This Roadrunner is back, 10 lbs heavier, so need to be here for sure.
Friday check-in - 3 points and that's all I'm reporting! Here's to less of me coming back next week.
Hi all, missed you.
-
hi patoo, missed you too, welcome back!
-
PATOO!!!! Welcome back girlfriend. So glad to see your smiling face!
-
Well, birdies, I'm back heavier than ever before - sitting at 220, so back to the gym and trying to food journal - just a few days opened my eyes up to how many calories just slip past these lips without even being noticed. I'll be checking in on Fridays to keep me accountable. Feeling mentally more like myself than ever in the past three years, so maybe that will help. I have to get back into the habit of a lot of things, like checking in here. Ta for now.
-
Arrgghh!! I guess I have hit my plateau! No weight loss in almost a week. Maybe 4/10 of a lb. Not doing anything different. Really struggling to get under that 160 mark. Hanging onto 161. This is really hard to become frustrated and not give up. I know that I have done really well... I've only been dieting since Oct. 30 and have lost 26lbs. I still have at least 20 lbs I want to lose. It's going to be a struggle to get it off. The first ones have come off and when I reach this weight it is where I always seems to get stuck and plateau or a little bit less. When I went to Medical Wt. Loss I hit 155-159 and that was where I struggled and never lost another lb. I've gotta make it over this hump. Which is why I come here I guess for some moral support.
Thanks for listening
-
Hang in there, birdies! I was at 169.4 this morning so finally below my plateau of 170.
It's taken a long time but I'm down from 200. Joined E-LAB at 190. So it can be done!
-
mimi--plateaus are hard, aren't they? I'm using the idea of a new year with a new program at work to jump start my nutritional management again. And get some exercise added in. Here we go together, sisters!
-
Hi Birdies ~ I can't seem to get into a routine here and the scale shows. I did work out. but not every day. Too much snacking, I think.
Friday ~ 3
Wt up 176.4 ~ 0
Exercise ~ 15
Water ~ 7
Total ~ 25
-
I have been going through denial, or something. If I don't look at the scale, I don't have to be concern with it. I have ignored this thread, and I am sorry for that. My DS got married about 7 weeks ago and my focus for the previous 6 months has been devoted to making 4 bridesmaid dresses and customizing the bridal gown, as well as many other details fro the wedding. It is over now, and I am not working at this time so I can't say I don't have time to exercise.
I looked at the header at my weight and I am probably just about the same weight, but have noticed changed in my measurements, my hips in particular.
I am going to try to just slip in from this point on and work towards a healthier and hopefully slimmer me.
-
good to see you, Meece, welcome back! Congrats on your DS wedding.

Weight 168.4! Down from last week = 2 points

Already found some yummy-looking recipes I'd like to make. I'll be posting them on the "Wheat Belly" thread.
Total = 24 points

Happy Friday!!
I weighed in at 159.8 yippee!! (of course that is in my undies lol)
Not sure about water intake considering I've been sick but I've drank a lot of water with hot chocolate and coffee.
Exercise - none this week except the bed due to sickness.
Ex. Credit - went to the dr. for being sick and got 2 shots and meds. Ugh!!
checking in on Friday - 3 pts
so if someone can figure this out

