Shoulda told Rider, she could ask for a report from the radiologist right after test. They will do it under the following circumstances

    1. test is negative

    2. follows departmental policy---I imagine someplaces have a policy against it

    3. ok by dept policy and radiologist is comfortable doing it. Some go into radiology b/c they are technology oriented and not necessarily people oriented. That's okay, we need all kinds.

4.if they don't and you know they could if they wanted too--don't assume a negative report. Could be that they are just slammed with reports to do and can't interrupt what they are doing. To us, we need the immediacy of a report. To the radiologist who won't interrupt their activity, they would preceive it the same way as a surgeon being asked to interrupt surgery to talk to us.

Store this thought away for future reference. I have often when scheduling,  found out what the policy is and asked for a note to be included with the appointment that I would like to talk with the Radiologist after the test.

I'm home, finally.  I was an add in. I had to wait for an available operating room. WAs at the hospital at 8AM. I waited until after 2 to have the procedure done. I was thirsty, hungry and very tired. By the time they took e in I was very excited to go. The surgeon had me undergo concious sedation. The last time I had that was for a port placement 3 years ago. I was not sedated much and screamed at them the entire time. At the end I felt like I was raped. Anyway, I was sedated quite well. I remember the surgeon coming into the room. When I woke up I asked if I was singing before I was completely out. They told me I sang, "Let Me Entertain You (Gypsy Rose Lee)".

Rest of port story (2009): When I got home that night, I grabbed aknife and was ready to take the thing out myself. My husband made me take ativan to calm me down. Hated that thing. Hated everytime they accessed it. Hated looking at the bump it made. Hated the scar. I had them take it out as soon as it was over. Even fought with my oncologist to have it out. This time I said no to it. They will not put me out for placement so I won't have it done. I suffered so long with PTSD from the insertion ordeal.

I'm home. I don't have any pain. I'm tired. I want to get my pajamas on and sleep.

LMAO at Veggy singing Let Me Entertain You. hehehehehe.

I used naughty language in class today. There is this one guy who is so incredibly - well - insensitive to everyone else. I guess he has some sort of disability. He is very smart and very geeky, but oh so inappropriate. And it isn't cute like Sheldon on Big Bang Theory. So he was trying to show me something completely irrelevant to the class, but with my fuzzy-headedness I didn't see that at first. So I was trying to understand what the eff he was saying when all of a sudden I realized it was BS and I screamed something like "oh eff Steve! What the eff are you trying to do to me?" Oh me. Oh my. When I got back to my seat the boys way at the end of my row said "that was harsh." LOL Whoopsy! People need to stop messing with this hormonal beeyatch withdrawing from her SSRI. They just need to stop messing with me. Do you think I ought to wear a sign or something? muahahahaha

Well, well, well.  Bunches of informational items in here.  I have decicded that since Thanksgiving is over, I picked up sme quickie dressing.  We don't even buy Thankgiving TV din-din no more and WE DON'T CARE.  Now, that is an act, pure and simple, of just exactly what the hell we want.  Smile.  Reminds me, DUNE, actually being tired and worn slam out, this is known as post-cancer misery.  I don't know when it goes away, but I head for the couch and snacks and TV.  Last night I was MIGHTY throw-upppy and diarrhea, all out of control for A couple hours last night, felt sort of hallucinogenic this morning, online said drink apple cider vinegar, went out in subzero temps, crying, to get the fool stuff.  Oh, and for those immature UGLY boys in your class, Dune, I have a button I wear somtimes, it jus says, "Ask me if I care."  Hahaha.

Thank you all for the computer tips.  We got both plug-in and wi-fi for our regular computer, and I jotted down all tips I'e come across and am almost ready to waste some cash. If I had the strength and will, oh I'd be doing so important and fun stuff, but I'm simply not there yet. But we shall see.  Lots of love to all, GG

My sweet friend was in too much pain to be moved to hospice, so hospice came to her. My. Husband drove me all around trying to find her. I came into her house meowing like usual. When she me she gave me a smile. Poor girl was in so much pain. Right now her morphine finally kicked in and she is snoring. I told her I was spending the night... Pajama party.

I am still feeling good. I don't have any pain from the surgery. I'll check in later with you ladies. I' in your pocket if anyone wants me.

((((Rider))))...I hope you're getting some rest.

Sassy...2 or 3 day hospital stay. Something about them taking muscle from my back and wrapping it around and making it into a breast looking thing?? Equates to horrible pain apparently...and my radiated tissue is a disaster so I think that's where the real concern is. But, I know my doctor is an amazing surgeon and I know he'll do the best that can be done.

I'm really very pissed off right now at how f-ing dramatically different my life is almost 2 years out...how can anyone find a "normal" anything??? Shit keeps changing, people suffer, nothing resembles or falls near the category of 2010. I have one question.....one word....

    WHY???

I kinda know what you mean Fuzzy. For me everything is different. I'll never be who I was in '09 . The way I look at things is all together not me and it will never be. I just don't care. It's not depression...it's that expression I hear...It's the new me.

There should be a law against writing a carefully written message and then watch it delete.  SIGH.  I'll shorten it, becuz I really got to get on the couch for some good old-fashioned Tv and snacks and dog and books.  VEGgie, shows such character for you to do some sleep-overs with your girlfriend while she is going he last little bit left to her.  I'm glad she finally slept, morphine and enough of it will do the trick, for sure.

FUZZ, you asked what made me sick, and it was some mushrooms in the freezer, so you can imagine just how disgusting the diarrhea and throw-up was.  The Apple Cider Vinegar worked perfectly, and I'm completely normal and happy now, just a little tired.  I relly lost it prety badly for a couple days.

It's FREEZING up in the Great Smokies, in the 20s for a week now, frost, lots of blankies, clothes and blankets and socks and heading pad things.  I'm heading for the couch and TV stuff now, Can't situp no more.  I LOVE ALL OF YOU and especially my owne true sister Fuzzy.  GG

I ended up sleeping on the floor and waking up every so often to listen to her snore. She was in so much pain yesterday. Once they got enough morphine into her she was able to relax and sleep. I think they have under control now. I had to come home, back to my normal, and relax and take care of me. I might go back tonight for and hour and sit with her. Anyway she praactically threw me out saying I needed to take care of myself.

I think I was just kicked in the teeth by my shrink! I called to make sure some papers were faxed and he filled them out wrong. Not just an "oops" but more a..."you're just fine and head into the shitstorm now". I'm so ready to just give up on all this MH stuff...I'm thinking Veggy is on it...its not depression or anxiety...its just the way it is. I'm Going to really think about this while I'm recovering.

Ducky...oh thanks sweetheart! That was so nice of you: )

GG...I love you back! I'm so sorry about those mushrooms...my oh my that musta been rough!!!

Granny....you're right too! We're here, we have each other, we have respect for all those things and others...I know for me, I just hit a brick wall and forget how to spin myself around and walk away from it!

Ok. Gotta go pack for my little procedure tomorrow. Found out today I have to be there by 8:15am, surgery at 10:30...should be 3.5 hours long. See you all when I'm coherent! LOL

I read a funny mushroom story once.  A French family when mushroom hunting and came home with their finds. They all ate a lot of mushrooms and gave some to their cat. After 1/2 hour they noticed the cat's stomach was convulsing. They went to the ER and had their stomachs pumped. Then they went home and discovered the cat with her kittens.

    In all pockets where needed.
