Ginger, just think of all of us right there with you, because we definitely are there in spirit. Here's hoping for the all clear and no surprises!

Hey Pocket Pals, Good Mammo! First time I have had a mammo since before 2010 that hasn't required more takes. I am really relieved. My blood work was also good and my kidney? was better than before, what ever that means.
My Dexa scan was very good, not as good as two years ago but still very good. My mom had two broken hips and a shoulder so I was concerned and am relieved. I could hear you all cheering.
I am to start on tamoxofen now. Onc thinks I may tolerate it better, I hope so, I would like to be able to take this helper to keep away recurrance. I will give it serious time and try to continue.
My Onc referred me to a Psychologist who works with cancer patients after they end active treatment, like me. I am just not reengaged in life, I tend to just watch tv even though there are things I would like to do. My Onc says it isn't uncommon but I know it needs to be different or I will regret it big time.
I did go to my first painting class on tuesday afternoon. I met some friendly women, all of whom are working at different levels and I am a rank beginner. My DGD liked my practice sheet, she said, "Gamma, this is beautiful!" I loved it. Now I need to keep going, it is strangely difficult for me to go anywhere at all. I'll remember to bring you all along, you would have fun watching me learn I think. I'm pretty funny.
So I had you all there last night too when I had the sleep study. 72 things attached to me since it wasnt just for sleep apnea. Wow was I a sight! I slept from about 11 PM until they awakened me at 6 AM. I used a ton of shampoo to get the goop off of me and out of my hair. It was actually a good bed and quiet room, nice tech and decent shower too. I will get the results in two weeks. The tech did tell me I didn't do anything "interesting" my husband was sad about that but hopefully my brain waves will tell them something so I stop screaming in the night. My poor husband.
I hope you all enjoyed hanging out around SCCA and U of WA Hosp, a cellist played at SCCA it was nice. She wasn't a pro and I really appreciated that she came down to play for us, it was so nice of her to think of that.
I hope my pocket pals all have lovely weekends.Ginger

Yay Ginger! That's pretty good news all round! So glad you can try the Tamoxifen and hopefully you'll do very well on it.n it sure will be interesting to find out the results of that sleep study.
My weekend so far has been very relaxing.......lol.
Love n hugs. Chrissy -
Hooray for good results - and even more so for surviving the tests. The cello player sounds wonderful.

Wonderful news, Ginger!!

This thread has been really quiet lately. I think many of us are on similar threads on the Boards and 'see' each other there. Doesn't mean I don't think of you all lots

It's been TOO quiet. Let's get it started up again! Lisa, love the camel! (Or is it a llama?)

Hi Everybody,
Today my daughter got her first job since becoming a mommy. She is a therapist and needs to become licensed in this state so the job is extra important. She needs supervision hours and only certain jobs can provide that. She is super excited. I am also excited because I will see our granddaughter every day from 3 PM until Daddy picks her up. I can see I need to adjust my schedule so that I am here to pick her up at 3 PM. I also need to get in a supply of good snacks, she likes her snacks.
Today DD was reading a bi-lingual book to DGD. DGD says, "Read all the words Mommy!" DD says," I can't I don't speak Spanish." DGD " I do! SPANISH!"
DGD is 2 2/3 now.

Lisa, I immediately thought camel, but then thought maybe not. Glad you validated! Like the elephant too. (Now I AM sure of that one!)
Great news about your daughter, Ginger, and glad you'll get to see her more often. She sounds like a very smart little girl! I really enjoy DGS now that we're keeping him only 2 days/week and I take him home those days so I can see his baby brother too. Our grandchildren have a way of becoming our hearts, don't they? I can't wait until DD's baby girl gets here!

Hi all, just stopped by to say hi! We moved a month ago and I have been too busy unpacking and spending money I don't have. The new house is wonderful. And it is brand new. Other than that, no news.
-
That's a lot of news for no news, Barbara! Hope you settle easily into the new house so that you can enjoy it.
