I have a praise. After three months off work I will take a part time position with the High School district being an interpreter for one of their Adult school students. I am scared and nervous but I think this may be just where I am supposed to be.
-
Oh Joni I am so sorry about Ruby.I went through similar DXwith my old kitty named Gump. When his quality of life declined badly my DH took him.I just couldn't handle it myself.Prayers and (Hugs)
-
Thank you Meece & Mum.
-
I have a furbaby on her last breaths too. In fact we check her breathing all the time...sigh. It is such a loss of innocent life! As for Rachel, she's a strong girl but will still need Mommy hugs! Please keep us posted, your family is in my prayers.

Hey Ladies: those of you who are on the other threads know, but i sure could se some prayers, if you would be so kind.. I guess the long term kind..
I've had, a "minor" heart attack two weeks ago, that they didn't take seriously, but should have.. then. a stress test, that I PASSED! and two days later..
a week ago today, a massive coronary. they told me I only had 20 mins to spare, when the put the stents in! Pretty scarey stuff!
I told the ambulance driver I have my dnt with me, so drive fast; and he did hahaha
Anyway, Im allergic to the dye they had to injject in the heart for surgery, so i've also had a stroke, to top it all off..
Right now, things look a little bleak, and i don't rea;;y kknow WHAT God has in mind.. we never do though, do we?
I know one of my sons was suppossed to go to prison today, and he didn't. so i was suppossed to be here praying for him,, for sure!
I try to "keep prayed up" I don't need energy for that! thanks for all your love and support. Its sadly missing here IRL.. But God is Good, and I'm ready to see Marybe whenever He;s ready..or not..
I know how much our pets mean to us: my little man peed and peed he was so happy to see me after a week, and Joni, I'm so Glad yor dog is okay. They mean the workd to us.
In the middle of it all, the dye they unjected in the heart to do the surgery I'm allergic to: so, I had a little stroke, as well.
When i'm a bit better, they'll do therapy, my speak is really garbled, and on some days, the keys on the computer don't make sense... so, I write when they do...
You ladies keep my faith up, and that's all we need, right.. just the faith of a mustard seed! Most days I can at least muster THAT much up!!love to all. thanx! 3jays

Lord, here & now I ask your for your healing touch on 3jays & her current health crisis. Guide the doctors & medical personnel on her care & keep her close inside your loving arms! You are our God and we give praise & honor to you the only true & Living God.
-
3jays,
Prayers going up for you.
God bless you,
LaDonna
-
Amen and Amen
-
Wow, that was quite the week, 3jays. Lifting you up in prayer right now for continued guidance and for God's presence and healing. Keep getting on when you can and let us know how you are doing.
-
3jays, please know that are prayers ARE "in real life" for you!!! We may not be in front of your, but our prayers are making their way to you, the fact that you are typing to us is proof!!
-
Dear Father,
Please be with your child, Cherie during this uncertain time. Be with her doctors and guide thier hands. May you show yourself in your special ways. Be with and comfort her family and friends and may your light shine through her faith and her life. Thank you for her witness to others. Amen

I have a praise.
Matt asked his GF to marry him and she said yes. She is a good Christian woman and I feel that they have a good foundation to the marriage.
Between "baby Whooo" and DH's daughter having a baby in Aug. and the impending marriage of Matt, I have two grandkids and five on the way!
-
Congrats on the engagement Matt. This isn't the gal that was in the picture last year, right? So you are going to have 7 grandkids soon???????
-
I don't think I've ever posted this one's photo. Yep, I have two grandsons on the ground and 5 grandchildren on the way! Doubt I'll ever be able to say that again!
-
I would like to life up Elimar in prayer tonight. ATomorrow she undergoes the surgery for this most recent cancer.
Father in Heaven, please be with Elimar at this time. I am sure she is frightened and could use comfort right about now. Please send her that comfort and help her to realize how real and how present You are. Guide her doctors and their technology for favorable results. In Your name I pray, Amen.
-
-
I have also been praying for Eli hope we hear soon.
-
Finally heard from elimar and she is doing fine as can be for what she just went through. Home, as well!
-
Good to hear. Thanks, Barbe.

Praying for all of you everyday and holding you in the light. Still working 12 hour shifts and my body hates me being on my feet all night but I have lost the 40 pounds I gained a few years back!
MY DD is 12 weeks pregnant with twins!!! Sam will be almost 3 when they arrive. Please keep her in your prayers I worry because twins bring their own risks to both themselves and the Mommy. We are so happy and I never ever thought I would even get to be a Grandma (Momo is what Sam calls me) now I will have 3!
I took my last Arimidex a month ago and praise God I feel so much better, hardly any hot flashes and am sleeping better too. Just a little scary not to be on any tx. anymore but I just couldn't do another 5 years.
I wish we could all go to lunch together wouldn't that be fun!
Love and Hugs,
Linda
-
Congratulations on the twins! I will certainly remember them all in prayer. PLease take care of yourself and don't gettoo run down.
I know what you mean about thinking you'd never be a grandma. I have two grandchildren with 5 on the way. In six months, DS will marry and FDIL has 3 children. DHs daughter is execting in August and my DS and his wife are scheduled to have their 2nd two weeks from tomorrow.
DIL had a lifethreatening case of PreEclampsia last time and has been watched carefully this time. Praise the Lord she has made it to 38 weeks and IF the baby came now it would be in good shape. Also, she has had no signs of preeclampsia so we are very thankful.
What are the chances of you coming out to California for lunch???
You know, I'd like that too! -
May I join you? I've been active on these threads since Sept 11, when I was dx. I recognize some of early postings as hymns from my childhood, and I read them today and was very comforted! I was glad to open this discussion board and find those words.

It's still been a struggle for me even though my tx ended (rads) end of May last year. I face a BMX/recon still, and I'm considered "high risk" which is a worry at times, even though I know I'm being watched over by God.
Hugs
Claire from No. Az

Welcome Claire. Feel free to come here anytime, post prayer requests, praises, youtube videos of songs, lyrics, poems- whatever seems appropriate at that moment.
-
I join Eph in wlecoming you, Claire.
I have found great comfort in the friendships developed here. Thank you all once again, ladies.
-
It's Saturday - the day after Good Friday & the day before the Resurrection. I wonder sometimes at what I would have been doing had I lived then. Would I have been a follower (I certainly hope so) and if so, what would today have looked like?
Thank you God for sending your Son to take my sin. I am so undeserving! You are my King!
-
Thank you ladies. I feel much calmer just thinking of what I'll find on this thread. Right now I'm looking forward to taking my 83 y.o. mom to church tomorrow for Easter Sunday and then lunch afterward. I'm grateful to be here, on this earth, and to be able to have my mom still here, too.
We'll sing that great Easter hymn with the line "Up From the Grave He Arose"; I love that from my childhood although the real title escapes me now (chemo brain
)Happy Easter, all.
-
Up From the Grave He Arose
1. Low in the grave he lay, Jesus my Savior, waiting the coming day, Jesus my Lord!Refrain: Up from the grave he arose; with a mighty triumph o'er his foes; he arose a victor from the dark domain, and he lives forever, with his saints to reign. He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!
2. Vainly they watch his bed, Jesus my Savior, vainly they seal the dead, Jesus my Lord! (Refrain)
3. Death cannot keep its prey, Jesus my Savior; he tore the bars away, Jesus my Lord! (Refrain)
