Jackie, what a sad anniversary.
Even sadder is that our elected officials have learned ABSOLUTELY NOTHING from that massacre, and all the ones that followed it.
-
E, I'm pissing myself.
Next European tour......
Dirty Porn
Dracula
Smelly Armpits (gotta visit Jim)
and of course, Godfathers.
Might Even take a swim in the Middle Earth Lake!
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaw!

Jackie, I missed that post about Colombine.
There is no rational, human argument against background checks for gun purchases. It's past the time for politicians to admit it, for the politicians and NRA to cut financial ties with gun manufacturers, and for the remaining 10% of American citizens to DEMAND common sense.
smh

Friend of mine is down in "Hunger and Stuff" this week.
As for the map of Europe, dudettes, seriously, traditionally DENMARK has the dirty porn. Germany is more about large ladies named Helga dressed up like Bismark

-
Cash and Ice Caps.....how could I forget those!
-
Hey Momine, a friend of mine just got back from AIDS! I wonder if my friend and your friend know each other?

-
Craze-E (great rapper name, by the way), maybe, who knows? My friend is working for the EU and is trying to get a handle on the pirates down there in Hunger and Stuff.

I do find it quite sad that we don't learn valuable lessons. I think one is likely quite close on the horizon. There will be ill will now imho due to what happened in Boston where immigration is concerned. We are the land of the free and home of the brave, and many feel they can and will have a better life by coming here.
We can't have someone "tail" every person who might create a problem, and for all that, who knows for sure when someone is about to go off the deep end. The immigration and other issues at this point clearly show why less government is not always desirable.
We are capable of learning but there are some factions who are going to have to learn some flexibility....before one party is no more.

Insanity and terror are human conditions and are not bound to ethnicities, religions, or citizenship. People need to wake the fuck up and realize that.
-
"Large ladies named Helga dressed up like Bismarck. . . ." Can't stop laughing, Momine! Actually, I thought they were named Ilsa, though. ROFLMAO!
I've been to many of those places ... I lived in Cambodia 2.0, visited Curry extensively, got food poisoning and saw Everest in Alpinists, loved Brothel, am enduringly fond of Crisis, Smelly Armpits, and Chocolate and would love to visit Godfather more extensively. Gonna take a cruise one day to Poultry/Thanksgiving Meal, Crisis and Godfather, and want to take another to Commies, Socialist Union and Buffer Zone.
Sad to say that many people don't know the real names of those colored shapes -- and are proud of not knowing. I'm afraid we are becoming a nation of haters who embrace and revel in ignorance. Remember Frothy Rick saying that the regressives will never have the smart, educated people on their side -- like that is a badge of honour! ("u" because I love our friends who spell with extra "u"s.

"Michelle Obama Visits Hern Family in Boston Hospital"
-
"President, first lady visit Boston hospitals to comfort families affected by the bombings"
"Boosting morale for a city in shock and mourning, President Obama went to Massachusetts General Hospital today to visit victims of the Boston Marathon terror bombings and their families and thank hospital staff for their efforts.
“He was extremely complimentary and I think, as he left those areas, people were thankful that he came. They were honored,” nurse Alice Gervasini said after the president’s visit.
She said people found the president “genuinely concerned.”
“It would be hard not to say that everyone is clearly elated by the interaction,” she said......
.........The president also met with hundreds of race volunteers at Cathedral High School, telling them “how proud the whole country is of you” for displaying “the best of the American spirit” in reacting to the blasts.
The president went to the high school after delivering a powerful, uplifting speech at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, which is next door to the school.......
......Michelle Obama visited patients at Boston Children’s Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, according to an official briefed on the trip"

The Daily Beast regularly posts "The Week in Wingnuts." You can't make this stuff up....
"The Week in Wingnuts: ‘Vaginas’ and Guns in Boston"
"A Republican rep calls women “vaginas” and another says that liberal Bostonians probably wished they had guns during the lockdown. The Daily Beast finds the wildest ideas being proposed, or passed, by state lawmakers."
-
blue - your pictures are truly amazing! where are these people - i'll get em! thanks for posting them. maybe it's b/c i've been watching boston's fight - but feeling a little like kicking some butt myself.....

