AMERICAN IDOL...Season 12 & The Voice...Season 4

Haha, I know! I asked my son, "Didn't you give it an extra 5 minutes?" but no, he didn't. The first time it happened to us was on the grand finale when it was between David Cook and David Archuletta. Our DVR went... "and the winner is...." STOP. I almost died! We missed the reactions of David C, the parents, the other candidates... all my favorite stuff. That was probably my favorite season. I have seen most of it on youtube since but I hated that I missed the actual moment.
On another note, Usher is an intense boss!
-
Make sure you have at least 15 minutes extra on the season finale
OMG...Missing the finale of 2 David.....I would be crying
It was a good season wasn't it?

Oh, I'm so glad you put that up there! I'm going to enjoy it now!

They may be wanting a different sound besides country this year. However, since the tweens, teens and young adults are the ones who usually buy on itunes and buy cd's, and the voting and viewer numbers are down this year, it's safe to say this group isn't watching or voting. So my guess is they won't be buying any of these young womens music even if they do win and are heavily promoted. I look at it like this, how many young people actually listen to blues and jazz? I have kids under 26 and they don't and neither do their friends. Christian rock is more popular than blues or jazz among the kids. Honestly though, pop, pop country, and rock are pretty much what my children and their friends listen too. My daughter was here the other night when Fantasia was singing (she's 23) and she made me mute the television while she was singing. LOL! she can't stand that kind of music. I almost fell off my seat rolling in the floor laughing at her.

First Duet.....
-
I love that song & they do it justice!!!!
-
julz
-
Hi Sheila!
-
I thought Usher was going to pick Jess, then surprised no one used a steal. Hi julz, hi sheila. So sad that his mom had just passed, she was there for the audition, Vedo held his composure well.
-
I enjoyed the song and the duet...LUKE.....
-
Blake is a smart man
Hi Karen..
-
-
Blake knows talent and drive, I'm thinking Luke is going to pick Usher though.
-
Hi Karen!!!!
LOL! Sheila!!!
Blake it is!!!! -
Whew I was wrong on that, I'm so glad he picked Blake, he will be too.
-
This show makes me happy....
-
ME TOO! It also makes me want to pay attention!
-
When you watch it, the sincerity and passion just takes over your soul. Savannah was spectacular for a 17 yr. old, Jackie was so gracious in what she said to Blake. Voices are just great.
-
Exactly
And i need one of those Blake's hugs...♥
-
sheila, I'll take whatever of that hug is left over!!! Grown woman swooning here.
-
Karen...He has enough hugs for everybody.....
-
Two hours of unreal entertainment and joy, singers were fantastic. Always pure joy to spend this time with you ladies, see you tomorrow, is it only one hour tomorrow?
-
Everything Karen said.....
Tomorrow 1 hour=YES
Good Night Ladies
♥
-
I like two hours, even three!!!
-
Hi again sorry I zoned out again! I watched the end but got sleepy! I would have to get on a chair to get one of his hugs! Hehehe! I'm really short!
-
Hi ladies, once again I'm a day late watching the voice. But I had to baby sit so she had to watch cartoons on one tv and I had to watch DWTS. So I dvr'd the voice. LOL!! Loved DWTS! Kellie Pickler (my American Idol) and Derek Hough were simply amazing. If you get a chance try and watch on you tube or ABC channel today. It's like now we know the truth... Not only can Kellie sing country music ("WOW" she's good) but she can dance!!!!
-
Really liked the songs and battles last night. The song choices are so much better than those on Idol, and everything isn't a ballad around here. My favorite moment was when Shakira went "strategic" to keep Monique. I don't think any of the guy judges would have saved her and Shakira knew someone would snap Luke up. Wish Jacqui could have stayed...although she was not the stronger singer, I would have enjoyed hearing more of her voice another week.
-
I really liked the last guy that had the long dreads and was white... he sings on beal street and has a family. He went up against the duo (?) and the duo was chosen by Adam. I was really hoping someone would choose him. I loved him.
I'm afraid this is going to be a very hard year to choose unless some of them start messing up or choosing songs badly. Right now I simply don't have a very favorite one yet. I like so many of them.
-
Renee', I liked that guy too, I think his name was Patrick, I was surprised no one used a steal to save him. I liked the difference in his voice, I was surprised Adam didn't chose him over the duo, Midas Whale, is that what they call themselves?
-
I liked Patrick too. Not exactly fair when a single singer batles a duo, is it? Apples and oranges there.
Will we ever hear the Swan Brothers vs. the Morgan Twins, or how long does the battling go on?
