Oh - Lori, I was going to give you a heads up that I went to Baltimore today, but it was such a quick trip (I was participating in a Baltimore Symphony Orchestra event). I'll let  you know next time.

Got the call today - all clear. BIG sigh of relief. I've been nervous before, but this one really had me scared. But it was fine, so hopefully I got 3 months of peace of mind. Thanks for your good thoughts.

No activity on here for a while is hopefully good news.  I am so glad that we don't have to deal with chemo this Christmas!  I wanted to wish all of you a Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah and Happy New Year!

What Kelly said! I can't believe it has been a year. Last year at this time I was getting ready to buzz my hair off!

Happy Holidays to all! I can't believe it's been a year! I'm going a little overboard with Christmas this year, lol. It just feels good, to feel good, know what I mean? :)

I know just what you mean!  I am so ready to kiss 2012 goodbye!  My wish is that 2013 be a year of healing and only good things for all of us.....we definitely deserve it!

    Kelly - Amen to that!

Happy holidays to everyone. I had a colonoscopy last week and it was fine - not a polyp in sight. And if I've figured correctly, I don't have to step foot in a doctor's office until March! That's a bit scary, but it will be a really nice break.

Congrats Rachel!  I wish I could say the same about not stepping in a doctors office, I am on Herceptin indefinitely.  I can live with that!

Hi ladies, I hope everyone is enjoying their holidays.

What a blessing this season has been compared with 2011.

I pray for health and happiness for us all!

    Looking forward to it.

Laura, how are you doing? Do you feel more like yourself as the months have gone by?

I agree, can't wait to leave 2012 in the rearview mirror!  Happy New Year to all my chemo sisters!

Hi Rachel doing pretty good. Work is crazy busy and I could sleep the days off away.

Off for a week and it's been restful.

Beginning to think about reconstruction. Still so undecided. How are you feeling after your surgery?

I was so happy to read your tests were all good. I had a biopsy on a polyp couple months ago. It was fine but the waiting sucks.

I wish you a wonderful New Year!

    Hi All,

Just a question. I had my first round of TC two weeks ago and it has been quite a ride. The Onc decided to cut my dose back by 20% due to some significant SE.

Has anyone had dose reduced and did you notice a change, was it easier, the same, ???

I know everyone's experience is different. just interested in your thoughts.

Hi Ella. I bet you meant to post on the Dec 2012 thread instead of 2011? Anyway, I had some nueropathy with the Taxol so the third of four infusions was delayed a week and the fourth never happened. I've heard similar stories from others so my guess is that a reduction in dose or delay is pretty common. Good luck to ya!

Happy New Year Dec 2011 ladies!!

I'm pretty sure I was grumbling last year about not being able to go out on NYE. Well, we decided to stay in again this year and just spend the evening with our girls. Hope you all are feeling good!

Happy New Year! We stayed in, too and celebrated at home.  I was very happy to see 2012 hit the road.  2013 will be our year ladies!

Happy late New Years... I wound up celebrating on my own, as my BF came down with the flu. But I definitely think 2013 is off to a good start. I'm having more 'normal' moments, when it almost feels like it did pre-BC. Wishing everyone else a happy and very healthy 2013.

Yay Rachel, glad you're starting to feel better. I started a new job this week. Definitely has helped me feel more normal.

How's everyone's hair? Mine is so bad, lol. Poofy and short- sticks straight up on the top. I should probably have it shaped up, but I can't bring myself to cut it. It really seems to be growing faster since I stopped Herceptin.

My hair grows out before it grows down. Thank God for powerful gel to keep it calm. Major chemo curl in the back but I'm learning to live with it. I keep cutting the back to avoid a mullet and to allow the top/sides to catch up. I'm almost there. Can't wait!

Mine is still really curly, but in the past week, I'm starting to recognize my old wave. It's sort of funny - in the past, I always worked hard to keep my hair under control, even when my stylist tried to get me to let it fluff out more. Now, I got so lazy not having to style it for so many months that, unless it's an outright cowlick, I've been fine letting it do what it wants!

Hi everyone! Still getting used to myself with wavy hair that sticks straight up. Darker too but don't really want to bleach it. Been going without my hat for two weeks now but it's cold!

Researching diep surgery now, Mardi when is your date?

Spoke with a Dr. Redstone who works at St. Barnabus and NY.

    Still undecided though.

Hope everyone is doing and feeling well.

My date was supposed to be 2/27 but my employer is changing health plans so I'm going to delay the surgery until late spring. I can't wait to get rid of this foob!
