Blue I was responsible for an ever changing org chart at work and that bird pole was pinned to the cubicle. Something about stuff flows downhill!

Infusion Monday and here it is Wednesday and I'm OK! I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. I thankful that this one didnt repeat the first one.

So that's what those GOP economic powerhouses (snark) meant when talking about the "trickle down" effect.....

Windows 8 is different and it is very hard to figure out where things are. I did figure out how to download pictures but it took me a long time. I think it is a matter of getting used to it. In some ways it is fun and the pictures in my pictures look fabulous.

Blue - loved the pics - especially the one of the Falls - as soon as I saw it, I said "I've been there".

Using an Apple at DD's - hate it!!!

The thing that drove me crazy with Windows 8 was that things seem to appear and disappear with great abandon.  I'm not looking forward to trying it again, but I'm certain that it's inevitable that I will do so.

Blue, the "dinky-winky" joke doesn't work, due to the correct use of the subjunctive.

Hope everybody has been having a great day! Blue, incredible puppy pics!! Chicky, praying you're having a better chemo experience. I've been obsessively watching the Jodi Arias trial. I know, I need to get a life, lol. Here's my cute contribution for the day.

Yorkie - I think of you everytime I drive by Jodi Arias's home town (atleast once every two weeks).

I've been reading all of the posts and pictures.  So many of us dealing with BC things - so sorry.  I can only say the best part of chemo is finishing it, or having those good weeks in between.  xxo Chickadee. E - I hope you have good days with your back.  How do you ride your boy with your back?

My memory sucks - so anything I read yesterday, is 1/2 gone, but I think Glenna, you are doing chemo too? So sorry...once again moving on to the next thing, so can't look back at the moment.

The pics - you guys have outdone yourself lately.  Blue - where was that upside down island off the coastline from - I searched and couldn't find it anywhere on the web.  The cats in the bikini - love love love it.

I don't know why, but since retiring, I've lost all interest in politics.  From politic junkie to...I might as well be watching Fox News, I know that much.  Love retirement.  Getting healthy first and foremost.

Love and only good wishes for all.

Kam, have you seen the police footage of Jodi's parents? It's so sad. They talk about how weird her behavior has always been. One moment she would be all friendly and the next moment explode. Many of Jodi's friends called her mom saying Jodi needed psychological help. She was not right. Wish they had gotten her the help she obviously needed in time.

I know what you mean about memory. It's especially hard when I have all three grandsons talking to me at the same time, like just 5 minutes ago! Sleepover tonight so I may be a basket case tomorrow!

Hmmm windows 8.....dh had it put in when he couldn't get it right.....drove himself half nuts trying to learn it, was not successful.....and then finally resorted to having it un-installed and paid to have 7 put back in.  He never listens when I say if it ain't broke....he tries to keep up with his brothers who make sure they have the latest and greatest.  I hope he learned his lesson this time.

This is the kitten that showed up out of nowhere in my yard last summer ...

The little guy was adopted by one of my daugher's friends.  Just wanted to show off what a handsome guy he has grown up to be.

On windows 8, things do seem to randomly pop up but in that way it reminds me of facebook. I think it will be a matter of getting used to it. I do see some advantages but forgot to get Microsoft Office and can't open any of the documents I had transfered until I do. That was just stupidity on my part

Jackie - "the latest and greatest" --- that's an Apple my dear!!  Yes, I'm an Apple snob, but I feel like I can say that after using PC's at work and Apples at home.  Realtime comparison.  P.S. Where do you get your poltical graphics?  Excellent my dear.

Yorkie - Her parents, especially her father, seem so far removed from what a connected to their child parent should be like.  Sounds like the most recent and most accurate diagnosis for Jodi Arias is Bipolar 2.  So sad she didn't get the help others were signaling she needed.  Wonder why it totally escaped the Defense to look into some of these dx's for Jodi.  That might get her out of a death penalty.  She surely will get first or second, no matter what.

Wabbit - love to see the kitten/adult comparison.  Beautiful cat.  I've always thought picking the kitten that fit my personal adult cat style would be such a crap shoot, so go for the adults.  Can you tell which kitten will be a cuddler, for example?? Or a talker!!

Kam...my bil has an Apple....well, he probably has more than one.  I think he keeps one in the kitchen and another in a bed room he uses for an office.

