Life Insurance ?

Can anyone tell me if I can get life insurance?  i am stage 3A,  I was dx 11-29-07, finish treatment 9-08.  I have tried two different insurance companies and just got turn down (AARP) is one.  Not even term insurance.  Thanks for you help.

    Hi Betty,

    No, you can not get life insurance/ buy a policy privately. I think, based on what AFLAC told me when they were in my office, after 5 years, you might be able to get a policy written. Having said this, if you work for a company that has some group policy in place, it may be a different story.



    Sorry... Lets go ahead and take the position that you (your beneficiaries) won't need it!

    I was told once you have to do a search for a no-medical exam insurance.  I've been turned down at several places and was told I had to be out of the woods for 9 yrs.

    Ugh.  I had just been searching on this very topic. That is very depressing. I always figured I was too young and healthy to worry about getting additional insurance in place so never bothered. Now I'm out of luck.  BC just keeps getting its nasty hands into our lives...
