I'm feelin beta.if I don't feel 100percent by Monday I am goin to go to the dr.
Don't want antibiotics....can't afford to start up with my stomach...it is just starting to get beta...I'm gonna try the tea and dbl.up on some of my supplements.
And gonna get some different cough medicine..
All that tomorrow!!!!!!
Be well everyone...some kinda bug is goin around all over the country. -
Granny....I'm glad your feeling better! You made me laugh so hard because I was just "hearing" your NJ accent with your New Orleans way of talking!!! LOL probably not accurate but damn tricky and funny in my head!!
-
fuzzy...funny lady....that's a Brooklyn accent.born and raised there...in nj. 6ys...since I retired..now I'm in pa and they really talk different.
Anyway....I'm not beta...I thought so but this morn.it was right back to the way it was....SO tomowwow I will take this skinny but to a dr.who knows shit about me...
Day 8 is not a common cold.Ill keep u posted. -
I hated to get the antibiotics, but I hated to deal with this illness on top of everything else even worse. I definitely felt better today than that past few days, so I guess the antibiotics are kicking in. I could not clear the nasal congestion this morning, could not breathe through my nose at all, so I heated up some soup and loaded it with habanero sauce. That did the trick. LOL. Cold medicines couldn't move it, but that sure did!

My baby puppy "found" his Christmas toy...it's a fish that makes bubble noises. Makes him kooky when the bubble sound goes off. So, just now, he comes up to me all excited with a little orange piece of fabric sticking out of his cheek...yup, he ripped off a fin! Parading around with it like he caught a trophy fish of the shores of Hawaii or something!!! Doesn't cure any bugs that are going around but it sure is cute
He's my medicine....hee hee
-
Sharing my "medicine" with ya all...
-
Incase you're not feeling better yet...
-
Last one....
-
Sure gives me the warm 'fuzzies':-)
Which is good because i still feel like crap since chemo friday. Have mostly been asleep except went to walmart this aft and mom had to push me around in a wheelchair felt too weak to walk. Really hating this shit but glad for anybody who is feeling better...
Hugs to all -
Rider....chemo-crappy is the worst...but, yea for you for going out!! Big hug for you...XOXO
-
Ditto. Big hug for rider. How is veggy making out with her chemo?
-
Rider, hang on Girl, We are allthinking of you and praying in are own ways.
Granny, Make sure you honker up a big gubber for the doc to see. Can influence what antibiotic he uses. Phelgm from the lungs are associated with different illnesses. For example, green and rust are commonly associated with pneumonia. Glad you are going. Very glad you are going
)
Fussy
your baby is so cute. Found a cheap way to get toys for dogs to chew up with delight, without it costing and arm and leg--lots of money. Thrift stores selling stuffed animals CHEAP---.50-1.00. Throw them into the washer, add a little bleach if so inclined, clean fresh toy for their enjoyment of tearing it apart.
Dunes get better:)
GG It will happen one day at a time and one small space. 3-4 feet square. Then it's not so overwhelming.
Nancy sweetie--is on a break, but will be back!!!!
PTd been meaning to ask, how the hearing adapting is going?
W6-haven't heard from her?
Crog all's well on the home front?
SpecialK talked with Galsal and she told me how you came and sat with her after her Mastectomy, just like you did me. A special blessing upon you to take so much time out of your life for others(((squishing HUGS)))). Vaccine treatment should almost be over???
We will all be busy this week, So, in case I'm not back. Everyone have a wonderful Thanksgiving. We'll all see another Thanksgiving, for which we can give thanks for. L&H&P's Namaste sheila

I didn't want to scare anyone....but....I've packed ya all in my pocket and we're at the dentist. It'll be over soon....
-
Boo!................ Okay, I guess for you. (c:
-
Well....I'm "clenching" but I haven't busted anything so that's good. MH appt tomorrow...ugh.
I get to pick up my youngest tomorrow night! We'll have our Thanksgiving on Friday just because the schedule is better for all...my mom has Dialysis every Thursday so we just work around it.
