Happy Thanksgiving Hermits! Have a wonderful day!
bgirl what a dream...win the lottery! I have the same dream! Boy I could use that right now. In reality, the truth is I would have a very hard time winning considering the fact that I don't buy tickets.
-
Turkey is stuffed and in the oven.
Husband buys weekly lottery tickets, and I love them for stocking stuffers at X-mas. A gift that might give back!
Sadly, I heard on the "national news" that studies are showing that a mammogram is of little help in detecting a more aggressive BC. I know several women off-line who would agree, seeing how they found their own aggressive BC within 3 months after having a mammogram. I've only had mammograms, ultrasounds, and biopsies.
I never felt a lump with an ongoing pain in one spot, but luckily was due yearly mammogram which detected aggressive BC. We must never ignore our bodies when they whisper!
-
Teka I agree on the Mammo my cousin had a mammo and it came out fine and in just a couple of months she herself found a big lump??? So???
after all this talk of pie--we'd better have pies today, but after eating I want my pie much later when I go home hahaha but like we said my own pie with my plastic fork (still use them) and slowly enjoy it. Just in case, I have my very own chessecake in the freezer--It's my back-up plan
Well I ertainly hope u all have a wonderful Thansgiving with blessing for all.
-
Sunny Thanksgiving in the North Country.
-
teka...that would be me you are talking about re mammos
Mine was fine , then 12 months later ready for followup, I found the lump. I will insist on US as THAT was the best diagnostic test for me.
Happy Thanksgiving Ladies!
-
Where's markat? Gone on a walk about?
Happy Thanksgiving markat where ever you are!
-
Whaevsh--Markats probably bsking pies and going somewhere---we're loosing her. WAAAAAAAA
-
Happy Thanksgiving to our American Hermits and happy Thursday to you Canadians! Do your stores open tonight for sales? Or tomorrow?
I'm exhausted. And so so full. -
Some stores will open Thanksgiving. I'll have to let the meal settle before pie.
-
Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends. Hope you are all full, happy and get a good rest tonight.
Some of the stores here in Canada had sales today and are opening early tomorow. They are trying to keep the shopping dollars on this side of the border. Especially for those of us who live within 2 hrs or less of a crossing.
Baked today for church bake sale.... did a bit extra to put away .... busy but sleepy tonight .... hopefully that will last.
Love to you all.
-
Happy pie to all. (Friend of 30 years showed up today with no warning. It was wonderful.) I second camille's sentiments--am thankful for each of you. Anyone venturing out for bargains? (not I, cries the hermit within)

Teka, we had a beautiful sunny day here in Florida too!
Skittle LOL!!! I echo you! Anyone venturing out for bargains? (not I, cries the hermit within)
I third camille's sentiments (second skittle's)--am thankful for each of you.
I am also thankful to my BCO sister who had me over to her home for Thanksgiving Day dinner! It was a really delightful time, good company, and wonderful food that we feasted on!
-
Oh, I have to tell you! I went for a drive down "Gulf Blvd. on St. Pete Beach" tonight. One of the beach/surf shops sells "Hermits Crabs" and the marquis outside was flashing..."Come in to get your HERMIT CRAB"...and it had a little picture of the crab poking her head out of the shell!!! Guess who I thought of??? YOU ALL!!! Made me smile!
-
-
I am having pumpkin pie for breakfast!
-
Hope that is with lots of whip cream .... you just said that to make us jealous.
No black friday shopping for me ... don't really need more stuff.... except fo a new kitchen floor.

Ya'll I am still around - so sorry I just cannot keep up with all of you wild women! Yes, we are getting two rescue chihuahuas...not until December though. Rads is going fine, 7 down, 21 to go. I feel bad posting when I cannot stay caught up with everyone else. Have a good weekend.
-
You're welcome to post at any time. Pups will make for a fun X-mas!
-
Klt there's nothing to catch up on here. We're all the same, just let us know how u'r doing.
Yes we are all so wild One sentence Teka (LOL) is pretty much what's happening hahaha
-
kltb04 nice to see you ! Good to hear rads are going well. Oh my, what a busy house you will have with 2 new puppies. Hope the cats are ok, mine would never adjust. I bet the kids are excited.
Playing on my laptop and I am about ready to throw it through the window. Keep losing wifi connection and won't go in the office for fear of the mounds of paper I need to address. Behind at work so I have to buckle up next week.
Have a great weekend all~
-
Whaevah u'll catch up I' sure--How u girls works amazes me --sometimes I think I could work part time but realistically I'd have more days off than on so that job would fall apart. So here I am just playin on the computer and watching TV and going out when I can and Im fine My D stopped a little while ago so I hope it stays away I want to meet my GF's for lunch tom. and I have blood work and A bone scan Monday- So if it stays away til Tuesday I'll be happy..
-
Busy hermits! Yay, puppies!
flwarrior--you make me miss the beach! Wish we had settled there. Love love sand and ocean.
bgirl--somehow have always been waaay more successful with puppy and dog training than hubby training. :-) Praise just doesn't seem to work really well. Dunno why.
whaevah--I sympathize with back to work woes. Seven-inch stack of essays waiting to be graded. Guess I'll have to actually face them tomorrow... back to reality.
camille--best wishes for good blood work and bone scan results. Feel good for your outings!
teka--
happy thoughts.
-
Skittle...how about a bonfire !? Between us we can probably fuel enough for marshmellow for the gang here
flwarrier..went to the beach today, it was chilly but sunny...lol hermit crab
camillegal...lunching with girls is considered a job in my book, fun but still a job
bgirl...have a fun weekend with DD1, let her eat pie!
teka..
markat...hope our show is good tonight, I am having wine...again. It is delicious , really missed it
-
whaevah--let the flames begin! (but since it's your idea--that I love and can fully throw my energies behind, what do I tell the parents??)
Hermits, all--whoever wins the lottery buys us each a ticket to meet, have pie, roast marshmallows, and put up our freshly polished toes in the luxury of a spa on the beach.
