how about drinking?

For Cammi
Why might coffee cause diarrhea?
Most people who drink coffee know that it has a laxative effect. In other words coffee makes you poop.
The high levels of caffeine stimulate the bowels, and the acidic nature of coffee may irritate the bowels.
Another theory (not mine) is that some people are very sensitive to bile. Bile is part of the human digestive tract’s operation. Bile helps break down fats.
However, coffee causes the body to secrete bile which then moves into the intestines causing irritation.
Irritated intestines work overtime to get rid of bile, coffee and everything else along with it.
As extra liquid rushes to the intestines and coffee stimulates peristalsis, you may get all kinds of cramping…
Coffee in, diarrhea out.

Hi to everyone, sorry I can't catch up with everyone, have brain drain at the minute. Great news for dork's mum.
Kathy coming to see me soon.
Going to see Liam next weekend.
Prayers for my neighbour. Very poorly, she is a bad diabetic and has nasty infection and ulcers in foot. Just home from 2 weeks in hospital so we are on a community daily call in.

yes I did get a card so did undie
This is what it says on my card The natreelle style 133V series tissue expander matrix contains a metallic component which is NOT compatatible with MRI and that may be detected by security screening.
I feel them when I stretch and they get very tight if I do to much
mema thanks for reminding me of fitness pal

Thanu Bernie---but I did go a period of time way over a year without coffe--lost the taste for it and still ot D--but that was so nice of u.
All right who else has metl intheir foobs? Orange u can't be the only one. Wow; and that's so true about cookies.

Good morning, Loungettes! I've got 4 quarts of pea soup made up, gonna freeze three of them. Got a lovely plate of ham to cook with this week, too. Gotta check and see if it's safe to give the ham bone to Sadie.
ORLA--I remember reading Cujo, how does the movie compare? Your mom sounds like a wonderfully fun lady!
Juliet--Cholesterol may be an element in heart disease, but I'm not sure it’s the big player it's made out to be. I know too many people whith "healthy" cholesterol levels who have had heart attacks. I'm also opposed to taking a medication that makes me hurt all over like the statins do. Although crestor has been ok so far. And we're just having people live long enough to be able to test and find out what is normal for people in their 70's and older. But, it is what it is, and some things aren't worth fighting about. I'll take the pill as long as I don't hurt all the time. With the arimidex there was an end date, with the crestor etc there isn't.
Cammy--I cannot imagine how frustrating your situation must be. You can blame anything you like, except me!
Wahine--Themetal marker used to mark biopsy sites is very, very small, just big enough to see on x-ray. It actually takes a specially sensitive metal detector to find it in tissue. Must be nice to be a VIP! I'd love to get the VIP treatment, but I can't afford to donate that much to any casino. Good free food is fun, too! Glad the laptop was safe and sound, too. Sounds like a good time for everyone!
Mema--I've got a steam cleaner, too, not a shark, and I like it for the stove and windows and lots of things, but not so much for floors. Don't use it much, it takes such a long time to get up to steam (hee hee, get it?). At the airport they call over a couple of females to do pat downs on women. Forgive me, CynCyn, but last time I wondered what the pat down would be like for you, or if it would be less intrusive if a guy did yours! I hope I don’t offend you. The thought made a process that I find somewhat uncomfortable more bearable. Speaking of x-ray scanners, does anyone else worry about putting children and babies through that thing?
Hey Baxter! You and Sadie must have been talking. Did Sadie tell you about the night she jumped in bed and got on the pillows before I there? Then she didn't want to move, so I use HER as a pillow! She must have liked it, she didn't move for the longest time.
DorKable--What a wonderful moment with your mom! Hope your dad will be there soon and they can be together again. Workies and dwinkies, a great combo!
BBBBernie--Hmm, that is interesting news about coffee. I knew coffee was a diuretic, but I didn't know it was a laxative, too. Hmmmm. Here's good wishes and prayers for your neighbor.
Princess Glitter Sizzle's DOTD is the The Big Game Day
1 (6-pack) light beer
1 can frozen limeade
1 lime, sliced in half
Pour beer into a large pitcher. Add still-frozen limeade and stir to combine. (Stirring with a metal utensil can reduce foam.) Allow foam to settle. Squeeze half a lime into pitcher. Finely slice the other lime half and place into pitcher, for garnish. Pour into chilled glasses and serve cold.