I'm curious is anyone has that one special dish you always have for Thanksgiving....ours is sweet potatoes (with honey, butter, brown sugar and pecans)..... -
SAS. Hopefully things are better now. Had appointment with surgeon last Monday. He sent me to the hospital from his office (tell you right up front there was no infection). He decided that the area was not going to heal so last Tuesday morning he went in and cleaned out dead tissue and restitched me up. Came home on Friday and I am now back to healing.. A set back but hopefully I am moving forward again. Just makes it that much longer before I can get my prosthesis. Visiting nurses coming daily to keep an eye on it and change bandages..
Cindy -
Rider - chemo sick is just so crummy. AC is the devil I know too well. Hang in there sister.
And everyone else who's fighting sick, take care! Get lots of rest!
-
I tasted some sweet potatoes with all that plus I think cranberries at Trader Joe's the other day. It was delicious -- but not organic so I didn't get it.
We do turkey, stuffing, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, cranberries. There must be another veggie, but then again, I had such an aversion to veggies until after the cancer dx and my committment to a primarily vegetarian diet. I guess I'll be eating some turkey. I guess I kind of don't know. Mom won't be getting an organic turkey so it is going to be loaded with growth hormones, which I avoid. However, can one day hurt? I don't really think so. I normally don't eat potatoes or stuffing either. The sauekraut will be OK. LOL. I guess I will have to give this some thought.
-
Gonna make this short..went to have this thing checked on...yeah it's chronic/acute bronchitis along with a touch of pneumonia....got antibiotics along with a puffer...I'm really tired soo ill catch up later in the week.
Thanks for all the info.
Hugggs K -
I'm glad you got to the doc grannydukes. You were very strong to tough it out so long. It took a couple of days for the antibiotics to kick in but then I started feeling better. You should be feeling ok by Thanksgiving. I sure hope so!!!!!
-
Cindy....you know you're one tough cookie...I hope this set back is minimal...
Granny...knock that bug right the hell out!!
Hi Sassy SAS!! Hoooow was your weekend?
my DH went to watch football with his friends..he's home now...and praying to the porcelain Gods....LOL why do I share everything with you all?? Because, I know you're laughing at him just like I am!! Hee hee...he had fun. Poor baby.... -
....we also have greenbean casserole, spiral Ham, Turkey, mashed taters with pounds of butter and ranch dressing, and my youngests most favorite part...pumpkin pie.
I just want them home so bad. -
Hello all - sorry to hear about all who are not feeling well - from germs, chemo, non-healing, or anything else! Sending healing thoughts out to all!
sas - that was sweet to say - it is that old thing, it feels good to do good for others, you know? I know YOU do, you do it all the time!
DS will not be home for T-day - he has to work, but will be home for Christmas. I am rounding up the strays, former co-worker and her brother who lost their mom to BC a few years ago, and good friends who had T-day last weekend because their DD works (pediatric oncology nurse - how hard must that job be?) on T-day also. We will have fun and lots of food - some of it will be organic and healthy, some most decidedly will not!
-
Whoa...peds oncology....whoa...
I'm pretty sure there isn't a single healthy thing planned for our table. Well..there's still good stuff in it, right? Like vitamins and minerals and stuff....I think!
Hubby is spinning...and still in his cavern...he's even cute when he does this to himself! Puppy decided his face needed a bath and DH couldn't do much about it... -
Dune, How about taking a vegetable dish to contribute? That way there will be 2 things good for you. I agree that one day is not going to cause problems. Have fun.
-
Ran my fingers through my hair.
Got a handful of hair.
Deep down I am not ready for this.
-
Babe i'm so sorry i remember exactly how i felt when that happened. Not even going to say it will be ok cause it wont until u are ready for it. It was the one thing i wasnt ready for yet. But i will say i thought i would die without hair and now i hardly wear a wig just wear my scarves.
Big hugs to you