Beck has a big secret that will be revealed tomorrow. He gave Obama until then to fess up! Are his ratings dropping?

Libby, that is true. There was a porn flick called "Ilsa, the She-Wolf of the SS." I know, because it played in Denmark for years and years and was always advertised in the cinema section of the paper. I always wondered how they could make money showing that same movie over and over again. I guess old Ilsa must have been quite something.
Here she is:

Gotta love the synopsis (from Wiki):
"It starred Dyanne Thorne as "Ilsa," Kommandant of a Nazi Stalag (prisoner-of-war camp); the maliciousness of her character was very loosely based on that of Ilse Koch. Ilsa conducts sadistic scientific experiments designed to demonstrate that women are more capable of enduring pain than men are, and therefore should be allowed to fight in the army. Ilsa is also portrayed as a buxom woman with a voracious sexual appetite for men. Every night she chooses another one of her male prisoners and rapes him; however, due to her insatiable hunger, she gets disappointed when her current victim eventually ejaculates, and promptly has him castrated and put to death. Only an American prisoner, who can withhold ejaculating, manages to use her weakness to his favor."

Speaking of the Family Koch: I just read today that the infamous American branch hopes to purchase the Tribune Company, which includes (among others) the Chicago Trib, the LA Times and the Hartford Courant. Not good news for unbiased media, folks.
The Tribune Company is a large American multimedia corporation based in Chicago, Illinois. It is the nation's second-largest newspaper publisher, with ten daily newspapers and commuter tabloids including Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times, Hartford Courant, Orlando Sentinel,South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Baltimore Sun, Daily Press and The Morning Call, among others.
Through Tribune Broadcasting, the company operates 23 television stations, WGN America on national cable, and Chicago's WGN radio. The group's combined reach is more than 80 percent of U.S. television households. Investment interests include Food Network (31%).
Tribune Interactive, another subsidiary, manages the interactive operations of major daily newspapers such as Chicago Tribune and Los Angeles Times and their associated websites. Its national network sites owned with partners include CareerBuilder.com, Cars.com,Apartments.com and Topix.net. With more than 50 websites overall, Tribune Interactive ranks among the nation's leading news and information networks. The sites attract more than 20 million unique visitors per month.
Tribune Media Services provides syndicated content to print and electronic media.
Key company investment interests include CareerBuilder (30.8% owned), Classified Ventures(28%) and Topix.com (34%).

True that!

Blue - Beck's secret? Is that like Trumps bombshell news on Obama. So bombshell, I can't even remember what it was.
Chanel is gorgeous - backstory?? Age?? Sex??

Hahaha, Kam -- that's funny. Now that you mention it, I can't remember what the "bombshell" was, either.

"Boston and the Right-Wing Media's Collapse"
......"In the same week that Pulitzer prizes were announced honoring the finest in American journalism, many in the far-right media worked to set news standards in mindless, awful behavior in the wake of the Boston attack.
Faced with covering the most important American terror news story in a decade, too many players opted to just make stuff up. Prompting witch hunts, they cast innocents as would-be killers and then couldn't be bothered with apologies.........
........"Grossly irresponsible" and "egregious" were some of the descriptions media pro's used to explain the (New York) Post's shocking performance this week. As one journalism professor told Media Matters, "It does appear that the Post, there is something crazy going on there."
Trust me, it's not just the Post."

Belinda, I don't know which I like more -- the thoughtful takedown of the crazily irresponsible tabloid press, or the blubbering Glenn Beck photo!
Linda
Edited to add - the link is definitely worth clicking on. It's really sobering to read that people are being actively encouraged to circulate untrue rumors that could have serious consequences for innocent, private individuals.
-
Lewing, it's quite scary and disconcerting that so many people worship at the altar of Glenn Beck, Alex Jones, Ann Coulter, Limbaugh, Trump, Palin and their ilk....
Btw, this link shows the list of the 2013 Journalism Pulitzer Prize Winners:
