maryah - Thank you for venting!  I feel very much like I have been doing the same thing as far as compartmentalizing.  I just posted on another forum that I have not cried at all since my dx.  Worries me that I haven't and sometimes wish I could.  I am glad the nurse was there to support you, and I bet it was a very healthy thing to finally get it out.  I wonder if I should check into counseling, too.  I hope you feel better physically very soon.

Powermom~I am also not able to cry. I've cried once in the past 8 years. I couldn't even cry at my mothers passing away 5 years ago. I loved her very much, but the tears wouldn't cry. I miss that. I used to cry when I was happy, sad, or angry. I don't know what happened.

    Blessings

Wow, how interesting that we share that.  I wonder if being on antidepressants can be the cause.  I also think that going through some very emotionally challenging periods when I was in my thirties made me "gun-shy" about letting myself go there again.

Changed my Avitar - the new pic is of my 5luvbugs and me under the Christmas Tree!

Got good news last night - MRI of brain and chest xray were clear!!  Yeah, Thank the Lord!!!

I am still soooooo tired from round #3 (on Tues) I took Tylenol PM and slept fairly good last night, then I had a dream.. Dreamed my husband was brushing my hair (that was a joke Laughing) and the more he brushed the longer my hair got, I couldn't wait to show everyone that all my hair was back - then I woke up !!!!

How are the rest of you holding up?  Hopefully we will all be feeling pretty good by Christmas....Sending hugs (((0))))

    Love Tricia

5LuvBugs~I love your new avatar. Like Martha said, I wish I could make it bigger. I tried with my iPad, but couldn't get it quite big enough.

    I also have 5 luvbugs, ages 10-21.

I'm thrilled that your scans were good.

Pands~I hope you get some real rest tonight. It sux when you can't sleep.

Martha~We do seem to share a lot, don't we?

Paula, any hair coming out yet?  Mine is now coming out several strands at a time when I run my fingers through it.  So weird, this Day 15 thing.  I noticed it starting yesterday afternoon.  Guess I better get the wigs trimmed and the shaver ready!  I am practicing wearing one of my headwraps today Smile.  Gotta get used to how I look so I can feel somewhat confident when I go out!

Martha~So far, not even a tingle. I keep running my hands through it to check.

I watched a video this morning on YouTube. "How to wear buffs." It's a British girl. She makes it so easy. She also has a video for tying scarves using a hair scrunchie, and another really good one to demonstrate drawing on eyebrows. She makes it all look so easy.

It's really cold here in central Ohio today, with a couple inches of snow on the ground, which will all melt tomorrow with sunshine & a high of 46.

    Have a wonderful weekend.

    Blessings

Cheers to your great news LuvBugs! I am still tired from tx#3 too. trying to keep food and liquid down, fingers crossed. Looking back, I can say that #3 has been the hardest for me so far...with the nausea and vomiting. I just had some chicken noodle soup and crackers, hopefully I will keep it all in.

Bizarrely I have no nausea at all with this chemo. They give me IV ondansetron before chemo so I think that is all I need. They give me pills to take home and I do take them but not as often as is prescribed. I'm feeling lucky in that respect.

I have experienced nausea before with chemo but only when they forgot to give me my meds. I thought "ah it's fine! I've never felt sick before!" Then I realised why when I threw up about 4 times! Ondansetron is great though. Within half an hour of taking it I was eating with no problems.

Glad your in better spirits Sickofpink - must be that you don't have to cook for Christmas!! We have a big assorted seafood dinner on Christmas Eve (the Italian in me) and on Christmas Day we will have Lasagna w/meatballs  - I don't have to cook either - Yeah!!!  First time in 38 years!!!!

Michelle, so glad you aren't having nausea..never heard of your med but as long as it works.....

Kaelia - I sure hope you feel better soon.  I have been eating everything in site today and it all stayed down - it will show up on the scale I'm sure....

Zofran was giving me massive 2 day headaches.  I was being given it orally before starting chemo.  They switched me to Aloxi, and poof no headache.

Politico~I'm going to ask for that. I had a headache from zophran too, but only for a few hours.

I just watched the 11:00 news. Potential for 6 inches of snow in central Ohio on Wednsday. No thank you!

Thanks LuvBugs! The food is still in and I did take some Zofran that helped also. Milkyway, I am on day 3 also, if you take some strong tylenol; it will help with body aches. Paula, stay warm and safe! Merry early Christmas everyone!!

