If anyone wants to know what happens in Downton Abbey - I've already watched it - ordered the DVD's from Amazon UK. It is the BEST series EVER!!! They won't start screening it here until after the school holidays I guess.

Also got Mad Men Series 5 but we haven't started watching that yet.

The special food that my cats eat also has no dyes.  It always irritated me that they put dyes in to make it more attractive, like the cats care.  And then when they throw up, as they are destined to do, it just stained the floor.

I had two cats that eventually died from the urninary blockage.  Both of them were fed wet canned food.  But back then they blamed it on the high ash content in the food.

Rads are FINALLY done and I can go back to having a fairly normal schedule again.  The neck is crispy bacon and big chunks of skin are sloughing off (I prefer to look at it as microdermabrasion for the neck) and it HURTS but I'm done, done done!

Now, on to see my MO and hear his plans.  Chemo's a possibility, I know, but I'm crossing fingers for no more of that bad stuff.

Enjoyful... glad you are done, wish it wasn't so well done in some parts, but hopefully this life intrusion will put you in good steed and worth it. 

Not sure where my 'original' adoration of cats came from or started.  Partially I do think......when young, all the dogs I encountered were adults, so cats being much smaller for the most part was something that I enjoyed.  As well, even young I think I admired the haughty stature they presented.....a cat almost always knows the world is its stage.  Have always liked the quote: " Dogs have masters, cats have staff ".  Of course, I never meant to have my lg. amt. of feline friends, but they are all dear to me.  Never meant that I should have as many dogs either, sigh !!!!!  Don't intend anymore either as most of my work is for their food and care and a trinket for me now and then.  Not complaining too much.....the love I receive is highly adequate pay and knowing they are not out on the street  or in really deplorable conditions soothes my minor flares or resentment.  That is mainly not so  much towards the animals, but the people who insist on having a pet they will not neuter.  Even one of my very good friends ( much older man ) complained when I took the male dog to the vet....told me I shouldn't be doing that to the dog.....really!!!  I think his idea was the "female" counterpart should be the one to 'lose' their abilities. 

I'm not a traveler so have no ideas about things like that.....what traveling I've done has been through Nat'l Geographic magazine.

Oh E that is such good news - OS was asking after you last night so I'll let her know.  Do you have all the healing creams and ointments you need?  Just try to rest for a little while - like a couple of weeks - which I know is impossible for you but it makes me feel better to think you might actually rest!

HL - today is tree take down day here too but actually I started two days ago and got sidetracked - by a book!

Ah....Belinda...that is an INCREDIBLE picture which I missed.  So glad you share.  Althena should appreciate that one as well ---even though its a tiger.

I'm also in love with your friend, Lassie.  This is something we see a lot of here as well.  Owls are stunning creatures, though I must admit....a time or two I have been nearly spooked by the intensity of their un-blinking stare. Especially the night one was following Dh and I as we walked our pups outside before bed, from tree to tree.  Turned out to be a really young one ( I called an animal science place here ) that the parents were nearby training to be on its own.  It was so much closer than I would expect.  The science person say to enjoy for as long as it lasted as it would soon start to shy from the close contact it was displaying towards us and sure enough.

Hallelujah!!! I made it over the HUMP!!!



I was so cold last night with mild aches. I went to bed around 11:00 pm. Very early for me. Today, chills & aches are gone, fog is gone, tastebuds are back. This AC was a bit harder than the I last one. It was such an effort to hold my head up at times.



No word on the job yet. When DH went in to do the app. the man he was supposed to see was busy, so the receptionist said she'd make sure he got it right away. The guy only works Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, so I'm praying we hear from him today.



When I was a girl between the ages of 10-15 I spent every summer at my grandparents farm in southern Ohio. Grandma had a calico cat named Clementine. She was wildly independent, so I always loved it when I could get her to sit still in my lap for just a few minutes.

There was a stray dog that would come prowling around during the night. Grandma tried unsuccessfully to run him away. One early morning we heard a loud screech, and looked out the door just in time to see Clementine riding on his back, clawing his back as she rode him out of the yard. Needless to say, we never saw that dog again.

I can't remember EVER seeing an owl, although I've certainly heard them.  Lucky Lassie, to have such a lovely visitor in your cherry tree!

Trying to catch up. Our cats eat BG(Before Grain) food and Fancy Feast Appetizers. The older one had awful trouble with his ears. They were itchy and discharging. The vet suggested grain free food. It worked, so it seems he has a grain allergy. When we switched the kitten fom the kitten food the breeder gave her, no more runny stinky poo. We spend a lot on cat food but it is worth it to have healthy cats.
