Too, too funny Psycho -- just a few of the un-believable things. Here's a bit of another. How the WORM turns....not to make light in any way of the tragedy but Gov. Rick Perry is already putting his hand out it seems for federal funding due to the most recent events. Hypocrite with a capital. I feel badly for all those people in Texas....they will be glad right now they didn't succeed when they first brought it up after President's reelection. Athena....your right. Let them all go and do for themselves.

Now where did I leave that banana?

Rick Perry's a political animal, like so many others. Doubtless he was hoping this request for federal aid would fly under the radar.
I have no problem sending my tax dollars to help people in Texas. Or anywhere else in the US. We are the UNITED states. We help each other in times of need.
-
CE, I probably could have stated that a bit better. I would never deny help to anyone. Help has been my middle name for a really long time, but was wondering how many could or would see their govenors and some of the proposed ideas in a different light when something tragic happens. You never know exactly what is in store and what your needs may change too at some time.

I see there are fellow psychos on this thread. LOVE the pics!

^ Me in my deflector beanie. Bad vibes about this week.
-
E---I agree with you. The USA is the first to help any nation in crisis, so I would hope we would still help Texas even if they had seceded from the nation.
This has been a rough week all around...Boston bombings, Texas explosion, Oklahoma tornados, earthquakes in Japan and Iran. You just sit and wonder, what's next? Not if, but where, when, & what???
Paula -
Yes, indeed, many ominous happenings this week, natural and man-made disasters.
-
Craze-E, love the hat! That would make a great chemo beanie.
-
Mine is better than yours! hahahaaha!

-
Dash it all, bluepsycho! You win again!
-
E - I gotta have that hat!!!!! GOTTA. The flying Spagetti Monster will be so jealous.
Ok, My dear PsychoBlue, I know what we should do to celebrate your new name, we should gather our Spangled Scooters in a Circle, Enjoyful will lead us, and then when we are in a Perfect Circle we should all take out our copies of Heidi and pretend we're Shirley Temple ( da movie stah) and take turns reading aloud....or as things are so pleasant now on BCO, we could add my favorite Agatha Christie: "And then there were none..."
I'm open to suggestions - they just have to be vocally reason-able - no big woids...
I adore the pic of the doggies with their puppies....
I'm not gonna mention Boston - too close to home, my family, my school days, just terrifying what the world is today...HUGS to all my deliciously psycho friends, so good to be among folks like me

The explosion in Texas was not a natural disaster but from a private business. Don't businesses have insurance to cover the damages from their incidents?
I have no problem helping the victims ... but I do wonder why Perry is grabbing at federal money so quickly. He is one of the proponents of states handling disasters themselves and the Texas Senators even voted against aid for Hurricane Sandy victims. This would seem to be a prime situation for them to prove it is possible to do their 'everybody go it alone' thing. Or at least to take the time to figure out if maybe they could use state resources instead.
Trying to catch up on the Boston happenings. The authorities have done excellent work in finding the bombers so quickly. Much as I cringe a little at all the 'security cameras' out there, they are vital when something like this happens.
-
and on the reflector....

-
I saw that they are treating the explosion in Texas as a crime scene. I thought it was an accident. so confused......
-
He's grabbing at our money because it's there and it's available, and he knows that most Americans are "soft" (likely to help in emergencies).
Just watching the bombers' Uncle on TV. Very passionate. Begging for the remaining bomber to turn himself in.
-
TX explosion a crime scene? That's news to me. Wonder if there is any association with the DA killers.
Love seeing the latest in aluminum hat designs! Here's one for the family pug:

Well darn! All these years I've thought it was stuff like conspiracy theories and stockpiling guns and ammunition, etc. that were psycho. Now I find out it is really puppies, kittens and flowers that are the real signs. Rattles my worldview it does.