-
Wow. Have to get into habit of remembering to log in on 'special' days. Missed Wednesday but got here today (played hookey from work!)
Roadrunner - Friday 3 pts.; exercise did not keep track but not much so only logging 3 pts.; weight down 3 lbs. for 2 pts; water, also didn't keep track, did some but don't think I filled up to get more than 1 pt. Total = 9. Goal next week is 12+ (baby steps getting back on track)
Everyone enjoy the weekend but don't overdo.
-
hi birdies, Roadrunner checking in
Friday check-in = 3 points
Weight 169.4 - up from last week = 0 points
Exercise = 12 points
Daily H2O = 7 points
Extra credit = 1 point, still below 170!
Total = 23 points
Renee, I figure you have 14 points. Friday check-in = 3, down from last week = 2, new E-LAB low = 1 (congrats!!), extra credit = 1, and daily H2O = 7.
Someone pls correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it: Drink at least four 8-oz glasses of water or any non-alcohol / non-caffeine beverage to earn a daily H2O point? (max = 7 for the week) That's not too too hard to do. Have a good week everyone!
-
Missed yesterday check in. I think I am down, but will check for sure.
I am trying hard to get back in the saddle and get back up to speed here.
-
Roadrunner checking in:
Friday Check in = 1 point, missed it
Weight 222# = 2 points!!!
Water = 7 points
Exercised = 5 points
Extra Credit--did not eat any candy in the office this week! 1 point
Total = 15 points

I am working to update the header. It seems I was not to only one to fall off the radar (or the wagon)
Should I change the header to show only the active participants? Keep all the other's in the thread and repost it now and again? What do you think?
-
I think many of us fell off the wagon... I'm trying really hard to stay on it this time. Been off for about a week since I've been really sick. Awfully taking steroids, they make you soooo hungry!!! Even diet pills can't fight the hunger off. Ugh!! Trying to get back on my horse after being off for a week and being on meds. Having some fluid retention. Gotta drink, drink, drink the fluids and water.

-
Yeah, steroid pills cause hunger AND water retention. So not FAIR!!!!! It's taken me weeks to get the steroid weight off from my last round with them.
-
It feels like being back here and actually looking at the bathroom scale makes me gain weight. I need to get moving to burn more calories. I think that is my biggest problem.
-
I know your pain Meece.

-
I've slipped, too, it's so cold here I don't want to go outside so exercise has dwindled but eating has remained the same. I refuse to starve myself - that is not healthy - and don't have the money for a gym so will have to live with a few extra pounds for the time being. Yoga builds strength and is good for relaxation but isn't a cardio workout.
Meece, I've wondered about the teams for a while now. I'm glad that my fellow Roadrunners are still checking in (way to go ladies!) but the motivational concept of competition isn't really there anymore. We're all on the same team now, aren't we?
Whatever you decide will be OK with me. I'm going to keep checking in every week. Thanks!
-
My daily Maxine calendar cartoon the other day was "Does shivering count as exercise?" I want to say yes!!! It is hard to get exercise in when it's as cold as this. I have trouble with the dark comeing so early in the evening, too. Not wanting to go for a walk in the dark. So I trying to take more stairs when I'm out at work, usually trying to park further away in parking lots (not right now with the danger of frostbite in 15 minutes of exposure!). Have a Wii, haven't turned in on in months. My bad, I know, I need to do much better.
As far as the groups go there hasn't been much activity there for quite a while. I do miss it, and would like to see it come back, but there may not be enough of us still active to do that. Are there enough of us to make up 2 groups, maybe? The friendly competition is motivating for me. I'll volunteer to do the adding up and posting of total points for one group.
I'm also very happy to go with whatever works best for the majority. Even without the group competition element this thread helps keep me accountable.

-
I will remove the current team listing and info and place it in a post hopefully at the top of the next page, or bottome of this one. Then I will work at putting everyone active back on the header. Maybe we could start with weigh ins on February 1st?
-

E-LAB (Sounds mysteriously technical doesn't it) stands for Eating Like A Bird
We are working together to support each other and lose that weight! Here we go....
To see where we ended in 2010, you can see a post on page 59.************************************************************************************

Sounds like a plan Meece... but I've been on mine since Oct. 30. Going to the weight dr. just hope it keeps paying off. Kinda plateauing right now.
-
I was just thinking as to a starting weight date, but since you girls have been so faithful, you just give me the starting weight you want in the header.
-
Maybe if I exercise 6 hours tonight I will get enough points to get out of single digits!
I will post tomorrow and you can start whenever you all agree.
