sounds cozy julie!
I meant to comment on your artificial sweetner info Bernie....I know that is why I have a problem and if I cut it down would probably do a lot better.
-
its now ironic, natural foods like sugar and butter are better for you than the substitutes
-
Im all about BUTTER...like Paula Dean.....but Sugar...Im also Diabetic like Paula Dean...lol.
-

-
Hi everyone---I'm relieved it's not all virtual drinking YYYAAAYYY--- and Like the tender--I think everyone is really busy with Christmas, but me for now---It's so cold out--which is sily to say cuz it's December like we never had cold--hahaha
I wsnt to eat something different but don't kniw what---I was hungry before had some veggie chips and cookies and now what--My DD made pasta. doesn't sound good to me--but we do have hotchocolate and some little bottles of Kaluah--yummy and I do have my Penquin jammies on--flannel of course.
Wow the lounge is so lit up tonight, nice decorations--the tenders did a good job and now I have my JOB to do. Bwhaaaaaa.
-
OmG....Cami..what is your job??? Skerd...
Just got back from the MALL....definately a 4 letter word....Crazy people....I need a drink.!
-
Hi Ladies, my gawd its hard to ketchup when you miss a day or two...
Dorkie, I need to do this asap... (((((Dorothy)))))....my heart hurts for what happened to you so young....by that babysitter. And your mind protected you for so many yrs by hiding it deep inside your brain....till you were in the hospital, and talked to the mother of that babysitter, and all of it cam flooding back. People are just crazy, can't understand why anyone would molest ANYONE, esp a young child. I'll give you a REAL hug soon, ok?
Had a good but busy day and night. My g'dau's party was actually fun....then I had my DD and family for dinner tonight, got to visit a lot too. Then I HAVE to have everything ready tomorrow for our big meal, but I am so darn tired. My DD brought birthday gifts for me, (my bday was in Sept!), but they were PURRFECT...travel things that I really can use and wanted. SO that was a nice surprise.
How weird that so many of us had those hi winds. And all the christmas decorations blowng away. We were lucky with ours, nothing got broken. I still think its funny that the same day my DD and her family check out of the hotel, we will be checking into the SAME hotel to spend Christmas Eve. Weird! Wouldn't it be REALLY funny if we end up in their same room. Well, not REALLY funny, but ya know what i mean.
Well dear girlfriends, sure hope this will be a nice Christmas for all! Hmmmmm.... just saw our weather forecast, and looks like rain, rain, and MORE rain....next 4 days. Does anyone expect to have a white Christmas????
Big Hugs!
Kathy

Everyone is so busy and I don't think we'll have a white Christmas--but that's fine with me.
I'll catch up with u all later---I'm ready for sleep again. Geeze.
Love u all and have a feel good day.

Good morning, Loungettes! Put linens back on the clothesline yesterday after rinsing and spinning them, then it rained again! But things look dry this ayem, so I'm hoping I can get the duvet out and dried and maybe another load of laundry done today. Did some baking yesterday, had a wonderful time just puttering and cooking. Ah, the joys of having a day at home!
Cammy--Hey, when you're driving down the road struggling to stay ON the road because of the wind, you find humor in odd stuff you see. Love the book of "rules" your DD made up! That's a great way to spread the info about something like diabetes.
BBBBernie--I'm with you! But I do both. . .
Juliet--now I'm TOO warm!
BBBBernie--LOL!!!!!
ORLA--aha, now I can try that exercise routine and see if it helps!
DorKable--enjoy having the hair and nails did!
CynCyn--Yeah, the clothes sometimes freeze, but they dry, eventually. My dryer broke down about 20 years ago. Haven't felt the need to get it fixed yet. Beans stuff is great, isn't it? I found a great fleece jacket at Goodwill for $5.00 earlier this year, and it's wonderful. Hmmm, I've still got some gift certificates to Beans, need to look into using them. You know the gizmo on the key chain that has the buttons to remotely lock and unlock the doors? That's the fob. Some newer cars don't use keys in the ignition, they have a button you push, and the car will start as long as you have the gizmo close enough (like in your pocket or purse).
Wahine--Maybe you should call the hotel and ask for that room, just for the fun of it! Doesn't look like I'll have a white Christmas, but that's ok. When Christmas is white around here it's usually REALLY white, as in LOTS of snow!