Back from a week off with my parents and the kids. That was a LOT of reading to catch up!! Maychen, I am so sorry that you are having to cope with a new diagnosis, but happy to hear that you are coming at this fist flying. We are here to cheer you on when keeping your fists up gets hard.

It was nice to be able to relax and sleep, but I may have overdone it with the lifting of kids on and off toilets etc.

Anyone else experiencing this - I have redness around the scar in my armpit where I had the ax disection (but it isn't hot or swollen), and there are some red streaks radiating out that look like bleeding under the skin. I have some other huge bruises on my arms and legs, and I am not a bruiser at all, so am guessing I have stretched the scar tissue and bruised it and am bruising easily these days?? I am guessing, as I am back at home so can't contact my doctor in Singapore to ask. Anyone else getting bruises, or any redness around their armpit scar after exerting themselves??

My muscles are really weak this time, especially in my legs, and like many others, I have peeling numb feet so I can't feel them when I walk. I have iced my hands at each TC treatment, so the hands are still working pretty well. Fun times... not looking forward to #3 this Wednesday. The worst part last time was the nausea that set in once I started on the neupogen shots. Not as bad as post-chemo, just always there, driving me crazy. I ate pretzels all day for days.

My 3 year old son with the hair fetish likes to pull my wig off and cuddle it to his face, stroking it!! Then he says, MOM!! Put your hair back on!!

Megan, welcome home.  It sounds like you have been overdoing it but of course I am no doctor.  I get pulling pains in my port every time I lift anything over 10 lbs, sometimes I think it's coming out my throat....  Maybe you can get those kids on the pottyCry - forget the toilet too much lifting....My muscles are very weak also and I want to exercise but everything seems to pull at my port....Feel like puddy!!

Sick of pink - I've been in and out of the bitchy mood too!!  I scream at husband (because he's the only one here) I'm a regular Dr. Jeckel, Mrs. Hyde!!!   Yesterday my daughter, daughter in law and grandkkids came over in a troop, they cleaned my house!!!  I was so happy I had to get over my rage...(I was bitchin all day about the floors needed to be washed, etc)--

Maryah& Politico  kAELIA now I know - Zofran, I get that too....It works for me!!! Hope you girls have no more side effects.

Milkyway, I ached sooo bad yesterday (Saturday( the pains are easing now but as you can see, I am awake all night it's 3 am

Paula, get ready for the big snow - do you have a sled! We could use a dusting of white here for Christmas - kids would love it....On the grass only.....

OK girls, I'm going to try and go back to sleep....Nite nite..Kiss

    Morning all!

Megan - Welcome home. I also have the angry red scar under my arm at the site of the lymph node removal. It gets tender when I over exert. The issue with the bruising is a side effect of chemo and blood count which requires contacting your Onc. Don't ignore it!

Luvbugs - Your love bugs are adorable! Wish I could expand the pic! Love Italian food too!

Milky Way/ sick of pink - my 3rd treatment has been the worst so far with body aches and fatigue. I am 2 weeks in and the symptoms have not improved. No steady recovery until the next shot - scheduled for 1/4.

This round has not given me any nausea at all. The pre-chemo cocktail seems to be enough to keep it at bay. Eating like a horse and adding poundage!

The nulasta shot on the other hand kicked my butt and left me in great pain for 48 hours. That shot seems to have a cumulative effect on the body too. Went from no issues with shot 1, to neck and shoulder pain shot 2, to full body pain shot 3. Figure I'll be hospitalized with shot 4.

Hope all you ladies have a fantastic Christmas!!

    Virtual hugs to all!

Welcome back Megan, I am doing pretty good so far dh and I are taking a road trip to Calif to see my kids and grandbabies for Xmas. The grandbabies don't know we are coming so they will be exited, we are taking it slow and instead of a 2 day road trip we are making it 3 days. I am trying to stay in the fighter mode, but find myself having a one person pity party more then I like.

Luvbugs your 5 are beautiful! I'm also up at weird times in the night. I go to sleep rather early then wake up and can't go back.

Shout out to sickofpink, and all of you guys.

This morning while showering for church, I noticed I had to keep rinsing hair off my hands as I was shampooing. I haven't had any tingling or tenderness, but I definitely think the hair is on its way out. I'm so glad I cut it short 2 weeks ago. A little less to deal with. I imagine I will be buzzing it mid week, but I've already made my peace with it.

    Blessings

Paula I'm keeping what little I have left even though it's getting thinner and thinner, it's a cushion under my wig and even though everyone laughs when I pull of my wig unexpectedly,  I kind of got use to the Clarabell look Kiss
