I say yes, you say no, OR People are Strange

I've almost totally quit peeking next door.......every time I read there I start to feel loony and realize I'm reading regurgitated total slop from Farce News. Wasn't that movie Fareinheit 451 or something like that where everyone ( well it was hoped ) was brain-washed and had a t.v. to watch which is who and what kept them in lline. That is exactly what I think of when I jump channels on my t.v. and hit Faux News. Those news people are sitting there with a strange stare -- a funny far away look in their eyes.
What little I heard on news tonight ( I don't watch much as I wait till Dh gets home from work so we can watch together ) sounds like Repugs in droves now are putting distance between themselves and Romney. They don't want his calls, nor want input from him on why their was a loss -- who in their right mind would?? I don't know when the Repugs will get their heads on straight, if ever, but I hope the delusion that a business man would make a great President sinks into oblivion -- or at least one who delves in flipping companies for profit like Romney.
McCain....pretty much off my redemption list for good too. Little buddy Graham right along with him. What a sorry bunch.
More reading to do, I'll be checking back later.

Athena - I didn't know there was more than one way to get 'em done... Mine were the origami style
of slicing and dicing the skin on my breast. There was a bit of a problem because of where my scars ended up, but I'm so happy that all the cutting is done, that they could have disappeared altogether and I'd still be joyous. -
Never sure where to place Lindsey Graham. Sometimes he seems so moderate and reasonable and at others he forms the most unexpected alliances. He is sort of one half Arlen Specter and one half Mitch McConnell (or Trent Lott!).
-
Hello - gg - how interesting. They did perform a sort of origami incision on my breasts for the areolas but to make the nipple is where they took skin from the abdomen. These people are geniuses.

Speaking of vulture capitalism and Hostess, the goverment version of that is being perpetrated on the US Postal Service in current time. Denny Hastert and the rest of his crew, during the lame duck session of 2006 passed a bill that puts unreasonable financial demands on the agency.
The USPS economic crisis is the result of a provision of the Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act of 2006 that requires the Postal Service to pre-fund the health care benefits of future retirees—a burden no other government agency or private company bears.
The legislation requires the USPS to fund a 75-year liability over a 10-year period, and that requirement costs the USPS more than $5.5 billion per year. Guffey also pointed out that “the federal government is holding billions of dollars in postal overpayments to its pension accounts.”
All of the USPS losses over the past four years come from this mandate. You cannot find another organization in the world, AFAIK, that pre-funds 75 years of benefits over a 10-year period.
This was a Republican plan for the USPS to fail and to put mail and package delivery totally in the hands of the private sector.
I love my post office. In my job, I've lived in places with populations of 100 who would never get mail delivery without a goverment post office. There is no Saturday delivery for rural areas from UPS or FedEx.
Who requires any company to fund retirement and healthcare benefits for employees that aren't even born?

Athena and GG - I have ear lobe grafts for nipples. :-)
-
What? Ear lobes into nipples...Please explain E! I'm postponing nipples til I can get the right foob in the proper place and have consequently postponed any research....ear lobes???
-
Kam -
Yep! I had rather large lobes so there was plenty to use. The PS took a wedge-shaped piece from each ear, sewed the remainder together, and grafted the pieces onto the foobs. I'm very pleased with the result - naturally pinker than the rest of my foob skin and some slight protrusion. -
Kind of cool though - since ear lobes are one of those parts of the body that continues to grow as we age, and probably identify us as older, you killed two birds with one stone! Ok, I'm having deja vu on this one....I swear I've had this ear lobe discussion somewhere else. Now, to get a nose job out of making nipples.
-
Yeah, but you might have nose hairs growing from your foobs. Not to mention the foogers.
-
I love my tiny litle post office. UPS and Fed EX put all my packages in the mail. The mailman is the only one who will come to my house.
Twinkies and Wonder Bread join Poopa John's Olive Garden and Crappleby's on the list on the list of things I will not miss. Besides if the world ends we won't need them.
-
LOL....and I suppose you could wear a nice pair of earrings on your nips? Somehow I imagine myself doing nothing about nips. I had a friend that did that.
-
Rosemary...if there is nothing else, it has become quite apparent that some of the unhealthiest food is served by Obama-haters. Is that a coincidence?
-
HL - thank you for the link to the McCain article - I forgot about the Keating Five. Knew all about his crashing planes and using "family" connections, famous name, to push himself forward. Still find it hard to believe he plays the "hero" role - anything but. Sad he got tortured, but he had no business flying - after the number of planes he'd crashed - borders on incompetent, another trying to "please his daddy, grand daddy" - not surprised about his temper - he's always been ( are you here Blue) an idjut - holeass, we dodged a bullet when he ran too! Seems to be a candidate for the Rethuglican party, ya just gotta outlast the others.
Now McCain can't stand to be away from the TV cameras - never was a very impressive person, and wonder if he knows how he's being laughed a now. Didn't even to to Petraeus hearing - went on tellie instead.
I AM SO GLAD THIS ELECTION IS OVER. And I am so, so,so happy we have four more years to listen to and watch President Obama, and his family. And of course, Senator Elizabeth Warren. Giggled when nurse took my blood pressure yesterday 110/60 - lowest it's been in months!!!!! Weight loss helps, I'm sure - but thinking about the ELECTION helps more