LOL @ Julie getting knocked up and blaming Tammy foy de weather too!
NM, you’re just as handy as our Jane of all trades Katrinka. I’ll bet she could do shingles too. I guess being single, you are almost forced to learn to do things. Funny about the word shirtsleeves, but I don’t understand door yard! My husband makes fun of me cuz we (in the Midwest) call a sliding patio door a “doorwall”. Sure wish I could have sumofdat ham wif you, AND da soup! Interesting info on the airport scans, and YES on the children. So sweet, you and Sadie are.
Sue you hab me funcused, what is the difference in AL and AI. I know AI is aromatase inhibitors, but don’t think I have heard of AL’s. If we go shopping after we meet on the highway, it will be another hour drive (round trip). And you don’t have much fat on you either. And WHY do we have to get it in the belly????
Oh dear, CAMI. I’m terribly sorry that you were in the hospital for so long trying to get those blood levels right, but your story of the ambulance really had me smiling! You are TRULY one of us!!! It’s ok to tell stories twice, I see Sue says you told dis one already, but meese don bremember, so see, ok to tail twiced. And Joey washes the floor on his hands and knees????? SERIOUSLY? How old? I thought he was like 8?
Cute story bout your mom Lara. And good for you and the Fitness Pal.
KatrinkaKachinka, glad you were able to poop in. So sorry about your DH’s headaches, that HAS to get old for him. And please don’t make too big of “donations”.
Oh Sue, I love my floor steamer. I wonder why it’s leaving streaks? Mine is not a Shark, but never streaks. I don’t understand that, I mean it’s just steam? I wouldn’t think the machine would make any difference. Do you use tap water? I use store bought distilled water in mine, as we have LOTS of calcium in our water.
Dorfy, your mommy loves you and recognizes you, meese tinks, dat why she kiss you hand. It is comforting to her to have you dere. Is she still getting up and into the chair? Getting her into different positions is VERY important, as bed sores are very hard to get rid of. Keep an eye on her skin, ALL OVER, k?
B, excited for you and Katwinka and so very nice how you all are taking care of your neighbor, sending up prayers for her. Also glad that you a getting to go and visit with Liam. Is he doing ok now?
Happy Fun Day goils, no Super Bowling here, not fans. Just gonna try and finish dusting the rest of my floors and clean the master bath. Those are my goals for the day. Oh, and cut back my geraniums I have in the house. They are blooming beautifully, so I have been stalling.
-
NM that DOTD actually sounds good to me.
OK u guys know I don't doule screen so my remarks are eoth scattered or non-existent.
Dork Did u not cry--that is so so embracing. The kindness of u'r mom shines thru all of this. It will be wonderful when u'r dad comes too. u'll see, it will work out.I'm sure now. But yae care of u'r puka, it still bothers me.
Sue is that u'r firbaby??? Adorable
OK Cholesterol meds, they too have side effects.? WTF For some readon, I never thought of that. What are u trying to do force me to think?
-
-
Bernie this is more like u--hahaha

Bernie u'r so cute, I love it---and I've always thought that.

