Let's Help Ann Today! - author of But Doctor I Hate Pink blog

I first met Ann Silberman when we dxed on the same day over 3 years ago. You may know her as the writer of the funny and always honest blog - Breast Cancer? But Doctor I Hate Pink. She has Stage IV cancer and will find out the results of her latest pet scan today. She is trying to remain optimistic, but she is feeling weaker. I want her day to have something positive in it, no matter what the scan results say.

I'm asking you to vote for her in the health blog contest. If she wins, she'll receive $1,000 which she hopes to use for her brilliant son's future education.

All you need is a facebook account to enter, and your vote will still count, even if you don't "share" it on your FB page. Done mine for today. Ann is a wonderful woman and deserves respect and admiration for her open and honest fight with this disease. She has given so much to many women to this site.

Thank you. I know when she had more energy she spent many hours helping the newly diagnosed. Ann is also a wonderful advocate for Stage IV women and need for more research for metastic disease.

I just voted as well! I was a writer for Healthline and had no idea about the contest! Too preoccupied lately I guess.

If it wasn't for Ann and her initial advice when I first posted a few weeks ago I would still be a complete basket case -- even more so today! Her advice and support has definitely helped make my mom's crazy rollercoaster easier. Wishing Ann great results!
