Follow-up PET Scan

Just finishing up chemo and radiation. Going to see Onc to discuss what type of Hormone meds I'll go on. My question is do they usually do another PET scan after your treatments are done to make sure no other cancer is seen? My docs are saying no but that seems a little strange to me. How do I know if everything worked?

    I didn't get a pet but I had one before chemo with no mets. During chemo I got mammos and us and after chemo another MRI. Everything showed major shrinkage. Pathology on a revision surgery post chemo was clean. If you didn't have mets on a pet before chemo ask for an MRI. Its regional but much less radiation :). Hugs
