I'm just like you. I like to walk just need to get out to do it but always feel refreshed after. If the weather would just warm up a little! I plan on doing a yoga class once a week. I'm no athlete though.
-
Down one, posting today because I will be having some 'fun in the sun' in Arizona on Wednesday. I'd like to tell you that I will eat like a bird, but you, of course, wouldn't believe me!
I do promise to walk and walk and walk......
-
Have a GREAT time Ruth!! Would love to see a little more sun and warmth! Enjoy!
-
Enjoy yourself, Ruth!
-
Have fun walking and eating (in that order), Ruth!
Maintaining again.
-
Down .4
Am quite happy with these small losses, because I really have not been even trying to modify my diet! I have ramped up my excercising - and am actually enjoying it!!
Now to get through Easter!!!
-
Down .7. Not much but better than going the other way.
-
Holding steady. Was down briefly the day after the steroid crash but back up again to the same level as last Weds. Looking forward to the end of chemo (April 4th) and the hope for less weight rollercoastering.
-
Lost one. Yay! (Small cheer, because I've lost that same "one" several times and it always finds its way home again....)
But I also had my 6 week post exchange checkup on Monday and my PS said "no restrictions." So I biked 16 miles this morning!!! Skinny butt, here I come!! ;-) -
Blasted Easter Candy!
-
down .5 to 161.5 Done in by a tub of homemade rice pudding a friend gave me - so being down anything is great! Good luck everyone holding the course through Easter weekend!
-
Cindyl,
Ha!!!! Totally agreeing with you! I'm sure I would have lost more if a few Cadbury eggs had not followed me home and forced me to eat them..... ;-) -
They got you too? Sneaky little critters aren't they?
-
Stayed the same 132.5. Relieved because it was up earlier in the week. DGS not allowed candy, so Easter might not be treacherous.
-
down .1 just a smidge but a smidge in the right direction LOL
Ruth, I was so tuckered out after walking 90 mins Sat that I crashed on the couch around 4 pm. DH woke me up when he got home at midnight. I'd had 8 hours sleep so *bing* AWAKE.
Enjoy your vacation! Eat, drink, be merry and soak up some extra warmth for me.
-
Hi all. Missed Wednesday. Was down .2 but seems it just went to visit a neighbor and came right back. Oh well. Will keep trying.
Welcome jgbarrett and Wren44, don't worry about how much you can do with exercise, as long as you do something, however small, each day. Like ruthbru said, join the Let's post our daily exercise thread as there are all levels (and even slouchers like me occasionally) over there.
-
Hi, I'm back. Had a great time, gorgeous weather. I was outside all the time; walked a ton, but apparently ate even more as I came home with three extra pounds!
I have to have some major goodness around here as I have a checkup Wednesday & don't think I can refuse to step on the scale.....
-
I wasn't an angel for Easter and am up 400 grams.
-
Dark chocolate Easter candy and high carb. Easter dinner did me in. Up a lb and a half but will take them off. AGAIN!
-
Happy Spring Ladies,
Charlotte here, I'm back! I've been away for several weeks. Major upper jaw bone infection from abscessed tooth. Infection spread and became stubborn and systemic! After 5 rounds of several antibiotics and a re-done root canal I am finally recovering. Oral health department at my medical center has gotten to the source of the infection and I am very grateful!
I've done almost no exercise for the last 12 weeks and eating has not been great either! Discouraged with weight gain, but ready to return to the land of the living and rejoin the battle of the bulge. Afraid to step on the scale!
Tracking food today and will water walk in therapy pool.
Charlotte -
Up 1.5 pounds. I'm blaming Easter ~ Halloween's cute but just-as-evil sister.
I'm a mama who cannot resist chocolate and pastries. Never have. Probably never will.
-
down two of the gained three
-
Date night, Easter candy, daughter's birthday dinner (Chinese takeout plus ice cream cake)...but held steady at same as last week. I'm calling it a win!
-
Up 1.5 to 134. Not really surprised. Two days driving plus mexican food and uh chocolate are to blame. (Not me)
-
hi ladies and welcome back Charlotte! Glad you got to the root of the problem.
(sorry, couldn't resist... happy to hear you're better, what an ordeal!)
Up one this morning. Have been exercising but not eating the healthiest choices.
Took the leftover Easter candy to work and it's all gone so will do better next week.
-
Hi, hey actually made it here on a Wednesday. Same weight as last week - I'll take it since I've been doing okay on Wednesday and then get to Friday, ELAB thread, and I'm up - frustrating.
CharlotteME - ouch. Don't worry about the lbs as you had plenty to deal with.
A big shout-out to everyone.
-
Amazingly I'm down .5 to 161 - had a weekend of eating and partying and easter candy. We threw out the rest of the candy the other night, and hope to get back on track with healthy eating. Would love to break through the 160 barrier in time for the wedding.
-
Easter candy is the work of the evil one. Obviously. I'm cycling my calories. That's my story.
-
Good luck, pat01, in breaking 160.
I'm back down to 158 today. Yesterday I put too much chia seed in my green smoothie and my stomach objected. So will need to scale back on the chia and increase gradually. I have so much fiber in my diet, including legumes, that I didn't think a new fiber would bother me. But I was wrong!
Tomorrow is a barbecue outing with dh's woodworkers' guild. It's a potluck and he requested I make mac and cheese! I plan to try to eat in moderation and not zoom back up to the 160's. I do get tired of losing the same lbs over and over.
-
Down .9. I'll take it.
