Wow, a lot happens in just a day.

Craze-E (artist formerly known as Enjoyful : ).  Hoping you're able to get the clearance to ride your beautiful horse and thinking of you as you have more tests upcoming.

Gardengumby, I think you were getting a CT on Friday.  Hoping that went ok.

Glenna, good luck with chemo today.

Chickadee, hope you're feeling good and congrats on the encouraging results from your scans

Blue, hoping your check up with your "wizard" : ) went well yesterday.

And Athena, oh my, so much pain yesterday and now these tests and confusing results, so far.  You said it "looks like" not, it definitely is, so, I'm also hoping along with everyone else, that it is something else and hopefully, just an exercise injury that can quickly heal.

Prayers, good thoughts and healing vibes being sent out to all!

E~~I hope you can convince your doctor to let you ride. That's like having your doc tell you to give up a loved one. They have got to understand that our emotional health is very important to our physical health.

Athena~~I was stunned when I read what you said about mets.

I started this post over an hour ago and was interrupted by a long phone call. So, I'm hoping by now you know that as a false report. STILL PRAYING!!!!

    Blessings

    Paula

Athena, I'm hoping that this turns out to not be mets. I'm sending you hopeful vibes and calmness to get through the testing.

A tear!!???? This is good news (yes, weird) hey???  Yeah for tears - and not the saline type that come from the eyes.

From huffpost - good news for gun control:

WASHINGTON -- A new poll has New Hampshire Sen. Kelly Ayotte down a total of 15 points from her previous approval rating in a survey that followed her vote against requiring background checks for firearms purchases.

Ayotte's plunge underscores the changing politics around gun control and gun safety. In years past, lawmakers worried that a vote for gun control would bring the anger of the National Rifle Association. In the new reality, votes against gun control also carry a political risk, as the Ayotte (R) poll indicates.

A full three-quarters of New Hampshire voters support such background checks, along with 56 percent of Republicans, according to Public Policy Polling. A WMUR Granite State Poll taken in January and February found that more than 9 in 10 state residents supported implementing background checks at gun shows.

It's not entirely clear yet how opposition to background checks will play out at the polls, but there are signs Ayotte’s vote may have taken a toll.

Athena, hope that at least you're not in pain . . . even if the neck brace is confining and uncomfortable (and probably not very stylish).  Rest up but please know we're all thinking about you.

Well I finally wake up.......and to scary news. Athena, I do hope the scan is wrong.

E,maybe you work with one of the equine therapy places to be able to slowly ride Sampson while being led. Though I know that would probably be torture and you'd want to fly with the wind.

E - air vests, what ever it takes to get you back up on that gorgeous animal.

Athena - whew....hoping a "tear" is good news, and quickly heals.

Missed whatever the Mods were warning about, but then I don't read many other threads.

Chickadee - congratulations again on good scan results - so happy for you - thinking CRUISE, and chocolate.

Bren - thinking of you & Tim, wishing you have a peaceful Friday - and GOOD painfree results from surgery.

Thanks for thinking of us Sunnyflowers!  We're both getting a little nervous.  Tomorrow he has to go in for pre-op.  Just wish the hospital was closer ... it takes an hour and 15 minutes to get there. There weren't any local doctors who would attempt the surgery.

I am so upset about Athena.  What is going on?  Are mets to her spine confirmed?  I'm glad to see a note that she is at the hospital getting some pain relief.

Crazy-E ... I sure hope your doc changes his mind and lets you ride.  Can't wait to meet Sampson!  He's so cute ... loved the pic you posted on the last page ... you look pretty damn good too.  Thinking of you tomorrow as you go for the MRI.  I'll be in your back pocket.

    hugs,

    Bren

Edited: I'm a goofball .. I knew tomorrow was the biopsy of the L-spine, not the MRI.  Will be right there with you E!

Tomorrow's the CT-assisted biopsy, Bren.  The MRI was Monday.  Wishing all the best for an easy procedure on Friday!

I do know people in the Therapeutic Riding field...maybe I'll contact them to see if they have experience with effin cancer.

Wishing for pain-free moments for you, Athena.  Damn.

Just spoke to onc and he gave me a big, resounding NO on the riding.  At least for the next month.  *sad face*

    Thinking of E & Samson - http://www.nvtrp.org/

wonder if they may be able to guide you to a place . Understand what onc is saying now, but now isn't forever.

What's wid all da name changin'????

Aw Athena, this sucks.  Please report in with good news, like overexercising, or "just" a tear...and NO MORE PAIN. Roars.

JMO but Ayotte and those of her ilk who wimp out at the wrong time will  have plenty of time for regrets because  I do think the American people are so FED-UP  with a party and president that nearly took us to extinction in the 8 yrs. before Obama  --- got us into wars that should not have been and now we have the worst "Congress is many a yr.

I would love to see  things go differently but I'm about out of hope.