Morning Goils!! I lublublub da football…will be getting goot n dwunk today. We gonna go to our bar (well not mine as I don’t work there anymore) but they have 5 big screens and 4 little tv’s around the bar. The Budweiser folks always give the bar lots of giveaways, t-shirts, hats, and even this neat football shaped chair this year. Take the top off and it seats two…take the cushions off and it’s ice chests. Very cool. Anyway…dat’s where I’ll b later today.
Cami - not my Baxter. My avatar is my Baxter.
D - waterwoiks!! Melt mese fart story about your mom!! You a very special DD and I for one am happy she is there so you can visit often. Hope you got lots of work and dwinking done last night and not nessesaralee in dat order…heehee!
Bernie - I knew dat about the coffee…but even if I have the D I still dwink it…bring it on…get it out…LOL…I jes can’t give up mese coffee D or no D! I am jealous Kat coming to see you soon, and then Cyn right? It sounds like you live in such a neat area and that all of you are so caring toward each other. I will say some prayers for you neighbor. I suppose Liam doing pretty good too? LOL on the Thinking posts. My DD used to ask me something, or I wud be trying to remember something, and she’d watch my furrowed brow and then she’d put her hand on my head and say ‘don’t hurt yourself mom’. I didn't get it at first...den she say 'Owww!! looks like your brain hurts!! I cwacked up!!
NM - soup sounds yum yum, and I like ham too. My vets, years ago, sed never to give dogs ‘pork’. Don’t kno if that still holds true…so let me kno if you find it ok to gib Sadie. I read the book and saw the movie…it was pretty right on…I think the ending was a widdle diff tho. My SIL let me borrow a steamer for windows etc, not quite a handheld but it did help save lots of time in this rental we were in for awhile. It was not the kind that cud be used on floors tho.
Lara - by the sounds of your expanders, your skin mustta needed more stretching than those that get the implants as expanders. It sounds like you are tolerating it pretty good…it will all be over before you know it ((Lara))
Lori…hm…I’m funkassed…You are right…it is AI’s not AL…imagine that! LOL Thank you fer setting me right girlfriend. From day 1 I used distilled water…same result, altho yest I used tap, cuz was outta distilled…no diff. My mop/bucket works very well and in less time/hassle too. But like I say…I do like the steamer in the bathrooms (lino floors) so I will continue to use it. I agree…why da belly?? Age mese tinks…eh? OK…whatever you wanna do when you wanna do it as far as the shopping goes. Ya kno…I can always go shopping in Mesa before I head up to Shady. Mayb there is sumpin u need/want that is best bought in da ‘big city’?? Jes let me kno…b happy to do it. Sooo x-cite-ted!!!
Later Taters!!
-
Sue, I think if there is anything I forget, then you can pick up on yer way. To me, shopping will interfere with our US time!!!! Altho, I'm sure we could have fun shopping too! Not much in Show Low, and if Lynda pops in, she can verify!
-
super bowl time............
whats everyone dwinking
-
Currently some water! But only 11:20 am here. But will be popping a top a bit later!
-
What's going on--everyone is seeing everyone-WOWEEEE I love it. U gals are powerhouses and it's great--wherever U'r going with each other u'll have a fab time.
And I'm listening to a vacuum again, in my room now. LOL When I was a kid there were 4 ids and a dog--and we never vacummed this much--Geeze They make me laugh.
So lots of u guys are on the 47th SuperBowl Sunday--see how much I know and that's as far as I go with it. Joey should be home anytime now--Jodie (oh my oldest D) is driving him home-talked to him and he had a fun time in the snow.
So I'll watch my scary movies today they can watch THE SUPER BOWL.--U guys enjoy the parties and the Game--have a good day.
And Dorky take time off today, rest u'r puka.
-
cammie whats your favorite scary movie
-
Orange I don't know, I have so many that I actually watch some again---I've watched the craft a couple of times--but I don't like any scary movies based with the devil, like excorcism or things like that--I'll watch ghost entity kinds of movies and some of Stephin King's I relly liked "IT' but the ending was so stupid to me it destroyed the whole movie, but I mostly like group movies--when a bunch of people are involved in some crazy from another world thing that's trying to get them--but at least 2 live hahaha.
-
Oh I have to tell u gals this stupid thing----when I was 15 yrs. old I got my SS card and I still after moving around in my life and all have the original SS card and since I took my name back yrs ago It's fine. So that makes it over 50 yrs old. Now last week I did get my tax things and I put them away in my small little world with a clip on them right next to me---I've torn this place apart and can't find them. WTF I don't remember moving them-So I'll wait for a while and look again, but I do know exactly where my SS card is and it's there. Damn.
-
Ha-ha-haha-ha---I met Lori on the phone today---she's so beautiful, it was such a pleasure--I loved every minute--u gals are great. Thank you Lori
(((HUG S)))

Whew...finally got home, such a long drive, and after drinking toooo much last night and feeling sick, I am just tired and feel dehydrated right now. BUT we made it home safely, and that is always a good thing! PLUS, lots of hugs from our furbabies!!!
Lara, I think the metal must just be at the port where they inject the fills. They are of a material that stretches with each fill, thus your skin can stretch as the expander increases in size. So its not all metal, although it may feel like it!!! Funny I didn't get a card, but the again, I got all the info on the implants AFTER my procedure! It was supposed to also help to decide which type, etc. Oh well, I am happy with them. Are you going to get the nips made, or just the 3D nip tattoos. They look so real, Dorkie had to touch mine (nothing sexual here, girls!!!) to believe that they were not protruding like nipples do.
NM, did you find out if you can give Sadie the ham bone? I used to love giving my dogs those round steak bones, or ham hocks, but their vet advised us not to give them ANY bones, as he said they can all splinter, OR get stuck at the back of their mouth, etc. So he skeered me from giving them any. I do feel like they are missing out on something good, though! I mean, long ago we always gave our dogs bones!!!
Dotty, I just love how your mom pulled up your hand to her face and kissed it. SOOOOOO sweet, I love how she still shows you that she loves you!!
Bernie, Hope your weekend goes well, when you see Liam!!! (For some reason, the movie from awhile back, "Weekend at Bernie's" comes to mind!). Even though it'll be weekend at Liam's! Are you going to bring back some stuff you like, too? When you are there, we will be off with our g'dau for the week. I have lots to catch up on before we go....just have 4 days to get chit done! Yikes!!!!
Sounds like a fun day for you, Sue!! I don't care much for football unless AL is in the championship games, but DH is gonna record it so we can watch the commercials and half-time.Will you get to win prizes too, even though you work there some? Awesome chair/ice chest!
Well dear ladies of the HTL, Not gonna get to comment to all, jest toooooo tired and need to zone out for a bit. Wanted to say hi to everyone, oh and we did come back winners...I was way down, but DH slipped me $300 here and there, then I won some, so I am a little bit up. HE did real good at the bj table last night, so I am glad of that.
Big Hugs! (I'll have some of NM's DOTD's for Lynda too!),
Kat
-
Kat I hope u get nuff rest--and super glad u'r safe and on top of that u and DH WON--lucky time for u and u'r furbabies are so happy now.
Orange I forgot about the Halloweens one I like Halloween H20 too and I also like action Movies the more action the better and I love when the good guy wins. Yippy I O KI AYE. (Die nhard) LOL

