1 Year- did not think i would make it
I have finally made it past 1 year since DX. Thinking back to that time in my life i was so terrified i thought i would have died by now. But apparently i am sticking around. yay
When i found out how much cancer i had i seeked out others like me and found no one in real life but here on this site i found many woman that are doing well and living long. It meant the world to me to find them to know there was hope.
I am still scared most days if i let myself think about it too much not terrified like i was. I am sure alot of that has to do with this site and all the wonderful people here. Thanks so much to everyone. I hope to help other new people here
Its weird how much your way of thinking changes within a year. I do not think i am going to die from this ever most days.
Best to all

Congrats and wishing you continued good health and it does get easier. Last night I played some pickup basketball for 2 hrs. with a bunch of friends and while I was playing I found myself saying wow what a difference a year makes! Last year this time I had no hair and I was going thru chemo and this year I'm playing basketball again...hell yeah!!

Congratulations to you! Put all of those feelings behind you, you are here today, and that is a wonderful thing!!! Wishing you so many more.

Its great to hear you all are doing good too!
I find unless you are going through this it is hard for people to understand how devastating it can be. The smallest things make such a difference in a day now.
I found just the stage 3 part was intimidating in the beginning but then i read so many ladies saying -i made it 1 year or 5 or 10 and then it took alot of fear away.
Katyand4 love to hear you played basketball thats amazing the difference in a year.
waves to Mary625- hope you are doing good
