Meece, are you in (a, "the") valley? Sounds nice...can you please put some dry warm air in a can and send it this way??
The question was asked 'is it possible to get a good piece of corned beef' and the answer is no. i did not cook this year so DH got deli slices and made sandwiches. One year I cooked two corned beef steaks in the crock pot and I put them in the night before and they were ready for lunch on SPD. But I won't eat it.
Chris, you mentioned Excedrin...it is possible that it could keep you awake from the caffeine. I hope you have kissed your headache g'bye by now.
My therapist/friend says that if you have to deal with people and you don't feel like it, treat it like "practice" for not reacting ... it could be a game...try not to be offended by rude people...if you wait a minute, they're gone! Good luck...you'll soon be a pro.
I totally agree that really sick people shouldn't be in pharmacies.Hi Ducky, Sandy, Sheila, Deb, Linda, Diane...and anyone else here...
All snow is gone here...Happy first day of Spring

Hi Joan!
-
Good Morning!
-
Congrats on the 2 years, Ducky - wishing you many more also. You reminded me - my surgery (1st of 2) was 4 yrs ago today - time flies.
Yesterday went ok. Busy - but somehow it was a long day-and it was only 4 hrs. I hope it seemed long because I wasn't busy at first and next time time will pass more quickly. Or maybe because I was so nervous? Not that that is going to go away - so much to learn. Customers were all very nice and my coworkers were good about seeing I was stuck and coming over before I had to find someone to interrupt.
Yeah- I always hesitate to take the Excedrin at bedtime, but I'm usually tired enough to fall asleep - it's the waking up at 4 and not going back to sleep that is my problem. I see the commercials for Intermezzo and want some.
So Sheila - you were referee yesterday? I hope things have calmed down and people aren't mad anymore.
Corned beef is in the crockpot...hope it doesn't turn out too fatty...I will have to let "D"H know you have confirmed you can't buy a good piece so he doesn't think it's just me doing it wrong. Not that he would ever say anything.

Good Morning...
♥
-
Morning TOL - especially Valjean, haven't seen you for a while
I didn't make corned beef this year either - usually we get the best meats at Costco, perhaps because we are in Costco headquarters back yard (figuratively). I'll get mine at the deli if I want it.
Chris - my daughter's has had migraines for years. One thing all the headache specialists were adamant about was getting Excedrin out of her life completely. Partially because of the caffeine, but also because of another ingredient it is known to be the cause of rebound migraines. Do you have migraine prescription?
Sheila - don't answer the phone again until you feel like it
In three more weeks, I will go to hold my little Shelby again. She didn't seem to know me o Skype - of course, I know she did and was distracted but it just adds to my distaste for skype comunication.
-
Migraines are horrible! My DS gets them alot. I feel so bad for him. I used to get them and they suddenly stopped when I went off birth control. hmmmmmmm
Got the results of my shoulder MRI today. I have had pain since about a month after I stopped radiation 4.5 years ago. Sometimes the pain is a 15 on a scale of 1-10. I have seen doctors who tell me it's nothing. Always scared it was cancer. It is not. I have arthritis, bursal surface fraying, tendonosis, and a tear in my labrum from 12 oclock to 9 oclock, which apparently is pretty big. So glad it's not in my head and not cancer!
I hope the 3 weeks fly by and Shelby is in your arms again!

Linda.....don't do anything you should not do with the arm......it will tear more....been there 2 times and surgery for rotator cuff......tough surgery, but the pain will end...mine did.....now, if they can do it arthoscopically that is walk in the park........open surgery is tough......one day at a time, but use the arm, but don't over do it.......hugs.

Good Night...♥

Yes, Joan, THE valley.
Worked today and will go back tomorrow. We are taking off Friday and heading to the Bay area for my birthday. Only a 48 hour trip but it should be fun.

I'm always here when everyone is gone........
Hi, Hi, Hi everyone!!!!
Skimmed through the past postings ~
Diane ~ thanks for the shout-out. I have suffered from migraines for years. They're awful. I wonder what the ingredient is that is known to be a cause of rebound migraines in Excedrin. I have taken so much of that over the years - and have had many, many rebound headaches. I have really limited myself over the past several months, try to take only one Excedrin or Tylenol (have to watch the liver on that one, right?) Excedrin will keep me awake at night & omg, the stomach upset is terrible. Lately when I have taken a pain reliever (over-the-counter one), I take a few pinches of Special K along with it to help with the stomach which has worked. Those headaches are debilitating.
Linda ~ I'm sorry for your pain in the shoulder, so glad you found out exactly what it is. And, Thank God, it is not cancer! Shoulder pain is painful - DH majorly tore his rotator cuff bad, was in lots of pain for a good year/year & a half, had surgery & it still bothers him at times especially when there is a change in the weather coming.
Sheila, dear sister/friend. I love the pictures you have posted in your future homeland. I have been wanting to tell you how happy I am that you are again able to see your very likeable MO again. I still don't care for mine; I will be seeing her April 5 for my six-month Onc check-up. (anxiety steadily building) I am a bit scared to find out the results of my TM's, had blood-work done today. (they went up slightly last time)
And having written the above, I have now forgotten what I skimmed & wanted to make comments on... dang!
Sandy, hope you are doing well.
Joan (how ya doin?), ducky (congrats on your 2-years!), Chris (best wishes on your new job), Meecie (I marvel at your energy!) and to everybody else that I have missed, a warm hello.
I know I haven't posted here in a while..... A couple of my sister/friends are going through a hard time right now & I have had them on my mind a lot...
Love you all so much & I appreciate your friendship more than you know. Like ducky says, "You all are the best thing this cancer brought to me."