I get the pics ( most of them anyway ) from "the everlovin' gobstoppers" site.  How I got it to go onto my desk-top, I couldn't say.  In my category of computer expertise it was just a random wonderful accident.  The nice part is ever so often new pics get put on so you have a somewhat continuous supply.  I actually have three sites..ones I think my sister-in-law originally sent to me and others.  I would be hard pressed to just 'surf' and come up with most of the "good" stuff.

Not to mention that kittens are crazy little whirls of manic energy.  We go for adult cats too.  I probably would have kept that little guy though if my old lady cat hadn't been so completely opposed to the idea.

Jackie - to your last graphic.  I think about a place like Walmart.  The pay substandard wages, no healthcare.  Wages are so low, it's employees qualify for food stamps.  Where do those employees shop for food with their food stamps?  Walmart!!!  Likewise,  taxpayers pay for their healthcare, so in fact, subsidize Walmart's inability to provide health insurance to their employers.  And they, some in Congress, want us to take cuts to benefits we have paid for in light of this and other corporate welfare schemes??

    Wabbit - LOL   Loved it....:)

I've had lots of kittens and a fair number of adults.  I think it is one of those DEPENDS things.  The mother cat teaches her babies what she knows.  You can't always "know" what a kitty knows or how it may respond.  I rescued a kitty ( looked much like the gray one in the picture ) and named him Alfie.  He is a soft furry fellow now ( fixed of course as all mine are ) and he is a very loving cat with one bad habit.  At some given moment, known only to him, while you are petting him ( which he seems to really enjoy ) he will bite your finger.  I have one or two that adore lots of stroking but very much do not want to be picked up.

I know I've had better response with my cats when we had fewer of them.  Sssh, I'm down to 20 right now and praying that will be it.  It is mainly why I still work and it is a struggle to keep them going.  It was not my intent that this happen, but despite my having vet checks, spaying, shots, etc., the local no-kill shelter practically has to give their animals away.  So, I quit hoping for any empty space there......I don't put ads in the paper because there are places that would gladly take all the animals you have and would do things I don't care to talk about.  So, though I use to donate two days a week to the local shelter, I gave that up, went to work, and just take care of the lovely animals that live on my property.

Anyway, it has been my experience that for the most part you will get more loving responses generally if you have less felines in the household.  I also do think most kittens do well if they are old enough before leaving the mother.  Both puppies as well as kitties undergo training cycles that only the mother can do.

No matter what though....I've never met a kitten or cat that wasn't for the most part adorable to me.  Good thing I have a huge affinity for them.

Jackie - I have two wonderful cats, and like you, can see the good in all, but I've seen cat behaviors that I feel lucky not to have endured.  I'm sure if I had a cat with one of those behaviors, I'd love them nonetheless.  I admire your ability to care for 20.  I think I have your tendency, to want or to care for more, but I've managed to hold it at 2.  As a friend of mine said once, who has two children...when one has two children, you really have three, the third being the relationship created between the two.  Stupid me, I thought my first cat needed a companion.  Boy was I wrong.  Years later, they've mostly worked it out (and this created a lot of stress for me and the new cat).  Now they are sleeping together (though never touching), outside together, or on my lap together! (What a pain the latter is, though I love it for about 5 minutes).

Once I considered a 3rd cat and the Vet advised, the younger the better, i.e. small kitten for acceptance by my dominent girl.  Then I recalled her at the shelter, down on the floor, eating kibble, while almost without looking, batting a young kitten across the room.  Ofcourse, she is the one who responds to kitten noises, so I use that to get her in the house!  It's a conundrum (she had 2 kittens before I adopted her).  My other cat is feral and was human fed from 7 weeks on.  She had to be tamed.  Two of her siblings couldn't be tamed.  For some reason she is both a baby and a lover, but with many immune issues.   And I thought a feral mother teaches her kittens not to meow.  Apparently she forgot that lesson!

Sheesh, as I write this, ms dominent is moving ms baby (not their names) off her favorite perch!  The paw, not sure of the claw, came out.  Now she's chasing her and intimidating.  Sure enough, the Feliway is empty.  Can always tell when the bottle runs dry.

Enjoying a couple of days at the beach during my chemo break. Yes, Kam, I'm doing chemo. They tell me for life so I guess that it will be a very long time! Right now (since december) I'm on taxol, 3 weeks on, one week off. It hasn't been too bad so far. Screws up my sleep cycles because of Benadryl and decadron so I am always tired. Loved all the pictures. I'm allergic to cats but love watching them. This morning there was a big orange cat sitting down below the dock on one of the pilings, chasing it's tail. I was afraid it would fall into the water but it was having a great time! Life is good!!