Hi goils!
I hope that all you souper bowlers enjoyed de show. I missed de whole ting (not to be funcused with de puka ting).
Update on puka ting, dedicated to de Camille ♥....when de implant was first taken, de puka was quite large on de inside. I really did not understand the way it would heal, mese thought that the puka would jest close. But now mese understands. I was inishally able to put a Q-tip in de puka and swipe around to cleanse. And de Q-tip used to go in about tree quarters of de way. And last night when mese cleansed it, de ting olny went in about a half inch or so. Whilst it seems to be taking forebber, it is now a much smaller puka on de inside dan it wuz when de implant foyst came out. So ya see, dere WILL be a dey when I have no puka. And wese gonna has de biggliest party, on me! woop wooop.
Lori, so nice of you to phone chat our Camille. I jest know it was spayshall for both of ye goils.
Suz, I has nothing to make ye cry tonight. Mom wuz sleeping de whole time I wuz dere tonight. I did gib her kisses and slugs o hugs from you and from Kathy. What a difflence a week makes eh? Please pray dat tings continue to come togedder for us.
Lara, your TE's are not all metal all dough dey do feel like it. I got de same card for traveling. I also tink dat is jest the port that is metal, it has to be as I remember de PS using a metal detector to find where to poke for de fills. I hated TE's more than anything, I called mines turtle shells cuz dey was so rock hard. I hope you are able to do yer exchange soonliest and say good riddance to dem dern tings.
Cam, yes, talk to St. Anthony. He is a good saint and will hailp you find dat SS card. Matter fact, I tink he s'pposed to put it back where you had it, he can be a punk sumtimes with hiding tings.
NM, I hope you have a nice work week and that you are not overly exhausted from all dat housework. OMG lady, you impressed me at going lightening speed. My house is def suffering. I jest straightened up the kitchen and am running mese dish washer. Dere lots of glasses in dere cuz I like dwinkies. Feel free to stop in anytime for one if you ebber get dis way hehe.
Kat, glad you came back winners. And I bet yer fur babies were so glad to see you. I hope this week goes well for you and your parents. I also tink about you and them often. Wese got dat in common. And your parents are jest so awesome being so up there in years yet so active. You are such a good daughter to them and I know they must appreciate it. You def earned yer wings to heaven in a long long long long time. Speaking of long, has you seen Mr. Big around lately? He is sporting a new speedo. I tink I go to de pool and look for him...
To any of you I did not address, it does not mean dat I do not love ye. It means dat mese dumb. i love you too.
cheerS, chAIRS and much love to all of mese onederful sista survivors ♥

Sadly, another tragedy as the result of bullying. My DD and g'kids knew him and his family...he was just 14 and passed clothes down to my g'son, and they did things at church with this family. His parents were even getting help for him, but sadly it wasn't enough, and he took his own life. The media won't leave them alone, but they don't want it all out there. The pastor even announced to everyone at church today to ignore the cameras and to not answer the media, so the family might have some privacy.I cannot even imagine something so awful. Would you wonderful ladies please pray for this family. I don't know how my g'son (11) is taking this, but my DD has been talking to him about it, andI'm not sure how much she will tell my 8 year old g'dau. I have been so sad since I found out, but knowing how much prayers can help, I do appreciate any you can send up for them. I'll be watching my g'kids on at their house on Tues, during the funeral. Not sure if my g'son will want to go to the service, though.
I hope everyone is having a good evening. We need to have a big blow-out party soon, I think we all can use one.
-
OMG Kat how could all of these things be happening to these poor kids now. I mean people have to worry about guns and bullies too.
There was always A bully, but not more than one so who cared what they said but now they come in herds and it really "cool" to pick on someone who'e a little different. I hurt so for the family I will for sure say prayers for them they need them so badly.
