with
his Irish Showband, entertained at dances, functions and concerts across the
country since he journeyed here from his home in Ireland over 30 years ago. In
1988, a swelling on his leg was diagnosed as bone cancer and his hectic life was
changed forever. In 1991, after surgery and with the cancer in remission, Noel
made his first trip to Medjugorje. The experience was as life changing as the
dread diagnosis had been three years before. In September of 1994, however,
evidence of the disease returned and, sadly, the doctors were unable to fight
its progress. Noel passed on to his eternal reward on January 31, 1995. This
recording "How Can I Keep From Singing," made just before he died, is a
collection of beautiful hymns, some performed in harmony with his eldest
daughter, Caroline.
How Can I Keep From Singing? • Be Not Afraid • Blest Be The Lord • Holy Is Your Name • Old Rugged Cross • Universe Is Singing • Our
Lady Of Knock • How Great Thou Art • Alleluia • Peace Is Flowing • As I Kneel Before You • Song Of Thanks • Make Me A Channel Of Your Peace • Song Of The Body Of Christ • Hail Mary/Gentle Woman • Let There Be Peace • Irish BlessingThe ENTIRE collection of songs were sung by a devout Catholic, who got - and lost - his battle to cancer in 1995. I met him personally. He performed at our local Irish-American Club the night before the Feast of The Assumption (1994), and I made a personal request that he play, "Our Lady Of Knock" for me - and for the Blessed Mother, in honor of her feast the next day. He kind of hesitated (everyone was dancing and drinking and having a great time!), but when I chided, "comon, Noel, we BOTH owe our Blessed Mother this honor, don't we?" So he played the song, and I helped him & his bad sing it out! :O A memory I'll cherish in my heart forever!
The music within is sung so tranquilly, it WILL totally relax you... if I had to do chemo treatments, I'd be playing this one non-stop! Price on the website link above is at $15.95 for the CD - WELL worth it... for what it's worth, I just went to amazon.com and checked out the 3 reviews of folks who bought it - "cancer recovery" was well mentioned. High reviews there, enough said. You can even check to see if your local religious goods store (or library?) may have a copy. THIS one is one I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!!
Lastly, I sang his "Irish Blessing" to my family and guests, and priests at our wedding reception 12 yrs ago, as I did at my Dad's funeral almost 8 yrs ago... great memories, that!
