Think I'll stick to flowers and furry friends! Some people are so nucking futs!

-
Blue - some of the comments after the YouTube are hysterical. There's an oversupply of idjuts. Sell idjuts.
Really - some people actually LISTEN to people like that - really?????????

Anyone watch, listen to the INterfaith Service in Boston this morning - beautiful, truly inspiring. Our President spoke, and he was eloquent, as expected. I think we are blessed to have his leadership - love, love hearing him speak. Deval Patrick was good too, but all were in the shadows compared to President Obama.

That was a horrible explosion in Texas. Was glad to read that they had already started evacuating people after the initial fire started but before the explosion. I was really wondering how they were keeping the death estimates as low as they were in view of all the destroyed homes and apartments. This has turned out to be an altogether really bad week

Some of the stuff DH has been sent to 'specialists' for have struck me as no more than sharing the wealth by passing patients around within the hospital medical system his doctor belongs to. His PCP is more than capable of handling most of them. In fact, after the 'specialists' have done their fancy tests and found nothing he ends up back with the PCP. We are being played IMO.
Lots of storm threats here today. So far it has all missed us. Another batch on the way so not all clear yet.

Oh Blue, I just love that pic of Succulents! I spent the last 2 months planning my succulent container gardens with these type of pictures. They are so beautiful all planted together. Thank you for sharing them.

You're welcome Paula.

Talk about a Bozo Brigade, Blue. I sit there and watch a guy who looks as though he is ready to jump out of his chair and take cover. It is a most remarkable thing to see as someone is so heavy into the belief of what they are saying. All those bridges you might have forgotten about....we can sell them now.
Hoping our rain will let up soon. We were under tornado threat for a few hours today, but hae come through it all. We live by a huge, huge man made drinking water lake which took place back in the late 40's. This means all water from anywhere around is set up to drain right to the lake.
Fortunately, since it was that long ago....we stand fairly tidy. All the drainage comes out to two big ravines...one on each side of my house. I probably have one of the "driest" places in the entire city and county. Once in awhile I choose right. Sure glad I chose to move here.
Sun...I am so with you. I did hear most of the President's speech. I was at work but had the t.v., on. He was VERY eloquent and I feel must have raised the spirits of so many of the Bostonians with what he said. I was proud of him and proud of Boston.

I saw a comparison on one news show yesterday. In 20 years or so, approximately 3000 Americans died from terrorists. Meanwhile more than 900,000 people have died from gun violence in the approximately same period of time. So we take off shoes to be searched and can't carry water when flying on a plane. I couldn't walk my elderly parents to their flights after 9-11 because I didn't have a ticket and I couldn't go through security. And god forbid your name should be a terrorist watch list. Someone had used the late Ted Kennedy's name as a alias at one point making it difficult for the well-know Senator to get on a flight. But I can just walk into a gun show, show no i.d. to enter and buy an AK-47 with no check of my name, no check on anything. I could hand over cash with no questions and get an assault rifle.
Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.

Jackie - good poster - the NRA is evil
-
I agree Suz. Like Brad Pitt said in the movie "KIlling Them Softly". F. O. and give me the money!
-
So maybe we wouldn't be any worse off if all those rape apologists had ben elected to congress last November. This group of mofos already prefers guns to the lives of children - what worse criminal act is there than that?
(Only slightly sarcastic)
I don't hate the NRA so much as the out-of-touch male and fermale prostitutes and cowards who sell their senate seats to them.

Ok, folks, this has NO chance of prospering, but I couldn't resst. I created a petition on change.org to repeal the 2nd amendment. The petition is to congress (buahuahua!!) If you are interested, go here:
https://www.change.org/petitions/us-congress-repeal-the-2nd-amendment-3
This should not affect the legality of gun ownership. It simply stops making weapons more important than people.
-
Athena ... it seems you will have to petition to change the Bible also. Just saw yet another idiot screaming about his GOD given right to his guns. I don't even attempt to point out that they may be a tad bit confused. It's hopeless

-
How about we just amend the 2nd amendment? So that the well-regulated militia part is in all-caps, bold, and has its own YouTube video?
-
I know it's hopeless....
We have repealed amendments before. We have accomplished the hopeless before. I have never not voted for what I believe in because it was hopeless. Otherwise Obama might not be our president.
OK, off to watch Project Runway....
-
I have been up most nights for the past two weeks with excruciating back and arm pain due to exercise (stupid me), so I get to watch the interesting documentaries that cable delivers at that hour. Tonight, a review of the tragedy at Waco, Texas, for which I blame David Koresh and the stupidity of his fellow fanatics. Poor little children. Timothy MacVeigh and Terry Nichols disagreed.
So what is the solution? Have the industrialized, coastal states secede from the union so that we can enter the 21st century along with other civilized nations? Let the former slave and bison gun-loving anti-family values states which depend on our largesse starve? Let them eat bibles!
Off to watch paid programming while I attempt to massage the pain away. I do not respond well to pain meds, so although I just took 4 naproxen sodiums I am not hopeful.

Those who live in the past are certain to miss the future!
Wonder who said that!

The combined IQ of SOME >>>>>>>>>>>> is less than 100! I'd rather be psychotic than dumb as a bag of hammers.
All they can do is spew anger. They are so upset Obama got re-elected they still block his every move. Its so obvious to anyone. -