Earlobes - wow, enjoyful. Also giggling, if you were able to wiggle your ears, can you now wiggle your foobs?
Ok - guess it's time for me to go to sleep....nite all.
-
Kam...for some reason I never pierced my ears! I have since the surgery tho.
Post office, Hostess, Papa Johns...it reminds me of a book I'm reading wherein corporations sponsor governments and wars are fought over market share and under the guise of patriotism. It's frightening me almost as much as The Handmaid's Tale. -
E - that's incredible!
-
Please ladies, I need lots of positive vibes for my Virgil as he is in an oxygen tank with an acute case of respiratory distress. They took X-Rays and his trachea is so collapsed that he can't breathe. They're shooting him up with antibiotics and steroids to see if that will open him up abit. If he is no better by tomorrow we have to make that tough decision because the collapse is in an inoperative area. We're a mess. I just want my Virgil home.
-
((((Virgil)))) So sorry to hear that, Blue!
-
You got them, Blue. Top of the list tonight.

(((Cathy and her Virgil)))

So sorry Blue. Prayers for Virgil, sweet baby.

-
Best wishes for Blue's Virgil!
-
Sending good thoughts out to Virgil, Blue . . . and a hug to you.
(I've been traveling and consequently scarce on this thread; gave a presentation at a conference down in Tennessee yesterday, then took today to visit my daughter's best friend - my second daughter, if you will - who goes to school nearby. Sending a big Tennessee hello with red-eye gravy* to everyone, congrats to Alexandria on the mortgage burning, and gratitude to Allyson sharing her story.)
*Had never had red-eye gravy before, and just had to try it with my country ham this morning. Now I never have to have it again. Thank goodness.

alex, The rules are different in every state but the final release document has to be recorded. The recorder's office will help you. Let's hope your documents are just fine as they are.
-
Oh Blue - so sorry about Virgil - sending love and kisses from Munchkin and me.
-
((((((((((((Virgil))))))))))) - Blue hope your baby comes through this.
Boy am I lucky. I was just leaving the supermarket and it looked like a storm was imminent. I tossed up going home to get my washing in or continuing on to the fruit and veg shop. Lucky I cared about my dry washing more - just made it home in time, got it in and WAMM a huge storm hit. Our gutters overflowed down the inside of the wall of our stairwell. Last time this happened, a couple of days later the wall swelled up and went mouldy. Insurance fixed it - hope this doesn't happen again. I just switched the house insurance to one of the brands in the group I work for but I can't afford the excess at the moment.
There are more fierce storms forecast for tomorrow.
-
suzieq....is this rather normal and expected or is it something of the climate problems we have been seeing happen here like the "Sandy" storm.

Blue .. I am so sorry to hear about Virgil. I love him so much. He is such a sweet boy. I hope the oxygen tank and the medicine helps him. You, Ray and Virgil are in my thoughts.
Sending love and a big hug to you.