Good morning girls!
I am a bit overwhelmed right now, I never made it out shopping last night. I had planned on napping until 8pm or so but never got up. I woke up in the middle of the night with such pain, I can't stand it. I think I know the reason though. I taped the gauze into my bullet hole then wrapped myself in an ace bandage. I tore off the tape and took off the ace bandage without even getting out of bed. So now, I still have to shop, I have to put in at least four hours at work and clean my house, wrap the gifts. I think I might head out shortly instead of waiting until late tonight to go shopping. Otherwise, I wil be a bundle of nerves.
Purple, welcome to our lounge! Pull up a bar stool and I will have our tenders get you a drink, what is your pleasure? And OMG, that poem was so beautiful, of course it made me cry. It was so well written and with the music, Silent Night, I could not stop boo-hoo'in.
Bernie, another berry funny post you made about de horny reindeer! lol. Merry Christmas to you! It is Christmas eve day eve here in the states. i jest can't believe it is here.
Kathy, I am glad you had such a nice time with your family and also that you found time to post.
To the rest of you wonderful goils, wishing you all a Peaceful and happy day. And as Cammi said, a feel good day! I am looking forward to getting my dwinks on later in the day after I finish working. Ughhh, hate that i still have to work...I am not in de mood.
LOVE to all of you special ladies ♥

Tomorrow morning we'll make sugar cookies.--oh and my DD did make her pinepple cake so we were busy --well for me anyway. So far so good.

NM, loved your post! So nice how you address everyone!
Cami, wow dats a lotta baking!! Yummmm....
Well our Christmas dinner went well today, but dang it was a lot of work!! Was so nice having all my family here though. That was the BEST turkey ever....sooooo moist and tasty...my DH did the turkey breast, and I did the ham and all the trimmings. That homemade carrot cake my DD surprised me with was heavenly!!! SO moist I couldn't tell where the cake stopped and the frosting started. Which is great for me, cause I don't usually like the cake part (except hers!).
Now to get ready to go to the hotel tomorrow. Guess we'll let the big jolly red guy fill our stockings here on the mantle instead of taking them to the hotel!
Just hoping and praying for everyone to have a real nice Christmas, and for those that need healing, to get better quickliest! OH, and a SPECHUAL Merry Christmas to our very special Tenders and Wenches, who have been so wunnerful to us all year! Shall we give them the day off, girls? I think we should let them jest relax on Christmas Day, if thats okay wid ebberyone. But come New Years......well lets jest say those Tenders will really be coming..(oops)! We will have a big banging celebration foah shuah!!!
Big Christmas Wishes, and Hope you don't hafta do the Dishes....

MISS FOGARTY'S CHRISTMAS CAKE
As I sat in my window last evening,
The letterman brought it to me
A little gilt-edged invitation sayin'
"Gilhooley come over to tea"
I knew that the Fogarties sent it.
So I went just for old friendships sake.
The first think they gave me to tackle
Was a slice of Miss Fogarty's cake.cho: There were plums and prunes and cherries,
There were citrons and raisins and cinnamon, too
There was nutmeg, cloves and berries
And a crust that was nailed on with glue
There were caraway seeds in abundance
Such that work up a fine stomach ache
That could kill a man twice after eating a slice
Of Miss Fogarty's Christmas cake.Miss Mulligan wanted to try it,
But really it wasn't no use
For we worked in it over an hour
And we couldn't get none of it loose
Till Murphy came in with a hatchet
And Kelly came in with a saw
That cake was enough be the powers above
For to paralyze any man's jawsMiss Fogarty proud as a peacock,
Kept smiling and blinking away
Till she flipped over Flanagans brogans
And she spilt the homebrew in her tay
Aye Gilhooley she says you're not eatin,
Try a little bit more for me sake
And no Miss Fogarty says I,
For I've had quite enough of your cake.Maloney was took with the colic,
O'Donald's a pain in his head
Mc'Naughton lay down on the sofa,
And he swore that he wished he was dead
Miss Bailey went into hysterics
And there she did wriggle and shake
And everyone swore they were poisoned
Just from eating Miss Fogarty's cake!
