Good, then I was right......why cancer scares them is their maternal grandmother died of colon, Dad pancreatic, , so I guess I was the "The Great White" hope, then bam, hit me....on the in-law side a lot too....esophageal, breast, stomach, and one uncle has...kidney, bladder, and prostate.....so I see where the concern comes from, but I tell them....do what you can do, and leave the rest to the good Lord. .........but if I was completely honest.......I friggin forgot too. Guess I was too busy shopping and spending time and moneywith my Nikki to even care...lol.....that's good too, right.......

Where the hell is everyone........HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOO........ARE YOU OUT THERE.........HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I'm back - we were at the cabin and I didn't bring my laptop. I was bummed out to come home this evening since it is a long weekend but DH scheduled a meeting for the morning.
All the snow is gone there which was a little disappointing - we wanted to go snowshoeing. Probably easy for me to want snow since the community does all the shoveling
Hello and goodnight ladies - more tomorrow!
-
(((TOL)))
Still have about 2 feet of snow here
Hope Jacob is better!!
-
Good night friends...
-
I used to just get the cramp in the bottom of the foot and I just had to flex it to make it stop - but then recently the top of my foot would cramp. That's when I had to stand on it to straighten my foot out. But once the calf joined in, all I could do was lie there on the couch with one hand holding my leg and the other over my mouth as I was laughing and saying, "Ow ow ow ow ow..." until it stopped. I blame Tamoxifen. I blame Tamoxifen for all my ills.
Glad you were too busy enjoying what you were doing to notice your anniversary, Ducky.
You can have our snow, Diane.
I never want to do anything, Sheila.
I hope your little boy is back to being healthy in no time, Ray!
Burning calories is the only good thing about shoveling...

Diane, I'm sure we could ship some snow out your way....plenty here to go around! Hope you had a good week end. What's next on the house for this week?
(((Ducky))) two years since dx...Yay! I agree, the kids don't need to think about it. I give them annual updates (one so far, and nobody's askin' for more) ... I thought of you when I went to Macy's today. My Macy's is only one floor and has no housewares, only clothes, a few shoes, linens, a little jewelry, and lots and lots of Clinique (which is what I bought). I tried to get a discount and handed her my Saks coupon...ha ha. I didn't have my glasses on. Anyway, I have to drive 40 minutes to get to a real Macy's which is only half as good as Roosevelt field (at least an hour).
Sheila, was watching Hawaiian Life on HGTV and thinking of you....I can't believe I haven't been to HI...why oh why? I've been to Iceland....go figure.
Linda, you must have gotten significant snow...I just had to clean off the car today (about 2"). It's really cold...but am glad the wind is gone.
Chris, so did you have to clean off the walks again?
Ray - so glad you have a smart phone...I know it is so miserable to be without your computer. Can it be fixed? Hope Jacob is doing better.
I spent the day looking for a used car on line and came to the conclusion that they all cost too much for what they are. Will try to get the dent out of my old car for now.
G'nite....no work tomorrow for me... -
Well, two weeks now and I am just starting to feel better. I actually finished off the night in my own bed. I only had to get up around midnight and take my meds. I feel like a different woman.
So sorry for all of you who are dealing with the snow. We are supposed to have another cold spell this week, but the weather this past weekend was wonderful. I worked outdoors Saturday afternoon in jeans and a sweatshirt and at times, I could have done without the sweatshirt.
Yesterday some friends came over and we sat out by the pond until dark and I had just a t-shirt on. (Well, jeans too) Today the skies outside look pure blue, and I'd like to go out to the yard and work awhile more. DH cleared an area for my garden for this year so he can get equipment into the yard to get the new pond dug. My regular garden spot is right in the entrance to the yard.
I pulled compost from my compost tumbler and it looks great. I can't wait to see how well it works.
-
Glad you are feeling better!!

Meece...garden? pond? sounds like heaven. So glad you are turning the corner to feeling better.
Sheila, where are you? I was watching Hawaii Life last nite and thinking of you.
I went to the beach late afternoon even though it is windy and cold...had to get some fresh air and walk a bit. I took a lot of pix of the sunset while DH was freezing.
Back to work in 10 hours ... -

-
I hate it when the post goes on the top........
-
Brrrr - too cold for the beach- I'm with your DH-freezing. Beach in Hawaii - now you're talkin'.
Stressful day with my mother today... sigh.
DD's bday is tomorrow. We will go to rehab and have lunch and some cake after her 9:30 class.
Tentative start date for job is 3/3 - but since I didn't get the email until today - maybe it will be delayed. Still not sure about how training will go - when, how long. Job is part time - I'm assuming 20 hrs as was mentioned in the interview. It's a start I guess. Not feeling too confident. Brain is mush after dealing with my mother (or should I say more mush than usual...) It's been 4 months since I took the certification exam...I don't remember anything... suppose I should study...
Hope you get DQ, Sandy and that the diverticulitis calms down.
-
Glad that email came Chris, it will all come back to you. Sorry about stressful day with mom.
Sandy - I heard DQ is really good for diverticulitis (NOT)
Sheila getting so much done today - yay!
I bet Linda is at the gym.
Joan - I love a fresh air walk at the beach
Hope the little guy is better today Ray.
Where is Valjean? Ducky? Granny? Deb?
-
Yesterday was another day at 70°. I spent most of it in jeans and a tank top outdoors. It was great! Getting my voice back was the highlight though. I hoed weeds and cleaned up a lot in the greenhouse. There is still a lot of stuff to do outside...always is. I am trying to get the space ready to germinate seeds for whatever I decide to grow in my garden.
I cleaned out my compost bin and was amazed to see the rich compost that had "cooked" over the winter. I put a bucket of it beside a bucket of store bought compost and mine was so much better. No chunks of wood or anything. Supposedly if I turn the compost daily, I will have the same results in just 30 days! That would be cool!
-
-
Joan, we only got about 5 inches of snow but the 50 mph winds made for huge drifts!
You will do great CHris!! Can't wait for you to start!!
70's and tank tops..................ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Like Meece said I'm wearing a tea shirt
-
Ray sorry about Jacob, it is hanging on...Ray you got a new job also, wth did I miss, see not being on here, you really do miss stuff.
Meece, working in the garden is very theraputic...
Hi..Diane!!
Shiela, always thinking of you and Hawaii.....dreaming
Joan...walking on the beach works for me even if it is cold.....
Linda, more snow, omg...
Chris, so you go got the job how cool is that (is it good)?
No DQ yet, puter is still being a PIA, think it is a memory problem, will get it next week (money issue next week) chemo tomorrow, hope the port works fine, issue last week....working on blanket for Charli (GD) almost done the one for Zander....miss talking to you guys.....weather here is cold...hate it, funeral was ok 10 min, but her grandmother died the other day about 4 days after her mother....not going to that one, it is Friday and that is a bad day, although mom-mom and Andrew day we will see if I do it, depends on how I feel....take care ladies will get back on when I can...
