Wednesday Weigh In
Comments
-
Well, just a 2nd post this week because I've been so crabby about not losing pounds or losing the same 2-3 over and over. This morning I measured!! I AM losing inches! Yay!! Good motivation to stick with my exercise plan. It's working!
But I still hope the pounds will go away eventually... -
Inches are even better! Congrats!
-
Muscles weigh more than fat (and I am not even making that up!).
-
AHA!!!
THAT'S my problem.....too muscular!! Lol.
Thanks for that reminder, ruth. Hopefully the muscles will start burning some fat soon.
Plus, who knows how much these implants weigh??? (Ok. I do know. But I'd like to pretend the last 5 are their fault!)
Happy, healthy weekend, everyone! -
Got rid of all the chocolate and am down 400 grams.
-
held even, which is good because it is cold here and I have been eating too many comfort foods (like scalloped potatoes two nights in a row....big helpings and scrapping out the bottom of the pan!)
-
Lost 1 lb to 133. Down from last week but still up from 2 weeks ago.
-
Also held steady this week. Like ruthbru eating comfort food (read 'junk') because of allergies and hearing problems due to wax buildup. Seeing ENT tomorrow to get ears drained. Plans to increase my exercise routine but need to move beyond planning and into doing!
-
another steady Eddie here.
good luck tomorrow patoo!
-
Up 2, but I'm blaming water retention from my last Taxol on Thursday. I want the needle to go the other direction soon!
-
I'm still in see-saw mode, gaining and losing the same 3 lbs, depending on how the weekend goes. I played golf on Tues. and Thurs. and the activity really helps with weight control.
-
Holding steady. :-(
Biked 20 miles this morning and have really upped my exercise in the last week, so I'm thinking suddenly someday I will step on the scale and be down 8!! Lol.
Either way I am feeling stronger and healthier and more firm. Rather than thinking I need to lose 15 pounds I'm going to just focus on dropping 1or 2 pant sizes. -
Dulcigirl, impressive biking!
-
Maybe....but it's inside, recumbent, and I was watching a hilarious movie. (Parental Guidance...very cute!!) i think I could have kept going but the movie ended. Lol.
-
Did my April weigh-in at WW this morning and was down .4 lb from my weigh-in in March! So I'm "legal" and don't have to pay and get free E-tools. Tonight dh and I will share a big ole ribeye steak to celebrate!
I wore a pair of shorts to the meeting (very light in weight!) that I haven't been able to wear for the last year. So that was a morale booster. The shorts will fit even better if/when I drop another 3 to 4 lbs.
-
Yay for freebies, Carole!
Holding steady here. I won't complain. Maintaining is good. Just want to lose a bit of belly.
-
Down .5 to 160.5 - getting so close to the 150's I can almost taste it!
-
Hey, all. Just found this thread. I figure I can come here and be mega honest every week. Frankly, weight loss might be a not happening thing for me, but not gaining weight would be good. I am on Herceptin and I hear that some folks gain weight while on Herceptin. My hope was to at least lose a few pounds so that the next time I have to go through chemo, I won't have quite as many pounds to drag up and down the stairs. That part sucked.
I gain about 24 lbs going through chemo (part water weight, part pure fat). Right now I'm down about 14 lbs from that ugly high in June 2012. I seem to stick at about 212 to 214 lbs (I got no shame).
Currently, I am doing my best to simply eat less but eat healthy. I was tracking all my food and exercise via MyFitnessPal, but am on break from that. If I find my weight going back up, I will be right back on to MyFitnessPal. Steroids were a joy. I hate the things. Next time I have chemo, I am seriously considering not taking the steriods. That crap just made it worse for me. Plus, I looked like freaking weeble, to which I'd say I'm a weeble and I wobble but I don't fall down.
Nice to meet you all.
Susan

I'm finally down .5 to my previous low of 132.5. I'm never celebrating Easter again. It's sort of discouraging to be within 2.5 of my goal and realize I still have a layer of fat.
-
Congratulations, Wren
-
Thank you. I think my highest weight was 185. They nailed me with impaired fasting glucose. I got down to 150 by counting carbs and asking if that brownie was going to be worth an insulin shot later. I was 144 at surgery in Feb 2012. Now my DD is facing the same battle except that she already has type 2 diabetes.
-
I might have lost 1 pound this week. I actually can't remember what I was last week other than not where I used to be! But I have been losing inches so I'm going to keep the faith that all of my exercising will pay off eventually. Still doing the Callanetics DVD a couple of times a week and last week biked a total of 62 miles!! For someone who loves reading and crocheting that is a humongous accomplishment. :-)
I sure hope next week I can report the scale is finally going in the right direction! -
hi ladies and welcome Susan! Maintained again this week. Still hovering around 170, which for my encouragement and yours is down from 200. So I've lost 30 and have 10 more to go. Sure would like to see 169 point something again. :-)
-
I was up at the crack of dawn making macademia nut cookies for a co-worker's birthday. Forgot to weigh then, and don't dare weigh now, as I ate a large number of the forementioned cookies. Yikes!
-
Didn't come on yesterday because i knew it would not be pretty. Sweets sort of took over for a few days and I didn't fight them. Have been exercising though so maybe that kept some of the damage away. We'll see for ELAB thread tomorrow (but I'm not getting good vibes for that).
Welcome gritgirl. This is a nice thread for holding ourselves accountable without judgment.
Let's try to see less of eachother next week, shall we?
-
Welcome, gritgirl. Hope you won't have to be making the steroid choice anytime soon.
I'm seeing 400 grams less of me! Trying to get ready for a trip to the Cote d'Azur (about an 8 hour drive away). I've got to lose now for all the eating I'll be doing then.
-
Not likely to be able to do this again next week, I keep losing and gaining the same two pounds. I down two pounds. I gained 24 pounds during treatment so I've finally lost 16 pounds of that gain. But I really, really want a donut. Bad.
-
Down two pounds.
FINALLY!!!!!! -
Congrats, Dulcigirl and Heidihill. And have a fabulous trip, Heidihill.
-
Up 1.5 to 162. And I am not surprised, been a bad girl. It has been a cold spring here, I think once warm weather hits it will be much easier to be a good girl - just hold the threat of bathing suits over my head!
