Busy doing nothing on a lazy weekend.  Hello to everyone. Alexandria, sign me up to get you novel! Folks, whatever is going on, don't bother reading or don't let other people get to you. You are doing them a favor by being upset and showing them that their opinion is worth a flying bat. Really, WHO CARES! Let's drop this other web site thing, please! It's childish and silly. And a boring subject. Not interested in reading about it. I don't CARE what these people say or when they say it. Yawn!

ETA: Sorry for sounding irritable, but it gets depressing to read about some phantom idiots somewhere else when we are all coping with much more momentous things, from cancer to marriage. We can exercise our own choices and not visit certain places. Twits are everywhere. I say, stay away and welcome to this twit-free thread.

Anyone diagnosed with cancer should learn to have a healthy disrespect for statistics. Statistics are maths. It's the science which still eludes us.

From the Pre-Raphaelite painter John William Waterhouse - for those who enjoy that period (late 19th Century):

And my "War on Christmas" rant was referring to what I'm seeing on facebook. Nothing to do with anyone here or there.

I think if I said I'd never go look, then I'd have to filbuster my own offer. Cool

Yesterday we had one of our fun lenticular clouds.... I stopped to snap this photo on my way home from a beautiful walk in the woods.

Have not been Christmas shopping, decorating or lazing (I WISH). Been getting ready for our trip to India next Friday. Had to get more of my scripts, organize my many vitamins, organize my cosmetics, buy new undies, try to get the house in shape for our dog sitter plus leave her a list of stuff to do , pay bills, put away valuables. Haven't completed all the above, but got off to a good start. Still have to pack. Plus, I have multiple appointments next week before we leave so I really need to be packed by the end of the day tomorrow, as I will have very little time after that. Arrrrrrggghh!

Finally got off my bum and went for a ride. My knee did hurt but not too badly. Still did 10kms in 31 minutes, so I haven't lost any fitness. I updated my cycle diary spreadsheet and saw I hadn't been for a month - naughty Susie. It is very hot here, so very early AM is the best time to go, just haven't gotten around to it lately.

We went on a river cruise lunch yesterday for our get together but after we docked, I was SO tired, I came home and left ChrissyB with the others - I'm such a party pooper but I did get a much needed nap.

Suzie - that looks like "my" Kate in your photo?

Kad2kar - you have to live near a very tall mountain to get these clouds!

Kam, love that cloud.  I really didn't think UFO.  It looks like a top hat to me.

RR - we had a great one of these clouds on Valentine's Day, back in the 1990's....I couldn't find a photo.  It arose with a brilliant blue sky in the backdrop and it sat right over our downhill ski area.  I went skiing that day and and there it sat, in great view while riding up the chairlift. Ofcourse, you could see it from town too.

Yorkie - I remember you talking about going to India.  My friend just returned. I haven't spoken with her yet.  I'm jealous (sort of...not sure I could handle it now!).

Kam, that photo is amazing. We can get some spectacular formations but have never seen one like that.

About to head to DS's birthday lunch, BBQ on his back lawn. Returning to him the statue of David which we have repainted. He was given it as a 21st present by a group of his friends. Then after gracing several flats it appeared in my garden where it resided for 5 years while he was overseas and so we thought it fitting that it returns home to him now. I am not sure that he will agree and certainly don't think his fiancee will be too happy.

    Have a great weekend.

Kam let me know if your friend has some tips. I'm not sure I am up to it either, but, gulp, I'm going. Once I get there I'll be fine. It's the getting there that worries me. I have my sleeve, which gives me some reassurance.

When I say I'm not up to it, it's just that I still have really bad days on exemestane and PN.  I was there about 15 years ago and loved it, but you do have to have an adventuresome streak.  I was in the poorest areas of India, so it could be totally different for you - aren't you going to Delhi?  I tried to call my friend today, but no answer.

This was a cool little story of a friendship between Kate the dog and Pippin the deer, on Nature.   Occasionally, something catches my cat Emma's eye on tv, and she kept her eyes glued on this story.  They use to play Ice Age at Emma's shelter and the cats all lined up in a little circle around the tv to watch.

Kam, we'll be in New Delhi. No extreme adventures on the agenda.

My yorkie also watches t.v., or she used to in her youth. I'm watching "Too Cute" on Animal Channel right now and she just wants to sleep.

Yorkie, my kitty, Swiffer, was watching "Too Cute" tonight as well. She's absolutely glued to the screen. I think her favorite channels are Animal Planet and Nat Geo Wild. She'll plonk herself down on the coffee table and not move until commercials, when she'll wander off. As soon as she realizes the programs are back on, it's back up to the coffee table. My other kitty, Lucy, pays no attention whatsoever. LOL
